There’s a new free event at Walt Disney World for Gold, Platinum, Platinum Plus, and Premier Annual Passholders! During V.I.Passholder Nights, select attractions, restaurants, and shops at Magic Kingdom or Epcot for open an extra 2 to 3 hours after park closing.
V.I.Passholder Nights return again for 2019 after being quite popular last year. The new dates are April 28, 2019 from 11:00 p.m. until 1 a.m. at Magic Kingdom; plus May 18, 2019 and June 3, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park.
Gold, Platinum, Platinum Plus and Premier Passholders can pre-register by making an online reservation for one of these nights. Event capacity is limited. The number of reservations for this event is limited and subject to availability. There is no additional charge for this event. Valid annual pass and photo ID required at check-in.
Eligible Annual Passholders should have received an email, but any Walt Disney World AP knows these emails are incredibly hit or miss (only one of us received ours), so you can register here if you’re eligible. With only 3 nights of the parties, we’re expecting them to fill up quickly.
After a 2-minute wait in the virtual queue, I was able to complete registration for both Sarah and me. Other friends (in My Disney Experience) who are eligible for the events were presented as options during the registration process, which was nice. (But also could’ve been an issue if I was quickly clicking through and not paying attention, as they were auto-selected!)
As we noted in our Walt Disney World News & Rumor Round-up today, we’re expecting these events to be a somewhere between evening Extra Magic Hours and Disney Vacation Club Moonlight Magic events in terms of quality and “specialness.”
In other words, you can expect there to be special photo ops and maybe a few rare characters, but probably not free food, exclusive fireworks, or ultra-low crowds. These V.I.Passholder Nights are a nice perk for those already in town, but nothing around which we’d plan a trip to Florida.

How can I do this registration?
Can’t wait for the next free event for annual passholder. Had a great time in April
Thank you again for this! We never get the emails. Now I know I can use your links to find them!
Is this the only date it’s happening this year?
I registered but don’t have an email confirming. How do I confirm that I am registered?
Amazing never get emails
How many people are allowed to register for an event (crowd size)? Any special things going on? Any special food or items? Transportation still working? What rides at Magic Kingdom will be open?
Thank you for this. I manage 6 Platinum passes and we got 0 emails about this, but thanks to your link I was able to get in MK for Feb!
I got an email today for 2 V.I.Passholder events coming up in February and March. I went ahead and registered for the one in February because we already have a vacation planned that week. I was curious if you ended up going to one of these events already and what we might expect. As first time annual pass holders we are really excited to get to take advantage of this perk, but want to make sure it’s worth it since we will be skipping out on Epcot Extra Magic Hours that night.
VIP pass holder free two extra hours registration.
I never recieved an email I had to sign up with link. I never get emails period
My husband received the email but I did not ( we are both AP)
Same day when we tried to register it was full already
