Have a question about planning a trip to Disney or something you’ve read here? Hopefully this blog can help! We’ve visited every Disney resort around the world, from Walt Disney World to Tokyo Disneyland, have stayed in nearly every Disney-owned hotel in the world, and have dined at the majority of Disney restaurants.
Presumably, most of you coming to this site are here for Walt Disney World or Disneyland trip planning advice. Common questions you have can probably be answered by posts we already have written that pertain to these topics and contain links to most critical vacation planning info.
If you’re trying to plan a Walt Disney World trip, visit our Walt Disney World Trip Planning Guide. If planning a Disneyland trip, check out our Disneyland Trip Planning Guide. If you look on the right-hand sidebar, you’ll also find links to other key planning-related posts. You can subscribe to our FREE email newsletter here.
If you have a media request, advertising, or marketing inquiry, please contact [email protected].
Sorry, but we do not respond to emails pertaining to planning. If you have questions pertaining to trip planning or other topics, leave your question in a relevant post or contact your travel agent. Unfortunately, we cannot respond to emails soliciting advice regarding Disney. Please understand that doing so would take several hours per day, consuming too much time better spent writing blog posts and planning resources for all.
If you need comprehensive or personalized trip planning advice and help booking your trip, we recommend contacting an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner (Disneyspeak for a travel agent). Try our sponsor, Be Our Guest Vacations.
We are just passionate Disney fans writing a blog about our experiences with advice based on those experiences. We are not affiliated with The Walt Disney Company nor is this an official Disney blog, so if you have questions or complaints about a booking with Disney or anything of that sort, you’ll want to contact Disney Guest Services for that.
Thanks,
Tom Bricker
I am going to Disneyland, in Orlando, Fl. on 12/26/15 until 1/02/16. I am retired military, with 100% total and permanent disability. Do you know if I can obtain
any discount during the period I am staying there? I have seen something about blocked out dates, but not sure if that applies. Any information will be
appreciated.
Hi John,
This website will be a great resource for you: http://www.militarydisneytips.com/
Enjoy your trip and thank you for your service.

To, your site has changed a lot. It’s less pretty, hard to navigate, and full of ads. What happened? I am using Chrome.
You are mentioned here!

We are currently returning from our first family vacation to Walt Disney World. We had an AMAZING trip in which we which we stayed at a great on property resort (Disney’s Boardwalk) ate at some awesome restaurants (Polynesian was one of our favorites), and were able to do just about everything we wanted in the four parks. This was in large part due to the fact that I read much of your blog and took you up on many of your suggestions. So THANK YOU for all your work in putting this information together!
Tom, I think we may have just passed each other on the skyway bridge. You had your tripod and looked to be in a hurry, so I didn’t want to stop you. We enjoy your blog and all the pertinent information.
I think just for Disneyworld not Disneyland.
Thanks though 🙂
Wondering if anyone can recall when the tickets go on sale for Disneylands Mickey’s not so scary halloween party events? We will be there in October and curious as to how early tickets usually go up for sale.
Thank you!
Tickets are on sale now!
Tickets are currently on sale for Disney World in Florida, not Disneyland in Cali.
Just wondering how you were able to get such great access at night with no one else in the park. I love all your night shots on smugmug. Is this an after hours tour or something?
Hey there! Have any good suggestions on 1080p HD Camcorders with zoom? Looking to spend $400 or so.

I read somewhere and I can not remember where, that there is a place to watch the fireworks (I think) and Tinker Bell will fly right over your head. We are going the first week in March 2014 and have a 7 year old and a 2 year old and I think this would really be exciting for them. Thank you in advance for your reply.

Did you get my e-mail regarding the Simga 28mm f/1.8 vs the Sigma Art Line 30mm f/1.4 lens? I sent it last week and was wondering if you had seen it after your big trip to Hong Kong/Tokyo.
We are Canadians planning a trip to WDW march 2014. If we purchase the no expiraty date 5 or 10 day option, can these tickets be transferable to WDland?
If we purchase before march 2014 are these tickets still valid after Disney eliminates there no expiration ticket offer that happens in March? again can they be used in both parks?
I want to take my granddaughter back to Disney World. She want to only got o Epcot and Animal Kingdom.(not to hop one each day) We then want to go to Sea world and MGM or is it Universal off Disney. So can you tell me the best way to buy those tickets.

Checking if I am eligible for the free dining plan on my trip 10/30/13 through 11/4/13?
We are Disneyland frequent fliers heading to Disney World for Christmas and would love to know if there is an article that compares the two; this attraction is the same as that attraction, this dining menu, this show, etc. We want to be able to skip a crazy long line if we know it is the same attraction we will do in a couple of months at Disneyland, and we want to make sure we do those things that are unique to WDW knowing it will be five years before we are there again! Any suggestions?
Thanks
Not yet, but I ought to write one!
Yes, please!
That would be fantastic! We go to Disneyland several times a year but are going to Disney World for the first time and we’ve been wondering the same thing. With such limited time at WDW, having an idea of what we could skip would really help.
We are visiting Disney in June for a 4 day 3 night vacation. Got a really good package dealwhich includes two Disney tickets and i need to purchase two more for my kids. Wondering if u can give me the best rate on those. Thanks
