Epcot Sunshine Griddle Menu & Food Review: 2022 Flower & Garden Festival
Epcot Sunshine Griddle is an Outdoor Kitchen at the 2022 Epcot Flower & Garden Festival near Test Track. In this Walt Disney World dining review, we’ll look at the menu prices, share food photos, thoughts on what’s worth your money & what to skip, and how to find this exceptional booth.
With the festival getting longer in the last couple years, the number of food booths has proliferated, bringing many new festival favorites to the event. However, it’s been 5 years since we’ve seen any new kiosk that has been this much of a home run. That’s when Flavors from Fire debuted at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, bringing with it a stacked menu from top to bottom. That booth has remained a perennial favorite since, with menu changes that have kept things fresh but familiar. It’s also just a flat-out fun spot.
It would be premature–and hyperbolic–to say one of the Outdoor Kitchens at this year’s EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival has surpassed or is even on par with Flavors from Fire. So we’ll just say that this is the best new food booth since that debuted, with dishes that are destined to be instant Walt Disney World fan favorites of the spring and summer festival…
For those of you who don’t carry a compass with you to Walt Disney World, the Epcot Sunshine Griddle food booth is adjacent to Cool Wash and the EPCOT Experience. If you take a hard right at the Test Track sign, you’ll pass it. (I didn’t realize until writing this review that this Outdoor Kitchen is a bit tricky to find–I’ll replace the top photo with a more useful one later today.)
This little cube has been the Donut Box during the last couple of EPCOT Food & Wine Festivals, and I think it had another name at some point, but I don’t recall. Whatever the case, the EPCOT Sunshine Griddle is far and away the best incarnation of this location.
The menu encourages guests to “get ready to brunch it up with savory and sweet treats at this innovative location that thinks outside the box.” In this Walt Disney World dining review, we’ll look at the menu prices, share food photos, and offer thoughts on what is worth your money and what to skip.
We’ll start with a rundown of the EPCOT Sunshine Griddle Outdoor Kitchen food menu:

- Corned Beef Brisket Hash with House-Made Potato Barrels, Onions, Peppers, Cheese Curds and a Soft-Poached Egg with Tabasco® Hollandaise

Avocado Toast with Marinated Toybox Tomatoes & Fresh Goat Cheese on Toasted Ciabatta ($5.75) – After eating her half of this, Sarah proclaimed that it was better than the avocado toast she had a couple weeks ago at the Boathouse’s brunch. (Our favorite table service restaurant at Disney Springs.)
It’s not an apples to apples comparison, but she’s right. The avocado was delicious and generously applied, further enhanced by the tomato halves. This all was fresh and delicious, with the goat cheese providing a savory, earthy flavor. The toasted ciabatta bread gave a nice crisp texture, and held up well under the substantial toppings. Highly recommended.
Shrimp and Grits: Blackened Shrimp and Cheddar Cheese Grits with Brown Gravy and Sweet Corn Salsa ($7.25) – This dish falls about halfway between the healthy and indulgent ends of the spectrum, and is also fantastic. The shrimp were delicious, plump and perfectly-prepared. The sweet corn salsa is refreshing and offers a mild kick, which is offset nicely by the comforting flavors of buttery cheddar cheese grits.
This is Floridian comfort food done to perfection, and is another dish we highly recommend–even despite that price. For those keeping score at home, this is now the second shrimp dish of the event we’ve endorsed, which is fairly rare.
Corned Beef Brisket Hash with House-Made Potato Barrels, Onions, Peppers, Cheese Curds and a Soft-Poached Egg with Tabasco Hollandaise ($6.25) – This is like the brunch version of something that would be served at Flavors from Fire. Everything about it was exceptional, with the flavors melding together fantastically and the hollandaise providing a light punch.
It’s pretty much exactly what you’d expect from this gloriously decadent mess of ingredients, with one notable exception. Rather than the potato barrels being something cheap or low quality like you might find in the Totchos at Woody’s Lunch Box, they’re more akin (texture-wise, at least) to the yuca in a similar dish at Spyglass Grill. Crisp, hearty, and delicious. We both agreed that this was the savory highlight among highlights at EPCOT Sunshine Griddle. Highly, highly recommended!
Fried Cinnamon Roll Bites with Cream Cheese Frosting and Candied Bacon ($4.25) – The best dessert we’ve had (so far) at the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival is these Fried Cinnamon Roll Bites. From the moment we saw this on the menu, we were cautiously optimistic.
Our enthusiasm was only tempered by the possibility that these would be overly dense and mass-prepared. That was not even remotely the case. The rolls were light and airy, with the pastry being flaky on the outside but soft and gooey on the inside. That was aided, no doubt, by the cinnamon cream cheese cores. The candied bacon is the proverbial icing on top of these masterpieces–and there’s also literal icing on top, too. Another top tier item that gets our utmost endorsement.
Froot Loops Shake ($4.50) – Finally, an item from the drink menu. Unlike everything else, which the two of us unanimously loved, this dessert drink was polarizing. One of us loved it, the other thought it was a nasty mix of artificial flavors.
Not naming names, but I’ll add that same person said it “sounded gross” just when looking at the menu. I mean, she’s not wrong, but also…that sounds pretty great to me! 😉 I will concede that, unlike the other inventive twists on brunch favorites, this is solely a guilty pleasure. With that said, the flavors are a dead-ringer for Froot Loops and that in milkshake form works really well. You’ll know based solely on the name and photo above whether this is or is not for you.
Overall, the EPCOT Sunshine Griddle is the must-do Outdoor Kitchen of this year’s EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, with a stacked menu from top to bottom. It’s not just the best new booth at any festival in five years, it’s the best overall Outdoor Kitchen. So good that we’ll soon be modifying our 1-Day EPCOT Itinerary to include this as a late morning stop where you should order one of everything.
Beyond that, the EPCOT Sunshine Griddle is a pretty formidable Walt Disney World brunch option that holds up surprisingly well as compared to table service restaurants. Again, not an apples to apples comparison, but our “meal” at EPCOT Sunshine Griddle was better than our brunch at the Boathouse and we spent significantly less on this ($28.00 for everything pictured above). The only real downside is the booth’s location, which is nowhere near any live entertainment or noteworthy floral displays–it’s behind the Innoventions construction/demolition. But that can pretty easily be remedied by taking a short stroll over to the over-the-water walkways near the EPCOT Experience.

