Up to 20% Off Discounts on Hotels of Disneyland Resort for Halloween & Christmas 2026
Disney has released new deals at the Hotels of Disneyland Resort during the Halloween and Holiday seasons, running until December 19, 2026. Room discounts are available for the general public, Disney Visa cardholders, and Magic Key Annual Passholders. This post shares the details about the special offers, commentary about savings, staying off-site vs. on-site, and booking recommendations.
These discounts will be available at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel, Villas at Disneyland Hotel, and Pixar Place Hotel. Savings vary based upon both room category, with prices also increasing during busier rate chart seasons.
That last variable has the biggest impact. If you have flexibility in your travel dates, we’d highly recommend visiting Disneyland during a weekday away from the upcoming holiday weeks–Fall Break/Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, or Christmas. The rack rate charts are less expensive and crowds will hopefully be better. With that out of the way, let’s dig into the deals!

Magic Key holder who made the reservation must present their valid Magic Key pass at check-in, and such Magic Key holder must stay in a room on the reservation. For the most part, this closely mirrors last year’s deal for the same timeframe. With that said, there are a few interesting notes about these new deals for the Hotels of Disneyland Resort in late 2026.
The first is that it seem confusing that the general public gets a “better” deal than Annual Passholders with savings of 20% off versus 15% off, but that’s due to the attached conditions. The general public special offer requires a minimum 3-night stay; given the cost of these hotels and average stay duration, that’s a big barrier to entry.
The Disney Visa deal has no minimum stay, but is only valid on weeknights. The Annual Passholder rate is only 15% off, but at least it’s valid on single-night weekend stays. That’s what we and other locals mostly book when doing Disneyland.
Beyond that, it’s somewhat surprising that there are no hotel discounts from now through October 10, 2026. Aside from the very tail end of that when Fall Break starts, that’s not typically a high occupancy timeframe. To the contrary, there’s available in standard rooms at all three hotels tonight!
My best guess is that rack rates are lower right now, so Disneyland doesn’t feel as much “need” to offer discounts to offset those. With standard room prices “only” in the $550 to $650, perhaps they’re right.
On the other hand, I’d much rather do a stay around mid-November or mid-December 2026, when Pixar Place Hotel is as low as $420/night and Disneyland Hotel is under $500. (Grand Californian is a totally different story.)
In doing over one-dozen different searches to spot-check pricing, Pixar Place Hotel is the cheapest option ~90% of the time, whereas the Grand Californian is most expensive 100% of the time. I only found a few nights when GCH is in the $700/night range; it’s often ~$800/night, and occasionally over $1,000 even after discounts.
Speaking of which, another obvious difference between last year and 2026 is that Pixar Place Hotel is included.
That trend began earlier this year, after the reimagined resort was excluded from several consecutive special offers. It would seem the newly-redone hotel smell has worn off. That, or the lack of a private entrance into DCA is impacting bookings.
If you’re planning to book an on-site Hotel of Disneyland Resort, we recommend requesting a fee-free Disneyland vacation price quote from Be Our Guest Vacations. As for hotel recommendations, if it’s a once in a lifetime trip or special occasion and you’re dead set on staying on-site, we’d highly recommend going with Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. It’s typically the most expensive of the trio, but it’s also the most “worth it” from our perspective. The Grand Californian is a true luxury resort and thematic gem–think of it as the best parts of Wilderness Lodge and Grand Floridian, combined in a single hotel.
Grand Californian is the nicest hotel in Anaheim, and one of the best hotels in Orange County, period. I’ve also found myself drawn more to the Craftsman style over the years, and love exploring the quiet corners of the Grand Californian. If you have enough money to stay at on-site at Disneyland for 3+ nights, you probably have the resources to do GCH. It’s far and away our #1 hotel at DLR. If money were no object, it’s where we’d always stay.
Of course, the GCH is frequently $250 to $400 per night more expensive than Pixar Place Hotel or Disneyland Hotel. It’s easy to recommend the priciest option without taking the cost into account! (As much as I love GCH, I wouldn’t pay $800/night for it when Pixar Place Hotel is $450 or DLH is $500.)
We like Disneyland Hotel, but it’s just not on the same level as GCH. It’s also not usually as inexpensive as Pixar Place Hotel, and is in need of a room refresh and a table service restaurant. This sort of puts it in “no man’s land” at the moment.
It’s a sentimental favorite, a love letter to Walt Disney and his original theme park that fans will adore. However, it’s just not as high of a caliber of a hotel when viewed objectively. DLH is also not nearly as close to the parks–the private entrance into DCA offered at GCH is hugely advantageous.

The practical reality is that all three options are going to be too expensive even after discount for 95% of people planning visits to Disneyland. That’s precisely why they have plenty of availability despite there being only 3 of them, versus hundreds of hotels in the area.
There are also a ton of great off-site hotels that are within walking distance to the parks and cost much less money than the three Hotels of Disneyland Resort. As you can see in our Disneyland Area Hotel Rankings & Reviews, some of these even rank higher than the off-site hotels.
We refreshed these rankings again before Summer 2026 and added a couple of new hotels. We stay off-site often, and not just for research trips. About 90% of our staycations are at a trio of our personal favorite third party hotels in Anaheim.
Just keep in mind that October through December is also going to be a popular time at the third party hotels in Southern California, so you’re going to be paying premium prices pretty much no matter where you book. Still not nearly as much as the three official hotels would set you back, but much more than the same accommodations would cost right now or in the winter. This is true throughout Southern California, not just at Disneyland. You can score some great deals in the beach cities when it’s a bit colder out!
If you’re looking to book a third party hotel, we do not recommend going through Disneyland’s Good Neighbor search engine, as that’ll cost you more. Instead, book a discounted hotel + ticket vacation package via Get Away Today. In addition to the package discount, some hotels have ‘4th night free’ promos.
You can also save an extra $10 by using code TOURIST at checkout (valid on 2-night and longer stays). This is in addition to any package or bundle savings on tickets and hotels. A lot of these third party hotels will have great rates during the late summer and early fall off-season, too.
We’d also note that Get Away Today is currently offering their ‘Bundle & Save More’ deal, which offers up to an additional $50 off when bundling tickets and hotel. This deal ends at the end of today (September 22, 2026), and it’s worth checking out. You should be able to stack ticket deals, 4th night free promos, and the bundle discount. With Disneyland releasing its discounts, rooms starting to book up for the final few months of the year, and this deal ending, you really should get something booked today if at all possible, whether via Disney directly or a third party.
Now is just generally a good time to purchase a package if you’re visiting for the heart of the Halloween or Christmas seasons, as Disneyland almost certainly will increase ticket prices shortly after the start of the new fiscal year in October. Buying tickets now will beat that, and lock-in current pre-increase pricing.
Ultimately, enjoying Disneyfied design and themed accommodations could tip the scales in favor of staying at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels if you’re on the fence. However, all of these on-site hotels are pretty pricey, and it’s hard to justify the on-site stay from an objective perspective. The better/easier justification is simply because you want to, whether that means a single-night “treat yo self” stay or going all-out on a deluxe Disneyland vacation.
If you’ve never done Disneyland and want the quintessential first-visit experience, we’d recommend splurging on a brief stay at Grand Californian or Disneyland Hotel if it’s in your budget. If not, you’ll still have a fantastic experience. Either way, saving a bit of money always helps, and that’s what these discounts offer.
