A Rainy Night In Paris Photo

When we first arrived at Walt Disney World on our last trip, it was pouring. Epcot was only open for another two hours that night when we arrived at our hotel, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. Most people would reaction to these two facts by skipping the park that night, not wanting to spend only a small period of time getting soaked in the rain. Not me.

I rejoiced that it was raining, because that meant “reflections” photos. I walked briskly from BoardWalk to the International Gateway entrance of Epcot, spending my entire time in the park taking photos. I didn’t do a single attraction. I had an especially fun time photographing France in the World Showcase and Spaceship Earth in Future World (as can be seen in this gorgeous photo), and of course, I always have fun just being in the parks soaking up the experience. Unfortunately, on this particular night, I soaked up something else (literally!), but it was well worth it!

Technical details: single exposure; handheld Nikon D7000 and Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 Lens. See our Disney Photography Guide for more photography equipment recommendations.
