BRUNCHCOT is an Outdoor Kitchen at the 2023 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival near Test Track. In this Walt Disney World dining review, we’ll look at the menu prices, share food photos, thoughts on what’s worth your money & what to skip, and how to find this exceptional booth.
With the festival getting longer in the last couple years, the number of food booths has proliferated, bringing many new festival favorites to the event. However, it’s been 5 years since we’ve seen any new kiosk that has been this much of a home run. That’s when Flavors from Fire debuted at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, bringing with it a stacked menu from top to bottom. That booth has remained a perennial favorite since, with menu changes that have kept things fresh but familiar. It’s also just a flat-out fun spot.
Now a few years old, it’s finally fair to say that the BRUNCHCOT Booth at the 2023 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival isn’t just on par with Flavors from Fire–BRUNCHCOT has surpassed it. These dishes are destined Walt Disney World fan favorites of the spring and summer festival, and this is the best Outdoor Kitchen of the event…
For those of you who don’t carry a compass with you to Walt Disney World, the BRUNCHCOT Booth is adjacent to Refreshment Station or Cool Wash and the Citrus Blossom Booth at the Odyssey. If you take a hard right at the Test Track sign, you’ll pass it. (I didn’t realize until writing this review that this Outdoor Kitchen is a bit tricky to find–I’ll replace the top photo with a more useful one later today.)
This little cube has been the Fry Basket during EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, and I think it had another name at some point, but I don’t recall. Whatever the case, EPCOT’s BRUNCHCOT Booth is far and away the best incarnation of this location.
Prior to the 2023 Flower & Garden Festival, the location was known as EPCOT Sunshine Griddle. Honestly, I don’t know which name is better. EPCOT Sunshine Griddle had some old school vibes, but was also a fairly straightforward name. BRUNCHCOT is clear, concise, ALL CAPS, and embraces EPCOT’s time-honored tradition of puns. So I guess I’ll give it the edge.
The 2023 menu at EPCOT’s BRUNCHCOT Booth encourages guests to “get ready to brunch it up with savory and sweet treats at this innovative location that thinks outside the box.” In this Walt Disney World dining review, we’ll look at the menu prices, share food photos, and offer thoughts on what is worth your money and what to skip.
We’ll start with a rundown of the EPCOT Sunshine Griddle Outdoor Kitchen food menu:
- Avocado Toast with marinated toybox tomatoes on toasted ciabatta (Plant-based) (Garden Graze)
- Shrimp and Grits: Blackened shrimp and cheddar cheese grits with brown gravy and sweet corn salsa
- Lox Benedict on Everything Focaccia with everything-spiced cream cheese, shallots, crispy capers, and hollandaise (New)
- Fried Cinnamon Roll Bites with cream cheese frosting and candied bacon
…and the BRUNCHCOT Outdoor Kitchen beverage menu:
- Froot Loops Shake (Non-alcoholic)
- Peach Bellini (New)
- Joffrey’s Coffee Cold Brew Cocktail with milk, Kahlúa Rum and Coffee Liqueur, and vanilla vodka

Avocado Toast with Marinated Toybox Tomatoes on Toasted Ciabatta ($6.00) – After eating her half of this, Sarah proclaimed that it was better than the avocado toast she had a couple weeks ago at the Boathouse’s brunch. (Our favorite table service restaurant at Disney Springs.)
It’s not an apples to apples comparison, but she’s right. The avocado was delicious and generously applied, further enhanced by the tomato halves. This all was fresh and delicious, with a savory, earthy flavor. The toasted ciabatta bread gave a nice crisp texture, and held up well under the substantial toppings. Highly recommended.
Shrimp and Grits: Blackened Shrimp and Cheddar Cheese Grits with Brown Gravy and Sweet Corn Salsa ($7.25) – This dish falls about halfway between the healthy and indulgent ends of the spectrum, and is also fantastic. The shrimp were delicious, plump and perfectly-prepared. The sweet corn salsa is refreshing and offers a mild kick, which is offset nicely by the comforting flavors of buttery cheddar cheese grits.
This is Floridian comfort food done to perfection, and is another dish we highly recommend–even despite that price. For those keeping score at home, this is now the second shrimp dish of the event we’ve endorsed, which is fairly rare.
Lox Benedict on Everything Focaccia ($7.50) – Aside from the new name, the big change for this booth at the 2023 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival is the addition of the Lox Benedict on Everything Focaccia, which replaces the Corned Beef Brisket Hash. Both dishes feature poached eggs, but are otherwise very different…and equally excellent.
The Lox Benedict comes with everything-spiced cream cheese, shallots, crispy capers, and hollandaise. Of the two dishes, this is the more inventive and envelope pushing, whereas the Corned Beef Brisket Hash was more comforting and crowd-pleasing. On balance, I’d say that the Lox Benedict is a net positive, as it makes the full menu (which you should absolutely order) more well-rounded and not quite as heavy. After all, this is brunch and not breakfast. That’s right, the best booth at any EPCOT festival got even better for 2023!
Fried Cinnamon Roll Bites with Cream Cheese Frosting and Candied Bacon ($4.75) – The best dessert we’ve had (so far) at the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival is these Fried Cinnamon Roll Bites. From the moment we saw this on the menu, we were cautiously optimistic.
Our enthusiasm was only tempered by the possibility that these would be overly dense and mass-prepared. That was not even remotely the case. The rolls were light and airy, with the pastry being flaky on the outside but soft and gooey on the inside. That was aided, no doubt, by the cinnamon cream cheese cores. The candied bacon is the proverbial icing on top of these masterpieces–and there’s also literal icing on top, too. Another top tier item that gets our utmost endorsement.
Froot Loops Shake ($4.75) – Finally, an item from the drink menu. Unlike everything else, which the two of us unanimously loved, this dessert drink was polarizing. One of us loved it, the other thought it was a nasty mix of artificial flavors.
Not naming names, but I’ll add that same person said it “sounded gross” just when looking at the menu. I mean, she’s not wrong, but also…that sounds pretty great to me! 😉 I will concede that, unlike the other inventive twists on brunch favorites, this is solely a guilty pleasure. With that said, the flavors are a dead-ringer for Froot Loops and that in milkshake form works really well. You’ll know based solely on the name and photo above whether this is or is not for you.
Overall, the BRUNCHCOT Booth is the must-do Outdoor Kitchen of this year’s EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, with a stacked menu from top to bottom. It’s not just the best new booth at any festival in five years, it’s the best overall Outdoor Kitchen. So good that we’ll soon be modifying our 1-Day EPCOT Itinerary to include this as a late morning stop where you should order one of everything.
Beyond that, EPCOT’s BRUNCHCOT Booth is a pretty formidable Walt Disney World brunch option that holds up surprisingly well as compared to table service restaurants. Again, not an apples to apples comparison, but our “meal” at EPCOT’s BRUNCHCOT Booth was better than our brunch at the Boathouse and we spent significantly less on this ($28.00 for everything pictured above). The only real downside is the booth’s location, which is nowhere near any live entertainment or noteworthy floral displays–it’s behind the Innoventions construction/demolition. But that can pretty easily be remedied by taking a short stroll over to the over-the-water walkways near the EPCOT Experience.
