2022 Epcot Festival of Arts Food Booth Menus & Figment Popcorn Bucket!
Walt Disney World has released Food Studio booth menus for the 2022 Epcot International Festival of the Arts, our favorite event of the year in the park! This post previews new & returning savory snacks and decadent desserts, along with a look at the new Figment popcorn bucket (!!!) that’ll debut during the event.
This year, the Epcot International Festival of the Arts at Walt Disney World runs from January 14 through February 21, 2022. The Food Studios are all located throughout the World Showcase pavilions and portions of the new neighborhoods of Future World, just like the Holiday Kitchens and Global Marketplaces before them. These food booths open each day from park opening until park closing.
For the most part, the 2022 Epcot International Festival of the Arts recycles booths used by the Christmas-time event, with a smaller slate than the Epcot Food & Wine Festival, the park’s “flagship” culinary event. (If you ask me, the food is better at Festival of the Arts–probably because there’s less demand, allowing for more attention to detail.) These 15 Food Studios showcase the best in culinary art, blending colorful ingredients, unique cooking techniques, and imaginative presentations to create edible masterpieces…
As you’ll see below, Walt Disney World’s culinary and beverage teams created some new foods for 2022 Epcot International Festival of the Arts, and also brought back numerous fan favorites. Highlights include the brand-new the Craftsman’s Courtyard.
Returning is the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine, a fun food stroll highlighting five sweet and savory offerings at the festival. Upon purchase of each, you’ll receive a stamp for your Festival Passport. As you travel throughout the Festival, collect stamps by purchasing five of these decadent dishes to redeem a special prize from Deco Delights to enjoy.
While a lot of this food looks absolutely fantastic, the unequivocal highlight from my perspective is the Figment popcorn bucket. As longtime readers know, I am a huge Figment fan (see above), so this excitement should not come as a surprise.
Probably less known is that I have strong feelings about popcorn buckets–and not positive ones. Let’s just say I do not “get” the appeal, and leave it at that. I’ve never bought a popcorn bucket at Walt Disney World, and previously never felt even a remote urge to do so. The latter part of that statement is no longer true.
I’m yet not sure how these two clashing feelings will resolve themselves. I love most things Figment and that popcorn bucket is adorable…but also impractical. (My main criteria for merchandise purchases these days is “will I use this outside the parks?” This results in the purchase of coffee mugs, but not much else.)
I also will not wait in any line whatsoever for merchandise, which might be the deciding factor here. If lines for the Orange Bird sipper released a couple years ago were any indication, the Pop Eats! Food Studio is going to have the longest wait time at Walt Disney World from January 14 through February 21, 2022. It’ll probably surpass Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, which will have a standby line by then.

YOUR THOUGHTS
Will you be buying the Figment popcorn bucket? Think the line for Pop Eats will be longer than Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure once that goes to standby? Do you have any favorite savory snacks or decadent desserts from the Epcot International Festival of the Arts? Any least favorite items? Do you think the food is worth the high price tags given the attention to detail, or is it all still overpriced? What are you looking forward to trying at the Food Studio booths? Any questions? Hearing from you is half the fun, so please share your thoughts in the comments!
Are the food booths open same hours as the park or do they close earlier?
I love Figment too! I have Figgy stuff from when EPCOT first opened. Oh gosh I want this bucket!!
Figment is real and this popcorn bucket will serve many uses. Can’t wait to get one! I actually told my wife that she could bury my cremations in the 50th bucket but now it could be the Figment bucket! Think of it lasting more than a lifetime!
My daughter loves Figment. We try to go to WDW at least 1 every 18 months. We live in Texas. We just went in early Dec. for 10 days. I did get the AP because it was a great discount with staying at the Yacht Club and parking our rental car at the parks. Is there any way we can purchase this bucket without actually being in the park?
