Hello Tom and Sarah!.
I’m going with my BF to Magic Kingdom next week and I would like to have a meal in Be our Guest Restaurant. We are staying outside Disney Resort and the only time available for a reservation is at 8:05am. I am not sure if outsiders can enter the park before to have breakfast reservation because I know this magic hours are only for inside guests. What do you know about it? Is it posible or I would have to find just a reservation between the park hours for outside guests?
Thanks for this blog, it is great, funny also and very useful tips!.
Tom,
here is an old 1972 restored in HD original walt Disney world promo video! Its a little long at 27 min, but figured you would appreciate this as a Disney fan!
HI Tom,
Great Blog !!! Love it !! I have a question. Do you have the free dining dates from spring of this year somewhere on your site? We are going next May and was trying to see when the historical dates were for that time of year.
Thanks,
Dana
You guys are awesome and funny! I can’t find a reliable list of WDW resorts/rooms…On site… That have patios or balconies. Can you help?! Thanks!!
Are you offering any ebooks on your photography tips
Brian
Hello- I saw that WDW is offering a one day memory make pkg for the Halloween party. Do you think that they will offer one for the Very Merry Mickey Christmas? I am attending the first one on Nov 8th.
I am coming in for the Wine n Dine 1/2 and debating purchasing the pkg. as I am only going to the Very Merry party outside of the 5k, party in the park and 1/2 marathon and not sure the $150 is worth it for only 1 day… I loved the pkg on our last trip bc we were there multiple days.
Any insight would be great
Thank you,
Dawn
Any insight
Hi Tom, could you please email me urgently regarding a shot I would like to purchase effective immediately. Many thanks, Rozalia
Done.
Hi tom and Sarah, I’m writing you because I have a question about renting dvc points. I’m so confused as to how it all works. We already booked our trip but want to Change to a moderate or deluxe and were considering using dvc points. Is it completely legit? Will they share my info? We’re paying $1800 for 8 nights at pop with 2, 6 day park hoppers( it’s just my boyfriend and I) . So is it even worth it. I go to Disney every year but it’s his first time and I just want everything to be perfect. Esp Bc the moderate and deluxe are more “adult friendly”. Thanks for listening.
P.s obsessed with your blog it’s awesome also you and Sarah are the cutest couple ever
Tom
What would you recommend for photography software. I know of Lightroom, but is there a specific version. I see so many options and am not sure what to choose.
Thanks
Matt
Hi Tom I love the blog it has helped me so much to plan for our up coming trip to Disney world. But one question I couldn’t find explained exactly. We are planning to take my wifes mom and niece (they are coming to visit us from Sweden) on a Disney outing in the dreaded month of December! This is the only time open for us due to their trip from Sweden. So my questions is, of the days I have available to me, which are December 20-30, which 2 days in a row would be the best option for us to visit magic kingdom and Hollywood studios? I was thinking December 28,29 since its a monday and after Christmas but before New Years. What are your thoughts? Thanks so much!!
Hi Tom, I found your website as we began planning our first trip to WDW. It has been immensely helpful. However, we are now about 7 weeks away from traveling and I cannot for the life of me get my head around the Memory Maker/Photo Pass thing. I get her they are different, but they are often used interchangeably and I am CONFUSED. $169 seems outrageous for the Memory Maker; I can’t imagine there would be more than 30 photos we’d want, if that. But I also don’t want to lug my dSLR all over WDW and my cellphone is very hit or miss in the picture department, despite its high megapixel count. It sounds like photographers take a lot of pics for you and you have the option to purchase, but are these hard copies or digital downloads? And are they $15 apiece as the Disney website seems to indicate? And is that available without the Memory Maker up charge? If I don’t cave and buy the MM (and I doubt I will because the cost of this trip is making my eyes water already) how much access do you have to pictures taken on rides and around the parks? Can you please explain this in the most simplistic way possible? I would be very grateful.
Hi Tom and Sarah,
I am in the process of planning our next trip and was wondering if you’d consider doing an article on the relative value of the “Quick Service” dining plan vs the regular dining plan. We’ve done the regular plan twice in the past and appreciate it for the prepaid aspect of it but we don’t like the way the ADR process makes a trip feel. We’re considering going down to the quick service option but at that point we might just be better off paying as we go. I’d be curious to hear your thoughts, since I know you’ve done some analysis on the best “bang for the buck” options at various dining plan locations.
