Have a question about planning a trip to Disney or something you’ve read here? Hopefully this blog can help! We’ve visited every Disney resort around the world, from Walt Disney World to Tokyo Disneyland, have stayed in nearly every Disney-owned hotel in the world, and have dined at the majority of Disney restaurants.
Presumably, most of you coming to this site are here for Walt Disney World or Disneyland trip planning advice. Common questions you have can probably be answered by posts we already have written that pertain to these topics and contain links to most critical vacation planning info.
If you’re trying to plan a Walt Disney World trip, visit our Walt Disney World Trip Planning Guide. If planning a Disneyland trip, check out our Disneyland Trip Planning Guide. If you look on the right-hand sidebar, you’ll also find links to other key planning-related posts. You can subscribe to our FREE email newsletter here.
If you have a media request, advertising, or marketing inquiry, please contact [email protected].
Sorry, but we do not respond to emails pertaining to planning. If you have questions pertaining to trip planning or other topics, leave your question in a relevant post or contact your travel agent. Unfortunately, we cannot respond to emails soliciting advice regarding Disney. Please understand that doing so would take several hours per day, consuming too much time better spent writing blog posts and planning resources for all.
If you need comprehensive or personalized trip planning advice and help booking your trip, we recommend contacting an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner (Disneyspeak for a travel agent). Try our sponsor, Be Our Guest Vacations.
We are just passionate Disney fans writing a blog about our experiences with advice based on those experiences. We are not affiliated with The Walt Disney Company nor is this an official Disney blog, so if you have questions or complaints about a booking with Disney or anything of that sort, you’ll want to contact Disney Guest Services for that.
Thanks,
Tom Bricker
Just want to tell you I love your photos of the Disney Parks, and the ease of having a Pinterest icon on them to easily send them to Pinterest boards. I have a “WDW” board on Pinterest, and it features many of your photos of Walt Disney World. Earlier this week, I spent a lot of time going through old articles searching for photos to pin. I don’t pin each and every photo, just particular favorites or ones covering subjects I feel were underrepresented on my board.
My family loves Disney World and have been several times so I like to look for new things to add to our trip each time. Mostly I am looking for the not so obvious things at each of the parks. For instance, we didn’t know about Merlin’s Apprentice cards in Magic Kingdom so we are going to give that a try this year. Also, we have met the Jawas in Hollywood Studios but didn’t know they would trade shiny junk with you…I am pretty sure they are not there anymore which is a bummer because my kids would get a kick out of that. We didn’t know about pick a pearl in Japan so we are going to try that this trip. What other not so well known ideas can you share? Really looking for something in Animal Kingdom. Thanks for all of your great Disney info!
I just wanted to thank you both for the tremendous job you are doing on all your posts. After going to WDW annually for 15 years my husband and I had finally arranged to go during the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot. We wanted to make the most of our time there, and we were able to do that thanks to all your incredible work. We were able to check out all the menus, and we read all your reviews, including all the individual booth reviews. You may not always feel like it’s worth it (I am in awe of the amount of work you do for these posts), but I can assure you that you were very helpful. We successfully navigated all the bewildering choices and were able to try most of what we wanted, without wasting money on ‘meh’ choices. I will be going back next September with a friend and am looking forward to reading your reviews next year!
As someone who struggles to construct a decent short email without obsessing over it for a half hour, I am amazed by the amount of articles you’re able to put up that are both fun to read and informative. Do you work a full time job? How many hours do you sleep?
All kidding aside, and I apologize for the invasive nature of these questions (which I have no expectation that you’d answer but my curiosity has the best of me), but between the work you do on upkeep of your blogs and various social media accounts and the time spent traveling, what’s left? You must have a superhuman work ethic! Your efforts are much appreciated and held in no small amount of awe.
I Just signed up w/my email for the newsletter and haven’t received a confirmation email for the newsletter or specifically the Christmas Book 2018/19.

Room already booked.Port Orleans Riverside. We are from Switzerland and so we stay a little longer than usual ( 3 weeks in july/august ). I will purchase for the whole family annual passes. I noticed that there are discounts for merchandising and restaurants. I found the restaurants .sadly only seated/ serving restaurants and no take aways or similar food stations.i don‘t like wasting time for meals. I am still looking for a list with the shops and stores for merchandise where i can buy discounted things with my annual pass. do you have some informations ? thank you in advance for your help.
We have reservations to the Plaza Restaurant and were wondering if you can order ice cream from the Plaza Ice Cream shop while in the restaurant.
Thanks for any help with this question.

