Have a question about planning a trip to Disney or something you’ve read here? Hopefully this blog can help! We’ve visited every Disney resort around the world, from Walt Disney World to Tokyo Disneyland, have stayed in nearly every Disney-owned hotel in the world, and have dined at the majority of Disney restaurants.
Presumably, most of you coming to this site are here for Walt Disney World or Disneyland trip planning advice. Common questions you have can probably be answered by posts we already have written that pertain to these topics and contain links to most critical vacation planning info.
If you’re trying to plan a Walt Disney World trip, visit our Walt Disney World Trip Planning Guide. If planning a Disneyland trip, check out our Disneyland Trip Planning Guide. If you look on the right-hand sidebar, you’ll also find links to other key planning-related posts. You can subscribe to our FREE email newsletter here.
If you have a media request, advertising, or marketing inquiry, please contact [email protected].
Sorry, but we do not respond to emails pertaining to planning. If you have questions pertaining to trip planning or other topics, leave your question in a relevant post or contact your travel agent. Unfortunately, we cannot respond to emails soliciting advice regarding Disney. Please understand that doing so would take several hours per day, consuming too much time better spent writing blog posts and planning resources for all.
If you need comprehensive or personalized trip planning advice and help booking your trip, we recommend contacting an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner (Disneyspeak for a travel agent). Try our sponsor, Be Our Guest Vacations.
We are just passionate Disney fans writing a blog about our experiences with advice based on those experiences. We are not affiliated with The Walt Disney Company nor is this an official Disney blog, so if you have questions or complaints about a booking with Disney or anything of that sort, you’ll want to contact Disney Guest Services for that.
Thanks,

Tom,
Your comments at the bottom of each posting are not loading properly. Only the most recent comments show. When I click on “older comments”, then I am taking to the first comment submitted.
Very odd. I do enjoy reading everyone’s comments. Now I can’t.
Dear Disney Tourist Blog Team,

To Whom it May Concern:Tom Bricker
I am an 8th grader at Dodd Middle School in Cheshire, CT and we are learning how to
design podcasts and use other technologies as part of our communication class. As part of
this project our teacher gave us the opportunity to learn about whatever topic we wanted to
learn more about and I have chosen to learn about New Things Coming To Disney World Parks. Therefore,
I was wondering if it would be possible to interview you about this topic as part of my
podcast. I want to thank you for your consideration of this possible interview and look
forward to hearing from you.
If you would like to check out some of our students past podcasts you can listen to them at