Thank you for letting us know where we can get this! I’m not sure how many food blogs discuss food.
Is the Sunshine Grill on the mobile quick service dining?
Thanks for telling us where this is! I don’t know how many food blogs talk about the food, get me salivating and then fail to mention where I can get my dirty little mitts on that this delicious grub! This one is on my list! Two more weeks! WooHOO!
Hello! We were at EPCOT Sunshine Griddle this week and here is what we thought……
Avocado Toast – yummy, fresh and generous by WDW fest standards.
Shrimp and Grits – yummy, flavorful and – dare I say it – a hint of spice!
Corned Beef – the sum of the parts is greater than each individually. We found the hash to be overly salty (a frequent fest issue) but the egg, cheese, and hollandaise balanced the salt out making a composed bite tasty.
Cinnamon Rolls – a delightful surprise! Most desserts are just too sweet, this was not. Particularly good with a cup of coffee.
We didn’t try the fruit loop shake – sounded way to sweet and icky.
Are they the same shrimp and grits that the Florida Fresh booth had last year or the year before? If I remember, the portion was actually on par with the price.
Everything looks great! Cannot wait to try! Where is the booth located and how were the lines? Is there a time we should visit?
This one is close to Test Track.
We visited many festival booths today and this was the only one where we ordered every food item. The corned beef brisket hash and shrimp & grits were both great, but if I had to choose I would say the hash had more depth of flavor. The cinnamon roll bites were perfect; light and flaky pastry with a slight crunch from the cinnamon/sugar. The only miss for us was the Froot loop shake. The kids did not love it, unfortunately. They would eat Froot Loops every morning if allowed, but their review was “it tastes weird.” 😉
That’s a surprise twist ending to your booth review, but thanks for sharing!
We agree with your review of the Avocado Toast. We had it today as well as the 5 items on the Garden Graze list. It was our top choice of the day.
Shrimp and grits look good plus the cinnamon roll bites also look good. But that soft poached egg looks way undercooked. Poached egg should have a runny yolk, but not a runny white.
This year, I’ve had two visits to Food and Wine, one for Holiday Festival, and one for the Arts Festival. I need only a teeny bit of encouragement to put a Flower and Garden visit on my calendar. This might be it.
Last trip to WDW was June 2019, I remember that this booth served a blueberry cronut. It was AMAZING! had fingers crossed that it would be there during our trip this year but I guess not. These offerings also look really good.
You realize Fruit Loops are actually all the same flavor right?
It was a hard day when I learned this.
Wow, this is the first report about food that has made me want to return to WDW. My family would order at least one of every item on that menu, and probably two of the shrimp and grits and three of the cinnamon bites.
That structure was Toast Track, and they did really great grilled cheese. There was a brie and apple one with a mustard dipping sauce that was to die for.
I have my second vaccination in 10 days and as soon as it’s safe, I’m going to go eat all those things!
