Have a question about planning a trip to Disney or something you’ve read here? Hopefully this blog can help! We’ve visited every Disney resort around the world, from Walt Disney World to Tokyo Disneyland, have stayed in nearly every Disney-owned hotel in the world, and have dined at the majority of Disney restaurants.
Presumably, most of you coming to this site are here for Walt Disney World or Disneyland trip planning advice. Common questions you have can probably be answered by posts we already have written that pertain to these topics and contain links to most critical vacation planning info.
If you’re trying to plan a Walt Disney World trip, visit our Walt Disney World Trip Planning Guide. If planning a Disneyland trip, check out our Disneyland Trip Planning Guide. If you look on the right-hand sidebar, you’ll also find links to other key planning-related posts. You can subscribe to our FREE email newsletter here.
If you have a media request, advertising, or marketing inquiry, please contact [email protected].
Sorry, but we do not respond to emails pertaining to planning. If you have questions pertaining to trip planning or other topics, leave your question in a relevant post or contact your travel agent. Unfortunately, we cannot respond to emails soliciting advice regarding Disney. Please understand that doing so would take several hours per day, consuming too much time better spent writing blog posts and planning resources for all.
If you need comprehensive or personalized trip planning advice and help booking your trip, we recommend contacting an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner (Disneyspeak for a travel agent). Try our sponsor, Be Our Guest Vacations.
We are just passionate Disney fans writing a blog about our experiences with advice based on those experiences. We are not affiliated with The Walt Disney Company nor is this an official Disney blog, so if you have questions or complaints about a booking with Disney or anything of that sort, you’ll want to contact Disney Guest Services for that.
Thanks,
Tom Bricker
You mention there is no more Luggage Service with the Mears Connect,,,, How do our bags get from the airport to WDW and or back to airport? I remember a trip many years ago to WDW we rented a car at the airport, leaving Disney they nicely took our bags on the bus and they got to the plane just fine without us.
Wondering why you don’t date your blog entries? It would be infinitely more helpful to know when the information is from. Thanks so much!
Tom,
Just wondering how quickly the new Poly Tower construction is likely to start. Do you recall how quickly land clearing/construction started on REflections after it was announced?
Keep up the fantastic work, you are the best Disney blog out there!
Just wondering…could I do the 120 minute stack if I stayed at the hotel until later in the morning? For example, I get my 7AM, park opens at 9, I get another one then because it’s been 120 minutes…then get one when I arrive at 11? Just trying to see if I could schedule an afternoon/night day to sleep in but still have some fastpasses lined up….
Hi Tom!
Love reading you. Have been for years. Only suggestion would be to date your blogs! It would make a big difference to know when you actually wrote and updated the information!

Hi Tom, I noticed a couple of weeks ago that the sans serif font used on the site changed to a generic serif font. Not sure if this was intentional or not, but I strongly prefer the previous font; it was much more legible.
Hello! Not sure if my previous email went through but we are looking to advertise or be listed on your website please. We are a hospitality company.
I haven’t seen this question answered in any of the FAQs, so here goes.
IF I have 3 family members that will want to ride all the rides, and 3 that only want to ride the slow easy ones, would it make sense to just by genie plus for those 3?
Also, how is this done, if I’m controlling all the passes on my disney experience app? Can I just select the 3 that want to ride it all when I buy the Genie plus?
It seems like this would be a good strategy as the 3 that don’t want to ride everything will spend less time waiting on us?
Thanks