@M_Kat no there is not a separate fee as far as admission goes, but the food and drinks are a-la-carte and you purchase what you wish at each booth. It works really well for several people to buy different food items and share them so you can all try many, many more items before becoming too bloated to walk. Then for the real standouts, like the always #1 SPAM Hash, you can get a second helping for yourself if you wish to do so. I like to budget $150 a day for food and drink at festivals, so you will spend more money but it is well worth it in my ever so humble view.
This will be my first time at any event at Epcot so, is there an additional fee for the food part of the festival and where can I find that information?
Thank you in advance.
I see so many items that look so delicious! My husband and I were there in September during F&W, but I was not impressed. Lines were way too long for things I didn’t really find appealing anyway. But these menus look amazing! I won’t make it there this year, but definitely will remember for future trips. Thank you for always having the scoop!
@Tom, no way man, mushrooms are a decay mechanism, not food! Now, back in college we might’ve looked for certain ones spored off psilocibin (sp?) in the woods, but…
I want that bucket but mostly I’m just there to watch the brawls. We finally got a 50th tumbler for a friend. She was sooo excited. We didn’t have to beat up any old ladies over it either. People lost their mind the first day of sales for an 18 month event. Personally I don’t get the long lines for merch. There’s probably a whole crate of them stuck on a freight ship somewhere that will not be here by the festival’s end.
We just picked up our “sold out” Halloween merch in December at the outlet. Made for a nice Christmas gift.
I’m so excited for these menus since the Arts Festival was my favorite last year, both in terms of the festival and the food. Sadly, it’s also the only festival where both my fiancé and I both got food poisoning. Since I didn’t see any widespread reports on Twitter, we think it was an individually plated item and decided the deconstructed BLT had to be the culprit. Our egg was pretty freaking raw on that one. We’ll be avoiding that booth this year. I’m excited for the Encanto booth/Colombian food, although that was my favorite booth overall last year and I’m sad the blue corn pupusa won’t be back.
We’re not going until the last weekend, so I very highly doubt the Figment popcorn buckets will still be in stock. That’s unfortunate since that would have been an instant purchase for me.
Yup we start our trip on the 15th. For my daughters sake, I hope that the figment bucket, isn’t one of those things all the AP’s flock to and it sells out in a day. typically doens’t happen with a bucket. But I’ll be honest, I’m not the kind of person who, “drinks around the world” hell i’ll probably only make it to America, and thats pushing it. But there are a lot of good drinks on there, so looks like it might be a few days of trying out the booths.
I’m with you on the popcorn and popcorn bucket fanaticism, Tom. And sick of all the APs constantly asking in groups if they can still get their stupid bucket refilled for free. I fully support being a cheapskate but seriously? I’ve seriously debated buying the M Falcon bucket for the last 2 years, but haven’t done it yet. And Figment is awesome, so…
Some of those dishes look amazing. But why ruin a good dish with fungus?
“But why ruin a good dish with fungus?”
You lost me here. As a native Michigander, few things bring me more weird joy and pride than a successful morel mushroom hunt. Fewer finer foods on the planet than buttered morels!
GOOD
You can’t pass on that bucket. Plus there are many uses for buckets including keeping it by your bedside after eating everything on those menus.
Haha, that mental image definitely did not sell me on it!
Great coverage! The food ALL looks amazing! Wish I was there! I’ll be eagerly waiting your thoughts on the Flower and Garden Festival when it is time. Any chance you think they may carry the Figment Popcorn Bucket into the next festival? My kids would love to get one! They love Figment too!
My guess is that Disney ordered a ridiculous number of these popcorn buckets–enough to last for a long time.
The bigger question is how many they already have on hand from the first shipment, and how sporadically they’ll arrive after that. I could see this selling out on day one and not being restocked until March. Or maybe I’m way off–they already have the full order, and they’ll be gone by the end of February and never return.
Really impossible to say given all of the supply chain issues. (Brand new Christmas merchandise continues to debut!)