Thanks again for your time and consideration,
Hello, can you tell me why the United Kingdom site has the promotion for free dining at WDW, but the US site does not? Is it worth me booking it through the UK site? ( I live in Greece will be coming to States in spring) Thank you !!!
Hello! Hope the weather is fine in Anaheim 🙂 I’ve found your website in google by typing “buy hard alcohol online”. Unfortunately the website is not the best regarding loading speed. Take a look at Google insights performance test https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=www.disneytouristblog.com Google considers site speed as one of the signals used by its algorithm to rank pages. Most likely customers pass by for this reason! Stop losing your money because of slowly loading website! We have a special offer for you. Website speed up just for $69 ! Hi! Your blog has a lot of great info for WDW visitors. I just wish there was a date somewhere at the top of your stories to know when they were written. Thanks.
Have you heard anything about there being another Arts Festival this year, starting in January 2017 at Epcot?
oops! January 2018…….
Can you resend the link to your Christmas at WDW ebook? I must have deleted the email with it. THANKS!
Can anyone suggest how many days you need to visit Tokyo Disneyland, 1x day or 2x days?
Also is thee any advantage to stay at the Disneyland Hotel
It would be myself, my wife and my 14 year old daughter.
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards Peter
If I want to go to Magic Kingdom for 2 days and Animal Kingdom for 1 day will a park hopper pass work or is it only good for 1 DIFFERENT park per day?
Hi Tom,
I love your blog. Thanks for all the insightful info.
I was wondering if you could add a “printer friendly” option to your blog? I like to print our your articles to read, however, when I do that, oftentimes, the articles are cut off in certain sections due to ads that are placed in the article once I select the print option. For example, in your Guide to FastPass+ at Disney World, when I print it, the recommended rides/attractions at Magic Kingdom don’t print because there is an ad (which, ironically, prints as a blank box) covering it. That happens on almost every page that is printed.
As a former blogger, I always wanted to know if my page wasn’t working properly for my readers, so I thought you may want to know, and may want to install a widget to help with the printing.
Thanks for all you do!
Anyone know why there are limited WDW rooms available the 2 weeks after Thanksgiving at any price (even regular price)? Look at 11/25/17-12/9/17 (any date duration). These are usually slower weeks and I never seen this low of availability. Its like they are holding back rooms. Even Swan and Dolphin full. Any thoughts? Mike
Subject: Racism in Tokyo Disneyland is quite true.
Last June, I traveled to Tokyo with my mother and sister.
At the entrance, Mickey Mouse and other figures greet people especially children. Everybody was taking photo with them hugging, hand shaking etc. It is mentionable that all of them were Japanese. But when we insisted, taking a photo he crossed his arms, giving most unfriendly posture. This is for “Disney Rabbit”.
Hello Tom,
I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for your helpful research and advice. My family and I went to WDW in January of 2016 with one of the main reasons being that I wanted to give my mother a celebratory vacation and quality time with her grandchildren after beating cancer. It was a great trip but it ended up including many other family members and was anything but relaxing.
Well, thanks to tips and news bits I discovered on your blog I have been able to plan another trip for November 2017 that I think will be perfect for our multi-generational family of 5. It will be a much shorter trip (only 3 days to visit parks) but since we plan on visiting regularly we won’t be trying to do EVERYTHING. We will there for the end of Food and Wine and the beginning of Christmas parties. Thanks for all the tips on navigating those two events. AND, again thanks to you, we managed to book rooms at CBR (and will be using the gift cards to pay for a couple of fabulous meals) and get a pin code, saving us over $1,000. Keep up the good work. It is appreciated!
Thanks for your kind message. Glad to hear the blog has helped you plan and save money thus far. Hope you have an excellent trip! 🙂
Hi Tom. I love reading your posts and am using your recommendations to plan our 2017 Disney Christmas trip. Unfortunately, we will not be staying on property and will not be able to take advantage of the Dining Plan(just not feasible for my family at the time). However, I really want to take advantage of 2-3 Character Dining. Which, would be your top 3 picks for the best character interaction and food? I have made ADR’s for a few things just to make sure we have a spot. Now I just trying to narrow it down. Thanks and have a magical day!
The refillable mugs cannot be used in the theme parks…correct? I wanted to clarify because in the first paragraph it states the refillable mugs are used in the resort hotels and theme parks. Thanks.
Take the RER A-4 ligne (destination Marne La Vallee-Chessy, which
is the final stop) directly to Disneyland Paris. So what actually is Fast Pass and
how can you use it. Worth mentioning is the fun nautical theme,
which can be quite fun especially for children.
Which time do you prefer for the Candlelight Processional? We will be there late November and this is our first time seeing it.
Thanks-
Michelle
Good Afternoon!
I have our next trip planned for January 2018 and was wondering what advice or experiences that you have had at the Epcot Arts Festival-
Thanks!
I plan to visit MK on 2 days in December 2017 when they have a Mickeys Very Special Christmas Party and another day when there is no party.
I realize party entry starts at 4 PM and non party goers are evicted at 7PM.
I have 3 questions:
1. Are the fireworks and castle “show” different on the different days (Christmas Party vs. No party)
2. If I go on a “Party Day” and make Mickeys special dinner reservations at 6:20 and don’t buy a “party ticket”, will I be able to have dinner
and leave at 7PM when the party starts?
3. What are the biggest differences you get by paying $100 for a party ticket?

Hi Tom!
My family and I will be visiting Tokyo in August. We are trying to buy our Disneyland eTickets online and are having trouble. We have tried multiple credit cards and we get an error message every time. Do you typically pre-purchase your park tickets for Tokyo Disneyland or do you buy them when you arrive? Should I worry about them suspending ticket sales? From what I can tell, they should accept my Canadian Mastercard, but it doesn’t seem to be working.
Thank you!!
Lisa
We always buy them when we arrive. So long as you’re not visiting on a weekend, you shouldn’t have an issue.
Hi Lisa, I had the same problem i had to call the customer service number and do it over the phone. They spoke English and were really helpful. Good luck
