Have a question about planning a trip to Disney or something you’ve read here? Hopefully this blog can help! We’ve visited every Disney resort around the world, from Walt Disney World to Tokyo Disneyland, have stayed in nearly every Disney-owned hotel in the world, and have dined at the majority of Disney restaurants.
Presumably, most of you coming to this site are here for Walt Disney World or Disneyland trip planning advice. Common questions you have can probably be answered by posts we already have written that pertain to these topics and contain links to most critical vacation planning info.
If you’re trying to plan a Walt Disney World trip, visit our Walt Disney World Trip Planning Guide. If planning a Disneyland trip, check out our Disneyland Trip Planning Guide. If you look on the right-hand sidebar, you’ll also find links to other key planning-related posts. You can subscribe to our FREE email newsletter here.
If you have a media request, advertising, or marketing inquiry, please contact [email protected].
Sorry, but we do not respond to emails pertaining to planning. If you have questions pertaining to trip planning or other topics, leave your question in a relevant post or contact your travel agent. Unfortunately, we cannot respond to emails soliciting advice regarding Disney. Please understand that doing so would take several hours per day, consuming too much time better spent writing blog posts and planning resources for all.
If you need comprehensive or personalized trip planning advice and help booking your trip, we recommend contacting an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner (Disneyspeak for a travel agent). Try our sponsor, Be Our Guest Vacations.
We are just passionate Disney fans writing a blog about our experiences with advice based on those experiences. We are not affiliated with The Walt Disney Company nor is this an official Disney blog, so if you have questions or complaints about a booking with Disney or anything of that sort, you’ll want to contact Disney Guest Services for that.
Thanks,
Tom Bricker
June’s Mom I have an idea about something fun for June but it’s not at Disney World. It’s at Busch Gardens,
Tampa. If you email me at [email protected] I’ll explain. I hope it’s okay to write this here, I have no way to
contact you through Mr. and Mrs. Bricker that I can figure out.
Hello Tom –
I am a long time fan of your writing about Disney. You have earned a lot of trust and I look forward to your take on everything dealing with the Parks. I happened to look at my new Apple Security Report and was very surprised to see that the DisneyTouristBlog is BY FAR the most security concern item on the report. It shows well over 80 trackers embedded on your site. Before I stop reading your blog, will you please respond to what I am seeing in the Apple Report and why your blog is marked as such a problem? Thank you.
Tom
Can one guest book a selection with Genie+ and a different guest in the same party book an individual Genie for RoR at the same time? Example: could I get on at 7:00 to get Slinky Dog and my mom get on at 7:00 to get RoR? We are trying to plan a strategy to tackle the busiest week of the year as we go on Thanksgiving.
Thanks so much for all your posts!
Tom,
I always appreciate all your advice, which inspired me to write a note to you. I know your love of the muppets, and in all your praise of them, I’ve never seen you mention “A muppet family Christmas” 1987. If you have never seen it, please watch it this holiday season and enjoy. It is my favorite of all the muppet and all the Christmas specials (and I love them all)!
I was wondering if you have heard any new info or rumors of the mask policy changing at WDW now that the CDC has dropped the recommendation of indoor masks. My trip is very soon. Thanks
I am a Disney Vacation Club owner. My husband and I spend a considerable amount of money when we go. We try to go at least once a year. As a Disney fan we are disappointed that Disney does not seem to care about their loyal customers. I have not visited because of the covid and I have to lose some of my points. I plan to go in May, but if they don’t have a dining plan . we will eat in our room or go off property. also, I hope they still have conseration for handicappe. My husband is not able to stand on line. Also, the price for annual passes has increased over $200 per person and the loyal customers like ourselves should have more consideration.

