Have a question about planning a trip to Disney or something you’ve read here? Hopefully this blog can help! We’ve visited every Disney resort around the world, from Walt Disney World to Tokyo Disneyland, have stayed in nearly every Disney-owned hotel in the world, and have dined at the majority of Disney restaurants.
Presumably, most of you coming to this site are here for Walt Disney World or Disneyland trip planning advice. Common questions you have can probably be answered by posts we already have written that pertain to these topics and contain links to most critical vacation planning info.
If you’re trying to plan a Walt Disney World trip, visit our Walt Disney World Trip Planning Guide. If planning a Disneyland trip, check out our Disneyland Trip Planning Guide. If you look on the right-hand sidebar, you’ll also find links to other key planning-related posts. You can subscribe to our FREE email newsletter here.
If you have a media request, advertising, or marketing inquiry, please contact [email protected].
Sorry, but we do not respond to emails pertaining to planning. If you have questions pertaining to trip planning or other topics, leave your question in a relevant post or contact your travel agent. Unfortunately, we cannot respond to emails soliciting advice regarding Disney. Please understand that doing so would take several hours per day, consuming too much time better spent writing blog posts and planning resources for all.
If you need comprehensive or personalized trip planning advice and help booking your trip, we recommend contacting an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner (Disneyspeak for a travel agent). Try our sponsor, Be Our Guest Vacations.
We are just passionate Disney fans writing a blog about our experiences with advice based on those experiences. We are not affiliated with The Walt Disney Company nor is this an official Disney blog, so if you have questions or complaints about a booking with Disney or anything of that sort, you’ll want to contact Disney Guest Services for that.
Thanks,
Tom Bricker
Would it be possible to add dates to blog posts?
Sometimes you’ve written when an article was last updated, which is very much appreciated. Change can happen fast at WDW and a date would help judge if certain info in the posts might not be relevant any longer or to more easily find e.g. your most recent review of a restaurant.
Thank you for all the great content! Your blog is a massive help for planning my upcoming trip to WDW!
Hey Tom –
Do you still recommend using UV filters on DSLR’s. I’ve been reading that some photographers are saying that it soften’s the image and really offers little protection. What are your thoughts?

Re: Hello,
I am a Digital Marketing Specialist for a Creative Agency.
I was doing some industry benchmarking for a client of mine when I came across your website.
I noticed a few technical errors which correspond with a drop of website traffic over the last 6-8 months which I thought I would bring to your attention.
After closer inspection it appears your site is lacking in 4 key criteria.
1- Website Speed
2- Link Diversity
3- Domain Authority
4- Competition Comparison
I can send you over the report which shows all of the above and so much more which will help you at least improve your site, its rankings and traffic.
I would love the chance to help as well however; this report will at least give you a gauge on the quality of what I do. If you are interested then please share your requirement and contact details.
Is this the best email to send it to?

Longtime reader- I’m not sure you all will see this, but I love that you put pictures back up for the Disney Trip reports!! As odd as it sounds, they bring me great joy to read, and I have done so for years. My husband and I dated for a decade visiting WDW regularly and now we go with our young kids multiple times a year. (We are early 30 somethings and live in the Cincinnati area, people think we are crazy.) Through the years these have ‘gotten me through’ in between trips and provided some escapism when I was going through hard times, like our youngest being sick in the hospital. Inspired by you guys, I now write trip reports for my own family’s personal record, hoping to give the ‘stories’ of our ‘park touring days’ to my girls when they grow up. (Entirely too much detail, I know!) Bottom line- I’m glad they are back. Thanks for all the hard work you guys put into them!
Tom,
I love perusing your blog. It has been very helpful and authoritative regarding past trips to WDW. I’m considering a trip to Disneyland in 2019 – we have never been and the differences in planning for DL vs WDW are jarring. Thanks for all the information to help us WDW veterans navigate DL! I do have a question regarding crowds for 2019. We are considering a trip in May (but trying to avoid Grad Nites) or mid to late June to DL. What kind of crowds do you anticipate for 2019 knowing that the Star Wars areas will be opening in DL in mid-summer. We experienced the high crowd levels in WDW after Pandora opened. If we are trying to avoid those huge crowds post-opening of Star Wars, should we really stick to the May timeframe? We could also go in March 2019 during spring break season, which I understand is crazy busy because of locals and tourists alike.
Stumped on this one. My son is a huge Lightning McQueen fan, and I really want to capture his imagination with a trip in 2019 rather than waiting to do DL in 2020. Should I aim for spring break season, late May, or mid-to late June 2019 to manage crowds? I’m sure other people are concerned about crowds given the new attractions being opened in 2019. Star Wars will be such a huge draw.
Best regards,
Whitney
I would love to be included in your emails in regards to Disney plans and your blog about different Disney attractions.
Thank you!