Hi Tom: I’m sometimes not clear on which park you are referring to. Would you be able to send me a list clarifying each park? Growing up in California, I only know “Disneyland” which seems to be referred to under a few different names. Any clarity you can provide will help ME immensely. Thanks for taking the time. I’m taking my grandson to Disneyland for his 5th bday – it’ll be his first time! So I’ve been reading up on all your suggestions. Thanks again for keeping us informed on the Wonderful World of Disney!!

Dear Tom,
I saw your wonderful review on the Glendale Grand Central Air Terminal… How do I visit the place? Thanks.
Unfortunately, I don’t think they do public tours anymore.
We are visiting disney world dec 4 thru 12th. We want to buy the Christmas celebration tickets. When should we buy them?
Do they sell out?
Tom, Can you please investigate/help/comment/i.e. expose (!!)/write about the steep decline in Disney customer service experience in recent months? A girl can hope Disney feels the pressure of verified blogs like yours commenting on what is happening. Our family did Disney 4 years ago and our experience dealing with Disney on the phone was night and day to now. I had my call dropped yesterday (it felt intentional) 3 times, at the end of my call today (when I finally got through) I pressed to participate in the survey and there wasn’t even a survey provided (?!) they referred me to go online. I spent significant time customizing my family’s magicbands only to find out somehow half of them reverted to grey days before the order would be placed. The website for my personal itinerary is down about 50% of the time, and the chat option has been removed. What is happening at the happiest place on earth?? This is the worst possible way to go into a vacation that is supposed to be an escape from the pressures of our everyday life. This will probably be our final trip, honestly I’m just trying to get one last visit in before it declines anymore. It’s too sad for me, I have such great Disney memories and they are flat out ruining it for me. My customer service experiences on all our previous trips had been exceptionally good in the past. It was one thing I absolutely loved about Disney and a thing that helped me justify the enormous price tag. Bob Igar, this isn’t just “any” business you are running! My voice is too little, maybe you can help?
Hi Tom,
When you sent out your email to obtain a free disney stick family, sticker, I was really excited because we had gone to Disney with my Daughter and Son In Law at the end of February, and they let us know that we were going to be Grandparents. I was able to go through the options for the sticker and filled out the address to be sent to my daughter. I took a screen shot (thank goodness) but I ask my daughter if she had received the cling sticker in the mail, sadly the answer was no. Is there anyway that you can help me get the cling sticker?
Thank you so much, and Thank you for writing your blog!!!
ps i tried to submit a comment on the page that had the sticker info …but the link didn’t work

Hello Tom! I’m curious about Gluten Free options at the Food & Wine Festival 2018? I am wondering if you have any insights OR if you could add some of this information after your visit in September; as we will be there October. My daughter is celiac and I was wondering so we could try & plan ahead some of the stops at Epcot! Thank you!
Kristin
Hey Sarah and Tom. I posted in the forums and haven’t seen an updates from anyone. You guys seem very knowledgeable regarding overseas Disney Travel so I thought I’d message you directly. My friend and I want to visit Shanghai and Hong Kong around May of 2019. While overseas, we’d like to also have one day to see Beijing/ Great Wall. Do you have any touring plans to visit those parks/areas in one trip? Trying to determine the best way to travel/tackle all three in a couple of weeks. We’ve been to Disneyland Paris a couple of times and thats pretty easy. This seems more overwhelming to time out. Thoughts/suggestions? Thanks!
Hi Tom,
I know that you enjoy listening to Disney music. Do you know where I can find the music for the queue at Ariel’s Grotto. The piano music is very relaxing.
Hi Tom and Sarah. Firstly I just wanted to say how much I love reading your blog. I live in the UK and we are booking our next trip to WDW for next May. We are not DVC members but have always stayed at Saratoga Springs in a 2 bed apartment. Disney haven’t released these (its past the 330 day mark) and I wondered if you had heard of any reason why. Disney just keep saying they can’t guarantee they will be released. Looking at 2019 as a whole there is limited availability across Saratoga Springs.
