Disney Restaurant Reviews
Our Disney restaurant reviews offer food photos, menus, info & tips, and thoughts on 300+ counter and table service dining spots at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Tokyo, Paris, and beyond. We cover best & worst meals, value for money, and more to help you choose where to eat based upon theme, ambiance, cuisine & cost. (Updated July 30, 2023.)
Below you’ll find a regularly updated index with links to every Disney restaurant we’ve ever reviewed. It covers all of the most recent additions at Walt Disney World, including Toy Story Roundup Rodeo BBQ, Space 220 Restaurant, La Crêperie de Paris, Steakhouse 71, California Grill’s prix fixe menu, Connections Cafe & Eatery, and more.
Over a dozen new Disney restaurants have opened recently and more are on the way later this year or in 2024, including Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya, EET by Maneet Chahoun, Cake Bake Shop, Summer House on the Lake, Din Tai Fung, Porto’s Bakery & Cafe, and more. Throughout the rest of this year, we’ll continue to add new reviews of these restaurants and updates on other locations.
Essentially, this is a look at every Walt Disney World and Disneyland restaurant we’ve ever reviewed, plus Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disney Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and Aulani restaurants. Each review starts with a description of the restaurant, useful info, interior photos and thoughts on theme, followed by food photos and reviews of each item we tried. Each review concludes with out overall impressions, pros and cons of the restaurant, and whether we’d recommend it.
We have dined at hundreds of different Disney restaurants in the last few years–literally–more unique Disney restaurants than any other reviewers. That’s probably not something to boast about, but we’re proud, nonetheless. Moreover, we think this wide range of experience at Disney’s global parks, and not just Walt Disney World and Disneyland, gives us better perspective.
A couple things to note. First, we strongly value atmosphere and theme, and focus on these two characteristics pretty heavily in our reviews. To us, themed design is one advantage Disney has over real world restaurants. Most Disney restaurants will not measure up to real world counterparts in terms of cuisine or pricing. Thematically, they are second to none, though.
Moreover, these restaurants are graded on a curve relative to other dining in their respective parks. As compared to ‘real world’ restaurants, most options in the Disney parks are overpriced for the cuisine quality. However, you pay a premium for the location, convenience, and thematic attention to detail.
What we do not do is offer faint praise to every single item we eat, or every restaurant. There’s a lot of bad food in the Disney parks, and we will offer our genuine impressions of what is not worth your time or limited stomach space. You can find no shortage of sites that offer nothing but effusive praise and think all things Disney are amazing. This is not one of those sites.
Nevertheless, reasonable minds may differ with regard to the same restaurant. This is a big reason why we encourage readers to offer their feedback in reply to each review–and you’ll find a lot of good (and also unbiased) crowd-sourced info in the comments section.
With that said, click each restaurant name to read our full review of the restaurant. In them, you’ll find commentary about theme, atmosphere, and cuisine quality. Or you can just ‘vote with your eyes’ and browse through the food photos of different items that each restaurant serves.
Please note that we will be making return visits to many of these restaurants throughout this year and 2023, so check back throughout the year for updates to some of the older reviews–unlike Chef Mickey’s, we try to keep everything fresh!

That covers all of the restaurants we’ve reviewed thus far!
You probably noticed that this page includes links to only restaurant reviews. We have a wide variety of other dining resources, including where to eat to maximize your savings on the Disney Dining Plan, where the best cupcakes, steaks, etc. are found, and a myriad of “Top 10” dining lists. In many cases, these resources are more helpful than the reviews themselves. To find these resources for your destination, be sure to check out our Walt Disney World Restaurant Reviews & Resources or our Disneyland Resort Restaurant Reviews & Resources. Both of those pages include links to reviews, plus the other resources.
This is just a partial listing of the restaurants at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and beyond, at which we’ve dined thus far. We have a lot more reviews coming soon, especially from the non-US parks. Even if you don’t plan on ever visiting the international parks, we think it can be fun to see the unique Disney theming that each offer, as well as the sometimes unfamiliar (and sometimes very familiar!) cuisine, so make sure to read those reviews, too. Just be careful…you might find yourself wanting to visit those parks, too!
Check back often as we update this list with more favorites. We also recommend looking through and searching the menus of different Disney restaurants to see what might appeal to you, because there are a lot of choices.

Your Thoughts
What do you think of these restaurants? What restaurant is your favorite place to dine at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disney Resort, or Hong Kong Disneyland? Which Disney restaurants are on your bucket list? Do you agree or disagree with any of our reviews? Any questions we can help you answer? Hearing your feedback–even when you disagree with us–is both interesting to us and helpful to other readers, so please share your thoughts below in the comments!
Tom, in light of the virus, do you anticipate Disney implementing measures as some cruise lines have where the staff serves the buffet instead of guests doing it themselves?
What about blue bayou at Disneyland and ralph brennan at downtown disney?
When will you have reviews for Takumi Tei and Space 220 in Epcot? We are thinking about booking both for our August 2020 trip and the booking deadline is soon.
It’s been 4 years since our last WDW trip, so I’m trying to research newer restaurants to visit while we’re there in 2020. I love your reviews — just wish it was clear when you posted. I’ve checked out several review posts only to find that it was published in 2013, so the menu has almost certainly changed since then.
