Have a question about planning a trip to Disney or something you’ve read here? We’re here to help! We’ve visited every Disney resort around the world, from Walt Disney World to Tokyo Disney Resort, and have stayed in nearly every Disney-owned hotel.
Many frequently asked questions we receive can be answered by reading the posts on this site. If you are curious about a certain topic, use the search feature at the top of the page. Some of our most helpful pages include the following…
If you’re trying to plan a Walt Disney World trip, visit our Walt Disney World Trip Planning Guide. If planning a Disneyland trip, check out our Disneyland Trip Planning Guide. If you have questions about photography or want camera recommendations, read our Photography Guide. If you want to use one of the Tom’s photos from this site on your own blog, website, etc., check out our Photo Usage page. If you have questions about Sarah’s attire, take a look at our What to Wear to Disney and Unique Disney Packing List posts.
If you can’t find a post that answers your question, please leave a comment on a relevant post, and we will do our best to reply to your question. We see all new comments, even on old posts. This is the easiest and most effective way of asking us a question. Unfortunately, we do not have time to respond to questions via email–you’re much more likely to get a response to a comment on a post.
Please note that we just two passionate Disney fans writing a blog about our experiences with advice based on those experiences in our free time. In other words, don’t expect instantaneous responses or post an ALL CAPS comment when we don’t respond to you within a day. If you don’t hear from us within a week or two, consider re-posting the comment, as we might have missed it.
We are not affiliated with The Walt Disney Company nor is this an official Disney blog, so if you have questions or complaints about a booking with Disney or anything of that sort, you’ll want to contact Disney Guest Services for that.
Thanks,
Sarah & Tom Bricker
Hi! I’m a former CM and Disney pro who has a trip booked for September. That being said it has been years since I really came down to FL.
Your blog is a godsend. I wish I had it in 2009 when I was doing my college program.
I booked the weekend of 9/24-9/27. I convinced two of my friends who are Disney skeptics. The past few weeks I have had a lot of anxiety about crowds. What are your thoughts? Should I be expecting pre pandemic level crowds? Do you think the park capacities will be back at 100%? Anything you can do to ease my mind!
Hi there,
random question but I was just wondering if you had reviewed this show at Disneyland Paris by any chance? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nk3-zPQNBeY
My Partner is in it and desperate for a review by a blogger such as yourselves. He is Jason Yang-Westland – if you get a chance and want to do a throwback and review the show – he is featured throughout but noticeably the person on the left in the two man tap solo section towards the end.
We have reservations at a Disney resort and a 5 day pass for the week of June 11 through June 19, 2021. Right now we can only get reservations to Epcot and Animal Kingdom. How do we get reservations to the Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios ?
Hello there!
This is Melibella and I am a certified illustrator.
I was confused, putting it lightly, when I found my images at your website. If you use a copyrighted image without an owner’s license, you must know that you could be sued by the copyright holder.
It’s unlawful to use stolen images and it’s so Ñheap!
See this document with the links to my images you used at http://www.disneytouristblog.com and my earlier publications to get the evidence of my legal copyrights.
Download it now and check this out for yourself:

If you don’t remove the images mentioned in the file above within the next several days, I’ll file a to your hosting provider letting them know that my copyrights have been severely infringed and I am trying to protect my intellectual property.
And if it doesn’t help, you may be pretty damn sure I am going to take it to court! And you won’t receive the second notice from me.
Hi Tom and Sarah
Can you tell me how Disney have managed to change the way Magic bands are bought and the exorbitant price increase without it being posted on your blog. The blog is saying they can be purchased on My Disney Experience and describes the process of purchasing solid colours for $5. They now can only be purchased at the resort (we are staying at the Yacht club September 2021), or Disney.com for $14.99.
I have and still will enjoy your posts, but this needs highlighting.
Tom, Is there an official list of currently open restaurants at WDW ?
Tom,
Is there an official list of currently open restaurants at WDW ? I’ve seen several posts about which restaurants were supposed to re-open on 7/22/20, but nothing updated. My family and I have a trip using rented DVC points at the Polynesian from 10/6-10/12 and while I’m reticent about eating indoors, the Kona Cafe has always been one of our must do’s.
Thanks for all you do!
Dear Tom, your wonderful articles and insight have helped me plan several trips and lately is my Disney fix, until I can safely travel! I know you are more than aware of this issue……..
I’m not tech savvy, but can you maybe block some of your more toxic posters? They are here only for a fight, no matter what. The insults are disgusting, the continuous bullying disheartening.
That’s not why you do this. My interpretation is you love this, all things Disney (most lol) and you want to share that. Me too. Talk it over with your wife. This is not a freedom of speech issue or I-won’t-wear-a-mask debate or whatever Covid related diatribe they are on today. Let them take all of that elsewhere. The nasty, toxic few are bringing nothing to intelligent discussions or civil sharing of ideas. This is your house, your choices, your rules. Whatever you feel is best, but thank you for your attention and for all you do.