Thanks,
-Brett.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I love your work! I have been reading you for a year and continually come across new, helpful information. Your site is my first stop whenever I have a question.
My family of 5 (two adults and three daughters aged 9,7,5) will be going to Disney World next summer. We will be staying in a Mariott timeshare next to the World Center for a week. We want to spend 4 nights before our timeshare starts at a Disney property to really get the “bubble” experience. We are considering using David’s Vacation Club Rentals to stay in either the Poly or the Wilderness Villas.
I was wondering if you have an existing post that addresses taking a trip with combined on and off site accommodations.
I feel like I am talking to a famous person and could ask a million more questions, but I will refrain!
Thanks!
Juan
No, I don’t have any such articles, but I think it would be pretty simple. I assume you’d have a car for the part of your stay off-site, but even if not, you could always take Uber from the airport to the Marriott, and then Uber from there to the Poly.
We often switch hotels at Walt Disney World, and it’s always a pretty smooth process. I wouldn’t worry too much. Have a great trip! 🙂
Hi Tom!
I love your site; I’m here all the time getting excited for my next trip. I remembered today that Tom had posted an instagram photo awhile back of Nara Dreamland but I never heard more about it. I understand why you may not want to post about it but I was just curious to know if you had gone in. I’d love to go next time I’m in Japan but I also don’t want to get arrested. Can you see the entrance or anything just from the public road?
Thanks!
Leslie
How do I subscribe to your blog?
Hi Tom 🙂
I’m a wedding photographer and not that well versed on long exposure photography .
I have seen some amazing photos that you have taken and some at 30 second exposures? Now I think I pull off some good fireworks photos for the forth of July – but Disneyworld fireworks are another animal .
So was wondering what iso setting are you using and any gradient filters too pull off a 30-40second exposure?
Love the pics !
Thanks Rick
Hi Tom,
I enjoy reading your blog through an RSS feed app on my phone, but for some reason I’ve been getting an error message on refresh since August 1. Did anything change with the website?
The layout of the blog changed. I’m not sure why that would break the RSS feed, though. Hmmm…
Do you have a url for a feed? The one I was using leads to a blank page.
Hi Tom,
Thanks for such comprehensive information on WDW.
I’ve a few questions and was wondering if you’d be able to help.
We’re a family of 4- 2A, 2C(4:G,11:B). We’ve planned our very first WDW trip for August 2015 and are travelling all the way from NZ.
We’ve managed to book a few ADRs. CRT, Akershus, Tusker, Chef Mickeys, Sci-Fi, Hollywood and Vine. It’s a mix of breakfast lunch and dinner.
We haven’t decided on a dining plan yet.
All of us are vegetarians, as in wed probably eat cheese, cake, muffins however wouldn’t eat any meat or eggy stuff. We understand that mist of the dining experience for us is just about characters and enjoying the ambience etc.
we have booked table for 4. So in regards to ordering food, do we need to order 4 starters, mains and 4 desserts? Or can we pick and choose? So say when we’re CRT, can we order 3 appetizers and 1 main? I’m not big eater, and neither is my 4 year old daughter! Are we allowed to share food?
I’m not sure how the dining works.
Would be great if you can help.
Thanks,
Megha
Tom- Seen the visual feast Cinderella? I hope you loved it.
Hi Tom
I will be going to Disneyland May27th-30th a few days after the 60th kicks off! I am going with my sister who hasn’t been in 13 years. I want to make this special and memorable for her, I thought about doing the world of color dining package, do you think it wou;d be worth it? Last year when my husband and I went during September it was very hard to get a good viewing location even with our fastpass (I like right on the fence in the wet zone) so I thought a dining package would be useful considering it will be a new show and all. Any tips or plan of attack to make this special for her? Im nervous about this trip with all the grad night kids at the park (neither of us are fans of teenagers) but only time she could go. I usually park hop but figured we could really take our time with each park and see every crook and cranny if we focvus on 1 park at a time. I thought the 27th after checking to our hotel we would head to Disneyland, get a few rides in, grab a bite to eat and then stake out our spots for the parade and Fireworlks. 28th DCA (wolrd of color package) 29th Disneyland and fantasmic. I want us to take our time and enjoy even with all those teenagers running around. Any tips would be appreciated!