Hi Tom,
I’m wondering if buying an Annual Pass is the best way to go if you know you may be going to WDW 3 times in the next 18 months. Would you recommend an Annual pass. I say only 3 times because we live on the West Coast.
I want to subscribe to your newsletter but it won’t allow me. It says to make corrections to my email address which is correct. Help?
Hi there!
We got 2-Day Ticket with Admission to 1 Park Per Day (Ages 10+) Valid Through: January 13, 2019 but unfortunately we wont be able to use them.
Is there a legal/authorized website where we can sell them??
Thank you very much. We really appreciate your answer!
Regards,
Leticia.
Is there anything going on starting June 1. We are scheduled to be there on vacation from May 31 thru June 5 with our son, his Fiancée and 3 grandkids. Anything we need to know. We have heard different stories and are concerned
Hi i have a question and first of all THANKYOU For all your Disney information!!!! Wow what a blessing!!! My question is this…i have 3 adults and two little ones. a 2 year old and a 4 year old we want to take to Disney as soon as we can which looks like it might be Jan/Feb 2019. We got an offer for free dining but its too expensive wow! We are going to take your advice and do the rental of points. We love Disney and being an owner might be something we would be interested in anyway. I am getting very overwhelmed looking at the deluxe villas. Can you reccomend one? We love a hot tub, private one is even better and we would need 2 bathrooms. We have stayed at moderate and value…so I am sure any deluxe is just awesome. Just looking for a recommendation. The bungolows at Polynesian looked like fun!!! But we would also like a pool. A pool is a must and 2 bedroom thanks so much!!!!
I would like to receive emails and updates for all your post. I am really interested in the specials and offers that become available as well.
When you arrive at WDW parking lot. Is there a fee for parking? Also, from the parking lot do you catch a monorail to arrive at magic kingdom? what is the best time to get there and leave enough time to get to the entrance of magic kingdom. Thanks
You write such long and detailed blog entries. But, could you take a few minutes to clear out all the spam on your forums. The spammers have found a haven!
Hi Tom and Sarah,
Thank you for all the tips.
Do you know if there is an obligation to be in person to buy the annual passes using the gift cards or if it could be done online or through phone?
Regards,
Are any of your photos available to download, or to purchase? I am making scrapbooks for the grandkids I took to Disneyland and your pictures are far better than mine, and I would love to use some of your pictures in my scrapbook. This would be for personal use only, not to sell.
Thanks
Hi Tom & Sarah,
What an excellent site. Full of an enormous amount of information, especially for foreign visitors. There is so much info, it becomes almost impossible to absorb all the detail. Just an idea/suggestion, but would it not be possible to have your blogs in some form of downloadable format that we can print and bring with us on the trip. For non-USA citizens, families cannot afford to repetitively travel half way round the world to visit WDW, and any brilliant ideas expressed in your blogs, in a printable format would be the ultimate guide for newbies to use.
Thanks for the comment! I’ve received that suggestion before and, unfortunately, there’s no way for me to add that type of feature to the blog easily. I’m not the best when it comes to web design and that sort of thing, and that’s really beyond the scope of my knowledge. Sorry! :/
Hello,
My name is Susana and I am emailing you from IntotheMarketing Media Group S.L.
We are an online marketing agency and we offer our clients the creation of sponsored articles in newspapers, blogs and digital media in Spain, Latin America, Germany, France, United Kingdom, United States.
We have around 600 clients; those are related to different sectors such as the areas that you talk about in your web portal. In that case our client is Iberostar, which is a Spanish hotel chain and they have hotels all over the world. So I would to know what your price is to publish an article in your site.
We prepare the article that is written by journalists with up-to-date, original, relevant, exclusive subjects and they are texts with quality and different topics. We integrate the links naturally in the content to give the reader interesting ideas. If you don’t want to publish external content and, if you prefer, you can write the articles. Will you write the articles or us?
The subject of the articles will be tourism and travelling.
Plus, it would be important to know if you can issue an invoice.
I am looking forward to hearing from your answer. Like that, I will know if you are interested to close the economic conditions and thus we can start working with you as soon as possible.
I also give you my phone number, that is 666 658 693. In case you have any question, please don’t hesitate to write to me.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Tom and Sarah
Love your site and you’ve inspired my husband and me to book a trip to Japan to visit the Tokyo parks! We leave in May! One question I can’t seem to find a solid answer to is….if we can’t make 30-60 mins prior to park opening, will your recommended 1 day touring strategy still work? Or what should shift? We will be transferring to Hilton Tokyo Bay from our Tokyo hotel and I just don’t know if we’ll get to the parks in time for the 8am open….it’s stressing me out. Any advice? Or which park would be more forgiving for a later start? (We have 3 park days…) Thanks!
Tokyo DisneySea is more forgiving with a late start, so long as you don’t care about Toy Story Mania. Just pick up the 1-day plan a bit later in the day and go from there.
Excellent, thank you so much!!