Hello Dianna, I am a regular Disney goer! I love Disney and most of the dining, is there a particular restaurant that you have your eyes on? I might be able to assist you on the menus and changes that have been made. I can tell you that Be Our Guest has changed a lot.
The pros and cons to the dining plan? We are not big eaters so I am really wondering if the plans are worth the extra expense
Help…
Hello Dawn! I am going at the end of August for 9 days. This year will be the first time I am actually using the dining plan. It took me awhile to figure out, but when I sat down and wrote the cost of some dining I do there, some of the quick services, and snacks the dining plan is worth it. They offer 3 different tiers. There is the quick service, the standard dining plan, and the deluxe dining plan ( I would def. skip this option if you are not a big eater at all). I am doing the standard dining plan. Can you figure out how much you might eat in the park and how many people? It would be a better way to figure out for you. Also the perk to them is they do work at the Startbucks too! This is great for coffee drinkers.
Have reservations for MK Breakfast 8:20 am last week of April 2020, we rent a car and only know of the parking lot at Tickets and Transportation. The express monorail is showing as 8:30 am start to the MK usually in late Spring. The Ferry is the same or later. How can we get to the MK Castle if we can’t ride the bus? We are not staying on site. I have called multiple times to WDW lines and am not getting any helpful hints. This is for 9am park opening unless things change.
Thank you for taking the time to write such detailed and honest restaurant reviews. It is very much appreciated. I especially like that you add the international component to it.
I would like to challenge your statement on “thematically, they are second to none…” Really? Have you ever tried the restaurants in the Universal Studios complex in Orlando? For example – Mythos vs Tiffins – how is Tiffins thematically superior? Or Satu’li Canteen vs The Three Broomsticks / Leaky Cauldron? If you do a 1-to-1 comparison on restaurant themes between Disney and Universal, I am not sure it is a clear cut answer.
We will be DW 13 – 22 December 2019, staying the All Star Music Resort – still to decide on eating plan – my budget is tight – would it be better to buy food outside the park – how far is the shopping market from the park
My daughter and I ate dinner at Boma in 2009, 2011 and have reservations for dinner this September when we will be there. We absolutely love this restaurant. The food is very good and the variety is very pleasing to us. My daughter is vegan and one of the chefs come out to show her everything she is able to eat on the buffet. We have had great service both times and hope to again!
When will you have reviews of the Gran Destino restaurants? They’re mentioned in your hotel review, but I don’t see them here.
Is Sanaa closed for lunch in February 2020? I can’t get any lunch reservations for the week of Feb 2nd. Is there a comparable second choice?
First of all let me tell you all, i am a food lover. Thats why i have interested in reading this blog post. I really like this post its one the best written post i have read in recent times.
Any word on free dinning for October 2019?
You dont seem to have Trattoria al Forno on the list.
Would you ever consider putting a date at the top of your reviews/articles so its easy to tell what is up to date and what is older?
I agree. It feels intentionally misleading to the reader in order to hide the staleness of certain content, and is the primary reason I don’t have this site in the top tier of my Dis tips rotation. In the case of restaurant reviews, it is particularly troublesome if the point is to provide relevant information.
I agree. I’m looking at restaurants and it would be helpful to see when they were written. I am searching for other blogs for this reason.
Love your Disney blog!
FYI- we were at Hollywood Studios this week and many (maybe all) of the quick service restaurants are now requiring reservations! They only allow walk-ins if there is space! We were shocked, but lucky to arrive at a midday time, so got in. What is the world coming to when fast-food requires a reservation?!?!?!
Hi there
We are going to Disney world for the first time ever in December this year and we are able to make Restaurant reservations in the next couple of weeks.
What would be your top restaurants to visit that will require reservations!?
There is just so much information on blogs, I’m a bit lost!
Thanks 🙂
How easy it is to find food options in for a child with multiple food allergies (gluten, dairy and egg)?
Hi, Lindsay!
I can honestly tell you that WDW was the best place ever for feeding anyone with food allergies/sensitivities. We were there in October 2017 with a group including our daughter and granddaughter (when she was 8 months old at the time). Our granddaughter was still nursing and had shown pretty significant sensitivities to dairy, eggs, nuts and sesame that came through the breast milk. Many of those were my daughter’s go-to proteins, so eating had been a pretty boring and challenging adventure for her. Oh, and I avoid gluten, so there’s that, too. That’s the backstory.
EVERY place we ate at WDW was the highlight of the trip for our daughter! At each table service restaurant, the server wrote down the list of ingredients to avoid, then most times the chef came out and helped my daughter order from the menu, pointed her to safe things if it was a buffet and/or made her special and delicious items that would conform to the restrictions. It was the best food she had eaten in months! My daughter almost cried 🙂 I can’t over-emote about how wonderful and helpful the staff were at every turn. I don’t remember exactly about the quick-service places we ate in the parks, but my recollection is that they too were very attentive and helpful in selecting tasty and appropriate menu items.
Good luck on your trip. I think you will have no trouble finding wonderful and safe foods that meet your daughter’s allergy restrictions.
How easy it is to find food options for a child with multiple food allergies (gluten, dairy and egg)?
I am certain that I am missing something obvious, but why is Blue Bayou in Disneyland Park always missing from these lists?
