The Path to Cinderella Castle Photo

Cinderella Castle Ultra Wide Angle

Ahhh, Cinderella Castle. Although I spend so much time simply gazing at Cinderella Castle on each of our Walt Disney World trips, I have to make a conscious effort to photograph it. I seem to be so entranced by it that I forget to put the camera to my eye to snap photos of it!

Our May 2012 trip was my first chance to use my new ultra wide angle lens, the Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8. Unsurprisingly, I used this lens more than any other lens in my bag, and had a lot of fun with it. It’s the sharpest lens I own (click this image to view it large to see what I mean!), and is great for landscapes or shots of architecture. It does flare a bit more than I’d like (especially at night when shooting bright light sources), but otherwise it’s an amazing lens.

Technical Details: Nikon D700 and Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 lens.