Love this blog. I’ve used it for previous trips when we used to go frequently years ago. Due to new babies, life, and, of course, covid, we’ve not been back since the 45th anniversary. Just wondering if you have any posts for old veterans to adjust to the newest things. I actually stopped getting your blog during covid for a while because it was just too painful to read about a place where we’d have to mask the whole time. (Love your newest article about CDC recommendations, by the way–even if it gave me a little jump of false hope for our upcoming trip.) Anyway . . . I need a crash course to get ready to go again. I’m seeing all kinds of new stuff– Fast Passes are Lightning Lanes, no more free magic bands, characters will only greet you from a distance–I’ve heard in passing, but now I’ve got a refresher and cram before we leave next week. Do you have a post that directs readers on the newest things? Side note–I wish you articles were dated. Sometimes, I have a hard time of knowing what is most relevant. Thanks!
Hi Tom and Sarah,
We are heading there in early January 2022, is there any word on the “bounce back” program?
Thanks
Mark
Hi Tom. I have tried contacting Be Our Guest Vacarions twice. First through the link on your blog, second directly through their site. Finally they said someone would get back to me soon. It’s been a full week. I’m still waiting. I first visited Disneyland in 1968 – I was 10 when the park opened and had to wait 13 years to make my first trip. In the next 30 years I visited often, but my last trip was 20 years ago. Now approaching 80 I feel I need help planing my last visit to my favorite Disney park. I’m very disappointed in Be Our Guest.I thought you should know they’ve let me down. Rod
Has the Memory Maker Advance Payment Purchase Price been eliminated? I can’t locate the discounted price on the app.
Hi- ‘iLife your blog, but live in CA and frequent Disneyland more often.
Do you have a counterpart that does the wonderful work you and Sarah do, but more Land focused? Thanks!
Can you possibly do a post for those not staying on property and using Genie+ and the pay per ride? We go the first week of March 2022 for my 65th birthday and are concerned we will not be able to ride some of the rides as those on property get an advantage. With health issues standing in long lines for my husband may not be possible. So far all I have seen is for those staying on property who can get on at 7am. We need some kind of suggestions to make good choices and make it a less frustrating trip. The genie thing looks a bit complicated to me for older folks.. This may be our last trip there with all the changes they are making. We already hate Be Our Guest is now prix fix only. Thank you.
Hi Tim. We’re planning a 2022 family trip with 15 people (including some young kids). Ideally, we’d like a hotel with 1 bedroom suites — we’d need 4 of them. that is in walking distance to the Disneyland gate. I’ve looked at Courtyard — seems to have suites, but am having trouble finding others. Maybe you’ve addressed this in a blog I’ve missed. Thanks for your help. Alan
Hi Tom, I haven’t seen any mention of the cost of the GENIE pass on your Website? Any news available yet?
Do you have any word on when the club level rooms will open back up at the Polynesian will be open?
Hi Tom! Any guesses on when the specials for Winter 2022 will post?
Hello Tom. I came across your blog when searching for information relating to the Summer of 100 Million Smiles Dixieland Jazz series in September 1971. I have a unique Disney piece from that time period that I am trying to identify and thought I would reach out to you. Perhaps you could tell me more about it. My email address is – [email protected]
I would be happy to email you some photos of it.
Thank you,
Bruce
Hello Tom, I’ve just recently discovered your blog and and really enjoying it and gaining some useful info for our December girls trip to Disney World. I do have one question; what is the best time to go to the parks each day? When I’ve gone in the past (with family) we get up and catch the 1st bus to the park but I’m wondering if there is a good time to go later in the day (morning/afternoon/evening) –
You’ve written about the decreasing Covid cases in Florida. You should note that Florida has changed how it is reporting cases, which is artificially decreasing these numbers. There is reporting which documents these changes and how they are impacting the reporting and the CDC graphs which you are showing in your article.
Hi Tom. I may be wrong but I thought I read on your blog about riding Rise of the Resistance using the Standby line near closing time. We tried that and were told by the cast member there that she had read those blog(s) and said they were all false. She was working the ride on those nights that supposedly happened and she said it never happened. Any comments?
