Disney Parks Scenes: Spring in Bloom!
Spring is one of our favorite times of year at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Tokyo Disney Resort–and so on. From the temperate weather to the vibrant flowers to (occasional) lulls in the crowds–so long as you avoid Spring Break and the Easter holiday–it’s a great time for a trip.
Unfortunately, outside of Epcot’s Flower & Garden Festival, spring is not exactly a season that is highly touted in the Disney Parks. A bit is done for Easter and a couple international parks have minor events, but this time of year doesn’t really receive the fanfare of Halloween or Christmas.
Because of this, we thought it’d be the perfect time to return with another installment of our “Scenes from the Disney Parks” photo posts with some spring photos to ‘raise awareness’ for this lovely time of year in the parks. Plus, we’ve spent the last week running around Kyoto for Japan’s beautiful cherry blossom season (check out my sakura photos from the temples and other places in Japan we’ve visited the last few days!) and between that and Easter, we’re really in the spring mood!
You can click on each spring photo below to view it larger (and with higher resolution) in my SmugMug gallery and to see the camera settings I used.
The photos in this post were all captured at different times, so the camera I used will differ for each one. Most will have been shot with my Nikon D750 DSLR, though. You can read about which cameras and lenses I am currently using in my new What’s In My Camera Bag? (2020 Edition) post.
That’s it–like we said, just a quick and fun post to “raise awareness” for spring in the Disney Parks. Although we’re not sure how much awareness an entire season really needs, we do think it’s good to acknowledge the beauty of other times of the year at the parks, outside of the big seasons.
We’re heading to Tokyo Disneyland soon, and if we manage to catch the tail end of sakura season there, we’ll share more cherry blossom photos from there. Be sure to follow along on Instagram (@tom_bricker and @sarahbricker) where we’ve been posting daily stories about our adventures!

Your Thoughts
What do you think of spring in the Disney Parks? Is it one of your favorite times of year to visit, or do you overlook it since there are no major special events aside from Flower & Garden Festival? Have a favorite Disney Park during the spring? Any photo-related questions? Beautiful pictures! Spring is my favorite time to go to WDW. Many of my friends like going in the fall better to get free dining but I’ll take the spring break crowds any day over the fall. The parks are just beautiful in full bloom and the Flower and Garden Festival is such a treat! Plus the weather is perfect in the spring.
Just read an article online that Disney has plans to build a park in Toronto, Canada and that it will be designed with the weather in mind, for example an all indoor dwarf mine train!
If that came to fruition that would be awesome! I know us Canadians would very extremely excited.
Ahhh, its April 1st, probably not legit ! Most likely a fake article, was at dailyhive.com
April Fools Day
I’m so gullible! And now so sad! Cruel joke.
☹ No Canadian Disney park.
Oh well….Happy Easter
Well darn. Guess I’ll just have to visit the parks in Florida and California. Either way I’m very excited for my next trip 😀
Through nice climates int he US and the hard work of groundskeeping staff, one of the nice things about Disney parks is that the landscaping is beautiful all year.
I do really enjoy early spring at WDW, however. When it’s still cold with occasional snow in the midwest, it’s really nice to have warm temperatures and blooming flowers.
Great pictures– can you add captions for where each one was taken? I can tell for some, but not for all.
If you hover over each photo and read the link text it should tell you which park it is 😀
Ahh, those are ridiculously beautiful! Thank you so much for posting those. Getting ready to head to Disney World in a week and half and those pics help further my excitement for the trip!
Stunning photos as always Tom.
Before I started school our yearly trip to Disneyland was in Spring and I always loved it. It’s been over 30 years since I’ve seen the park in that season and you took me right back. Thank you!
We’re just heading to DianeyWorld in another month or so! Living in Canada, spring really hasn’t hit just yet so I’ll be very excited for some beautiful weather!
We’ve just finished up three days at Disneyland Resort as part of our first ever visit to Southern California. I cannot get over how absolutely beautiful Disneyland Park is. We’re Walt Disney World fans and have made several trips there over the past few years, but, Wow! There’s just something about Disneyland that I love. Can’t wait to return.
Breathtaking pictures Tom. Looking forward to more!!
