Welcome!

For some time now, Sarah and I have been contemplating starting our own blog chronicling our exploits at Walt Disney World and Disneyland. To date, we have written countless pages of trip reports, reviews of restaurants, and thoughts on resorts. However, we mostly expressed our sentiments in online forums, with no centralized location for all of our thoughts. Given this, and the transient state of the internet, we began considering our own website where we could preserve and share our thoughts and experiences.

With that idea in mind, we began looking into website options. Since my experience in web-design is minimal, I contacted Adam Hansen of the wonderful WDWPhotography.com for assistance. He customized the current design you see here, and I made some minor adjustments to produce what you see today. If you ever need any web design work done, I highly recommend contacting Adam. Sarah’s and my goal over the coming months is to slowly migrate all of our past dining reviews, resort profiles, and trip reports over to DisneyTouristBlog.com. (You may notice that many of these posts are written in present tense despite discussing events from 2007, 2008, 2009, or 2010; bear in mind that all posts were written roughly at the the time of the events they discuss, not present-day.) At today’s launch, a few such reviews and reports have already been migrated. Subscribe to our RSS or check back often as we continue these updates.

As those of you who have followed our travels may know, we place a premium on high-quality photos, and engaging & entertaining narratives describing our experiences. In that vein, we decided to start DisneyTouristBlog.com. While this will be neither a site concerning photography in the Disney Parks nor will it be a Op-Ed Blog, we believe it will be different from the myriad of other Disney sites out there offering travel advice, as we will interject our wit, unique writing style, and quality photography to supplement our objective-as-possible takes on our experiences.

We hope the above does not sound self-important or lofty, as that is not the intent. We’re happy to refer to ourselves as “tourists”–a term that has become somewhat pejorative amongst the Disney fan community–because touring the Disney theme parks and resorts is exactly what we love to do. Our goal, above all else, is to present a fun website that can provide information and entertainment to like-minded Disney fans and tourists similar to ourselves.

With that said, we welcome all who come to this happy place – DisneyTouristBlog.com!

-Thanks for visiting,

Sarah & Tom Bricker
