If you got gift cards for Christmas and are looking for some post-holiday shopping season sales, this list has you covered with deals from Amazon’s New Year’s 2023 sale, including items with coupons, buy one get one half-off savings, and more. There are great Disney books, toys, household goods, and accessories, and more on this buying guide.
We’ve combed Amazon for deals, and what we’ve found is below. Note that some of these sales started shortly before Christmas, and we already highlighted them in our ‘very merry’ deal roundup. Thomas Kinkade 2023 Disney Calendar – Probably shouldn’t be surprising that a New Year’s sale has calendars on sale, as most people have purchased these for 2023 by now. Regardless, you can save 50% on this if you’re willing to get it late. (For us at least, there’s same day delivery–so you won’t even miss a single day of 2023!)
Disney A Year of Animation: 2023 Daily Calendar – This popular calendar is also 50% off, and it is a great way to celebrate 100 years of Walt Disney Animation Studios! This day-to-day calendar features all films from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to Turning Red, with a colorful image for each day from one of Disney and Pixar’s iconic feature films and shorts, accompanied by insider information, trivia, plot notes, or memorable quotes from the animated film. Perfect for Disney and Pixar fans of all ages, this tear-off calendar offers daily inspiration and beautiful imagery in a delightful package.
Baby Yoda Hallmark Ornament – Also unsurprising that annual Christmas ornaments are discounted for the New Year. This Hallmark design is 58% off.
Haunted Mansion Hitchhiking Ghosts Hallmark Ornament – This one is only 30% off, but it’s such a cool ornament of an iconic scene that I’ve gotta include it. (Although I’m guessing all of the WDW/DL fans and Hallmark collectors already bought this gem at full price before Christmas!)
Snowman Mickey Mouse by Jim Shore – Lots of fans collect these Jim Shore figures, and this is a good deal at 44% off. I’m not wild about the pattern on his stomach, but to each their own on that.
Lenox Minnie’s Dream Wedding Ornament – We have had this Christmas ornament since 2010. Good deal at 44% off for those who got married this year, or are planning to next! (This version is not dated, FWIW.)
Funko Pop! Disney Advent Calendar – At almost half off, this is a good buy now to save until December 2023.
Stemless Seasonal Mickey Mouse Glasses – This high quality glassware is 58% off as part of the New Year’s sale. Some might say that it’s “wintery enough” to keep using throughout the next month or two. Not that we’d do that ourselves or anything!
Mirabel Singing Doll – No clue why this is 52% off (the lowest price it’s ever been on Amazon), perhaps they ordered too many or it didn’t sell well. Regardless, cool for those who want a singing Mirabel doll that plays the accordion.
Raya Dragon Flower Light Up Necklace – Neat necklace for kids, or adults looking to make a statement while walking around Walt Disney World. 54% off.
Unofficial Disney Parks Cookbook – Despite its tremendous popularity, I’ve always overlooked this cookbook in favor of the official ones. However, it’s so cheap as part of the New Year’s 2023 sale that I’m finally going to see what all of the fuss is about. A perfect 5/5 score on 13,000 reviews gives me high expectations.
Unofficial EPCOT Cookbook – Same idea here, but with the newer EPCOT edition. 48% off seems like a good deal on a hardcover cookbook!

Villainous Disney Strategy Board Game – This game by Ravensburger has received rave reviews and won the prestigious ‘Game of the Year’ Award at the TOTY Awards. It’s made our past deal lists, but at 50% off with this promo, I think this is the cheapest we’ve ever seen it.
Villainous Star Wars Edition – Same idea, but with Star Wars.
Villainous Marvel Edition – Ditto.
Space Mountain Game: All Systems Go – A new release by Ravensburger last month (on Walt Disney World’s 51st Anniversary!), this board game features players racing rockets to see who can complete their missions and visit all 5 Starports first. Avoid cosmic events and keep an eye on your fuel levels to leave opponents in your space dust!
Haunted Mansion: Call of The Spirits Board Game – This is an excellent strategic game that’s easy enough for kids but also deep enough for adults. Our one warning here is that the instructions are a bit confusing, but there are several superior YouTube videos that break it down in easy-to-understand terms.
Thomas Kinkade The Disney Collection 4 in 1 Multipack Puzzles — 4 puzzles in 1 package, with 500 pieces per puzzle.
Thomas Kinkade 4 in 1 Puzzle – This is a different one from the Disney Dreams Collection, featuring Donald & Daisy Duck, 101 Dalmatians, Mickey, Minnie, & Pluto, & The Little Mermaid.
LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian Trouble on Tatooine Set – Kids can recreate scenes from Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 and play out their own speeder-bike-riding, missile-shooting battle stories with this Trouble on Tatooine building toy. Includes the Mandalorian and Tusken Raider LEGO minifigures, each with weapons for role-play battles, plus a LEGO figure of Baby Yoda (Grogu). There are lots of other LEGO sets for 18% to 25% off, including the Madrigal House from Encanto LEGO playset.
Baby Yoda Stuffed Character – Similar idea here. Not exactly a plush, this 11-inch Grogu toy has a soft body, plus a sturdy base filled with beans, perfect for cuddling or display as a collectible. Winner of a Toy of the Year Award.
Disney Coupons – There are a ton of products that currently have clippable coupons. You can search the selection here, and narrow by brand.
Searching for Disney limits it not to all Disney products, but for those listed as having Disney as a brand–which leaves off a lot of items. Those results are mostly socks, slippers, pajamas, and backpacks. And honestly, those deals aren’t even that great. (At least what we saw wasn’t.) However, there are some other items with coupons that are good deals…
A Portrait of Walt Disney World: 50 Years of The Most Magical Place on Earth – Our favorite Walt Disney World coffee table book ever. In style, structure, and quality, this is unrivaled. Truly the best thing to come out of the 50th Anniversary celebration, this covers everything from development to the evolution of Walt Disney World, with tons of rare photos and concept art. You can read our full review if you want, but the bottom line is that this is the best book about Walt Disney World.
Delicious Disney: Walt Disney World – This is a cookbook, with recipes for iconic dishes like the Grey Stuff, Tonga Toast, Kungaloosh, Ronto Wrap, Hollywood Brown Derby Grapefruit Cake, and Le Cellier Steakhouse Cheese Soup. However, it’s also so much more. You’ll also find rare restaurant concept art, history (my favorite is “Walt Loved Fried Chicken”), and old menu scans. (We don’t recommend this nearly as highly as the WDW 50th or Disneyland Taschen books, but it’s still solid!)
Walt Disney’s Disneyland — This is one of my favorite Disney books of all-time at a crazy-good price. Anyone who has owned or even held a TASCHEN book knows why this is something special. Not as cheap as it was for the holiday shopping season sales, so consider waiting if you don’t “need” it ASAP.
Disney Parks Little Golden Book Library (Disney Classic) – This box set includes 5 individual Little Golden Books: It’s a Small World, The Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, The Orange Bird, Space Mountain. Here are other recommended titles, most of which also have their own discounts:

While we definitely aren’t the target audience for the stories, we absolutely adore the art and style–they’re great for anyone with kids, theme park fans, or anyone who was a kid and has fond memories of Little Golden Book. Give them a browse if you don’t believe us!

Princess Activity Tote – Also pretty far from my area of expertise, but this playset looks fun and is another cheap gift option. 50% off.
