Disneyland’s Disney Clothiers Photo
For whatever reason, I really like the appearance of Disney Clothiers on Main Street, USA in Disneyland. In fact, I generally think Disneyland’s Main Street, USA is prettier than that of the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. I do prefer the Castle at the end of the Magic Kingdom’s, but otherwise, Disneyland’s wins for me. Which do you prefer?

I think the paving stones have something to do with that awesome photo of Disney Clothiers. Since the mid 90’s Disneyland has been systematically replacing the old painted blacktop with pavers. When I take my yearly visits to WDW one of the first thing I notice in the Magic Kingdom is the lack of paving stones. Most of the park is still blacktop. If you compare your Disneyland photos to the Magic Kingdom you will notice the difference, especially at night. The texture adds additional depth to the photos. What do you think?
I prefer Didneyland’s if nothing else, for the firestation/walt’s apartment. However, I really like the narrower streets. More intimate and theme appropriate. I have reservations picking one over the other though since my little boy had his first haircut in the WDW version.
I agree with you about Disneyland’s Main Street. I think it’s prettier than Walt Disney World’s. I also think that some of its offerings, like the Main Street Cinema and Carnation Café, make it functionally better. I don’t know that I agree about Cinderella Castle over Sleeping Beauty Castle. Cinderella Castle has a magnificent presence, but I love Sleeping Beauty Castle for its charm.
Carnation Cafe is so awesome. Cannot wait to eat there again!
Hmmm, not sure about Disneyland’s Main Street being prettier than Magic Kingdom’s, but it’s definitely got a quaintness and charm about it… I actually came over here to see if you’d written a response to the news about the new Hollywood Studios Darth Vader cupcake, as I know you’re big cupcake fans. I suppose I’ll check back later lol.
Darth Vader cupcake? Did you post it here or did I miss it elsewhere? Could you share a link?
