Disney World’s New Six Ravens Restaurant Sets Opening Date with Free Collectible

Over two months after soft opening, the new Six Ravens restaurant by Gideon’s Bakehouse will hold its grand opening this weekend at Walt Disney World! Here are full details for location, including the full menu of food & drinks, operating hours and the freebie that’ll be offered to the first guests on opening day.

As basic background, Six Ravens is located in Disney Springs at the Landing, taking over the former Art of Shaving. It’s a very small storefront, and is located steps away from the beloved bakery. Six Ravens is currently open daily from 10 am to 11:30 pm.

Six Ravens specializes in grab-and-go hand pies. Their signature creation, known as Coffyns, is a house‑made yeast‑roll stuffed with savory fillings that draw inspiration from Medieval European pastry cases. The original “coffyns” were designed to preserve hearty meals for long pilgrimages; at Disney Springs, they’re sure to be a delicious on-the-go snack.

Six Ravens is currently in soft opening mode, and has been since August 3rd. When the restaurant first opened, it had a lengthy line, virtual queue, and strict purchase limits. Within a couple weeks of soft opening, all of that had already died down. Gideon’s Bakehouse has since dethroned Six Ravens in terms of popularity.

To the best of my knowledge, the virtual queue that was being used early on at Six Ravens hasn’t been required in over a month. You might wait in a 15-30 minute line, but that’s about it at this point. At least, until crowds pick up at Disney Springs around the holidays and peak weeks. Or over the upcoming grand opening weekend…

Six Ravens will hold its grand opening on October 17, 2026 starting at 10 am.

Opening day guests will receive a collectible pin, free with any purchase, along with a “regal crown” that we assume will be of the ephemera variety, as opposed to gold. But you never know, as owner Steve Lewis does love to go all-out!

Here’s the announcement that Six Ravens posted on Instagram:

Step into the realm of Six Ravens this Saturday for our Grand Opening Congregation! All who gather will claim a handsome collectible pin, gifted freely with purchase. And for those of noble spirit, a regal crown awaits, ensuring your place among the kingdom’s elite.⁣
⁣
Mark your calendars for Saturday the 17th, when festivities commence at 10 am sharp. Treasures await early guests, but only while supplies last. Keep watch for more words to mark the day, but consider this your royal invitation to join the celebration, for together we shall Seek the Six!

Our expectation is that Six Ravens will be incredibly busy on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

For one thing, Walt Disney World fans love freebies. Especially pins, and probably paper crowns. Those giveaways guarantee that a few hundred (if not thousand) locals will turn out.

For another thing, Walt Disney World fans love to be first to do anything new or novel. Between that and the grand opening occurring on a weekend, it’s safe to say the turnout will be strong.

There’s also the matter of past precedent. We lived locally back when Gideon’s Bakehouse opened, and headed out to Disney Springs bright and early to rope drop its soft opening on December 23, 2020. Our Feat of Strength that day was waiting in the virtual queue, which ended up being modest as contrasted with the multi-hour waits Gideon’s would draw when it officially opened in early 2021.

Keep in mind, this was during the COVID era. Meaning the core demographic was locals, and they/we were waiting hours in line for a bakery that already had another location on the other side of town with only modest crowds!

There are enough Central Florida locals coupled with tourists who just so happen to be at Walt Disney World this coming weekend to descend upon Six Ravens, like a rave of ravens (a group of ravens is also, apparently, called a conspiracy–a term I like even more) on a deer carcass.

Suffice to say, sky-high demand for Six Ravens is highly likely on October 17, 2026. This restaurant is even smaller than Gideon’s Bakehouse, which will complicate crowd flow logistics. When I stopped by for the first time, only a few parties were allowed inside at the same time, and each transaction took about 5 minutes. You do the math on the hourly throughput of that.

We expect the virtual queue to be used once again, as is still the case sometimes at Gideon’s Bakehouse, to manage crowds and minimize the time guests spend waiting in a physical line. As guests show up, staffers will be on hand to place them in the queue on a first-come, first-served basis.

Before and after October 17th, lines and wait times will likely be more manageable. We’ve been at Disney Springs a few times since Six Ravens opened, aside from that first week or so, it hasn’t been bad at all. I waited about 20 minutes my first time at the restaurant, which was actually a shorter line than the one around the corner at Gideon’s Bakehouse!

Speaking of which, I should probably get around to writing my review of Six Ravens before the grand opening. (I’m like the rent-a-car in Seinfeld that’s good at taking but not holding the reservation. I eat but often fail to review the food; as a blogger, it’s really the reviewing that’s the most important part!)

Generally speaking, I enjoyed Six Ravens. It’s a bit of a mixed bag, but I’m not nearly as polarized on the location as many other fans. It seems like a lot of people either love or hate it, with opinions often (unsurprisingly) mirroring how people feel about Gideon’s (another polarizing spot).

Even as someone who absolutely adores Gideon’s Bakehouse, I don’t have a super strong opinion about Six Ravens. There’s good and bad to it. Regardless, I truly hope it’s a smash success, as Steve Lewis and his team are about the only third party doing immersive themed dining, and there are ways that these two concepts beat Disney at their own game. I’d highly recommend both Gideon’s and Six Ravens on that basis alone; it’s truly a fun and unique experience.

Ultimately, it’s good to see Six Ravens finally set a grand opening. Its debut was the most excited we had been for a new restaurant at Walt Disney World in a long time, and although it didn’t quite measure up to those lofty expectations, we nevertheless enjoyed our experience.

We’re looking forward to savory foods to offset the sweets, and collaborations with other Central Florida restaurants we love (and miss!). There’s a ton of potential here, and the savory snack scene at Walt Disney World has room for improvement. Here’s hoping that Steve Lewis and the Six Ravens team continue to iterate on the concept, and it’s worth remembering that Gideon’s Bakehouse was already well-established and honed when it was cloned to Disney Springs. By contrast, Six Ravens is new and novel, still finding its footing.