Hi Tom! I love spending my early Saturday mornings reading your blog updates and appreciate your style of writing – fluid and friendly. My email subscription keeps me in the loop and I love letting my updates ‘ pile up’ during the week so I can indulge with my feet up and coffee in hand. That being said, one thing I’m wondering about is how I can determine publishing dates? I may be missing a simple click that displays blog publishing dates or ‘current as of” posts somewhere, but I can’t seem to find them. I would love to be able to filter search results for blog entries and information based on ‘most recent’ or have the date of publishing posted at the top of the article. At times, when I’ve read blog entries, I’ve wondered when they were published to determine relevancy today.
Any help on this front would be greatly appreciated!
Warm regards.
Hi Tom! First let me say what a fabulous job you’ve done here. We happened on your site when researching for what may be our once in a lifetime WDW trip, it’s turned into a lifeline. We have contacted Be Our Guest Vacations now that we were feeling informed. Originally we were looking at the 1st week of January 2023. The adult children and 4 yr old grandchild’s schedule have moved us to 12/22 to 12/28 at WDW and we decided to split the stay with Universal 12/28 to 1/1. Based on your suggestions we are looking at the Crescent/Bay Lake area for WDW. As Bonvoy Members we are attracted to the the regular Swan and have a suite quote that is amazing with my senior discount. We also have a quote from the agent on the only suite she could find at the moment in Bay Lake Tower (frankly not impressed with the comparison.) She says there isn’t anything else available and we were trying to avoid the price hikes you warned us all about. We looked at the DVR site and she said she can’t do those and is trying to talk us out of those as well. We are doing a ‘park a day’ but 2 days at Magic Kingdom, The agent is working up a quote for tickets around the Swan, but has been constantly trying to talk us out of it and telling us we would be missing all her best help. By contrast for Universal we have quotes for the NYE Weekend at Hard Rock, Portifino and Sapphire with 4 day express plus tickets. This was so much easier (except for picking the final resort by 2/11/22 – help) Would you be able to give us your option on these options? We thought we had it right, and are no longer sure. Then sticker shock… Thank you
Tom, thank you so much for your valuable tips! I love the enthusiasm both you and your wife have for all things Disney. I used your site A LOT to plan a trip for my 65th and sister’s 70th birthdays. (I hoped to recreate that photo of us at the entrance to Disneyland in 1960.) That trip fell through, a family separate family emergency came into play, and I ended up at Disneyland in early January by myself. I used your strategies, the app, and made as much as I could of my 4-day park hopper pass. I grew up in SoCal; Disneyland was a huge part of my childhood, high school grad night and even my honeymoon. But it was clear to me I’m no longer part of the Disney target audience. I hated how much I had to work the system with my nose in my phone all day to have any chance of riding the “E” ticket rides. Lots of breakdowns. Way too crowded and calculated. I paid the $20 extra for Rise of the Resistance to avoid standing in line for 2 hours. I get it. They want every single penny they can get from us. I walked each inch of Disneyland and California Adventure and just soaked it all up. Probably only rode a half dozen rides in 4 days. But I sat on a bench and treasured the sights. I enjoyed a Matterhorn Macaroon. I looked at every detail in New Orleans Square and Radiator Springs and Main Street. It was my farewell tour. I’m grateful I could do it, although it made me sad and happy all at the same time. Keep up the great work helping new generations navigate the brave new world of Disney.
Hi – I’m a new resident to FL and I just purchased the Pixie Dust annual pass. I’m looking forward to upgrading it to a pass that allows visits on the weekends. Do you know when they will reopen sales for the rest of the pass types?
I appreciate your help 🙂
Many things have changed with the parks and perks and for someone like ourselves it is very apparent. I preach all the time it is a bad business model to make cut backs to save money but instead make improvements to cover cost. This is the difference between someone who knows business and doesn’t! When a business starts the question is “What can we offer to make money” when a business fails it’s always “What can we cut back on”. This is a LOOSER MENTALITY!!!! Disney needs to purge it’s leaders and bring in talent with the imagination to bring the magic!!! On top of all that as far as Covid is concerned you have to do whatever for customers and if it is making them feel safe by telling them to put there mask on and not pushing them all up into a crowd on the ride lines THEN DO IT!!!!!! We the smart people know numbers go down when mask are on and we also know just because your outside when your in a crowd the spread is there!! Disney is lacking on giving a [email protected]# about the guest! This lack of concern is seen in the lack of cleaning, the fewer employees telling people to put mask on and no mask anymore just because your outside. I also caught Covid at Disney and I know why!!!!
First of all, I love your Blog! Until Covid, we’ve gone to Disney World at least once a year (always staying on-site) for the last 25 years, and I still learn a lot from you!
One question I’m having trouble getting answered is about theme park parking, if you’re staying at one of the Disney Springs hotels that are labeled as being an “Official Disney World Hotel”. We’re considering it for our next trip, but I can’t find out anywhere if those hotels qualify for free theme park parking, as the official Disney resorts do. Any idea?
Thanks,
Heather

Just want to take a moment to thank you for the amazing amount of time and work you and Sarah put into all of this. We are visiting Disney World for the first (and possibly only) time in March 2022. I’m a very savvy Disneyland visitor (my brother is in the band there, so we visit A LOT), but DW was overwhelming when I started planning. I like to know as much as possible about everything that will help us get the most out of our park and dining time, and your pieces have been just the ticket. And I feel much better about Genie+ since you have recently been equating it to MaxPass – a system I have down like you wouldn’t believe. Sad it’s going away.
Anyway, just know that I am truly grateful for all of your advice, your sense of humor and your easy-to-understand directions with screenshots. I’m so excited and feel so much better about everything. YOU have truly given me a magical start to our visit.
Tom … Your posts do not appear to be dated. Is there a way to know when the post occurred? Many thank.