Hey Tom! I stopped receiving your. Log for some reason. I can’t find in your website where to subscribe again. Help’
Hi Tom and Sarah!
I really enjoy reading your blog and have referred to it innumerable times when planning my trips to WDW.
I need to change the email address your updates are sent to, and maybe I just missed it, but I couldn’t find any instructions on how to do that. Would you mind advising me on the steps I need to take to change my email address?
Thank you so much and I look forward to reading more of your posts.

Any opinions on whether or not the Buffet concept will return to DW restaurants – probably at a later date than the regular table service restaurants. Reason for the ask is my absolute favorite meal at DW is the California Grille Sunday Brunch.
Hi Tom & Sarah too!
Perhaps you have written the following post at some point and I have not come across it, or maybe it was before I became a subscriber to your blog, (a fantastic, informative and mostly unbiased blog that I adore) but I wonder if you could possibly take the time one day to create an entry which lists and defines all the many acronyms, abbreviations and “Disney Speak” terms that arise throughout your posts, reader comments, and are likely used by Disney enthusiasts everywhere. I keep up with your blog daily, scroll through most of the comments, peruse other online Disney news and media, and I have to say, even as a DVC member and Disney enthusiast who visits the parks annually, I sure am confused sometimes when the words are not spelled out for me! Just a thought, should you ever find yourself searching for subject matter. And if it already exists, can I get a link to that post please?
Be well and safe!
Hi Tom,
I am planning a trip to Disneyland Paris in the fall. I have been scouring the internet for answers, but have been reluctant to find any information regarding my question. Sites like hotels.com and Expedia offer rooms with park tickets included, at a MUCH lower rate. Do you know if the park tickets received are the same amount of days as if you book through the Disneyland Paris site? The savings are so much that even buying tickets separately it would be worth it, but wanted to see if you had any advice on this as I know you visited a few times from the post on that. Thanks so much for any help you can offer
Given the growing number of uncertainties surrounding a Disney vacation, our family is having trouble deciding when to visit. Taking into account closures, crowds, and price increases, If you could only plan one trip to Disneyworld in the next year, when would you go?
Tom….Big problem with ROTR today….People not in park were assigned BG’s., including myself……….several people on one of the forums i was reading had same thing happen
Do you by chance have a screenshot of your boarding group that we could use in an article about this? If so, please email me: [email protected]
Thanks!
Hi Tom.
IMy wife and I are going out to CA to visit our children (2/22 to 2/26) and will visit Disney land with our granddaughter.
It’ll be our first trip to DL.
We have Walt Disney World Annual Passes.
Can we use our magic bands? Do we need to buy tickets or is there some little known fact that might help us save money?
I’d be grateful for any advice and insights?
Thanks for taking the time to read and consider answering my plea for help.
Most Sincerely, Bill
PS You do a fantastic job with your blog/website and it’s mind boggling to me that you do all this for free and have a regular day job on top of all you do. Just phenomenal. Your photos are incredible. Thanks for all you do.
We have visited Walt Disney World twice and most recently stayed at Art of Animation. Our family has points within the Wyndham resort system and we are considering staying at the Bonnet Creek resort for a future trip. We are concerned with not being considered “on property” as far as dining and fast pass reservations, and also the differences in transportation availability. Would we need to rent a car? If so would we have to pay to park wherever we went? $7 per person, per roundtrip sounds pretty steep for the shuttle with our group of 9 and how much we go back and forth to the parks. Looking at proximity, I was wondering if its possible to go over to Caribbean beach and hop a bus or skyliner? Do the skyliner stations have any parking?
I used to get your email updates and for some reason, I am no longer getting them. Can you add me back on to you email list? I enjoy reading your emails about what is going on in Disney World and all of your adventures. Thank you so much,Ginnie Duffin
Hi Tom,
My husband is obsessed with your blog, he loves it so much. Most nights while tucked up in bed he will sit admiring every Mickey filled word that you write!
Sometimes I think he would rather be married to you than me, but I doubt Sarah would stand for that.
Do you ever meet your followers in a character meet and greet type situation?
Additionally, my query is how do you stay slim if you eat at Disney so frequently?
Thanks
Emma
Hi Tom,
Really enjoyed all of the Star Wars planning advice. I visited Disneyland California the week after opening and sadly didn’t accomplish much. We will be back at Disney World this summer and hope to have much better success. With regard to the virtual queue, how do you enter Hollywood Studios 2 hrs before official park opening? What does one do while waiting until the official open time? Is Disney Transportation available of would we need a Minnie Van?
Thanks for all of your help,
Erin
