Disney World Drops 2026 Bounceback Deal Dates & Details: Kids Free Dining, Modifying & More!
Bounceback deal dates have been announced for 2026 Walt Disney World vacations! These special offers are the best way to book discounts over a year in advance and typically have the biggest, earliest & easiest savings. This shares dates & details, including Kids Free Dining in 2026, making & modifying placeholder bookings, whether bouncebacks are still best & more!
Now officially referred to as “Future Stay Offers” by Walt Disney World, bounce-back discounts are only available to current travelers staying at one of Walt Disney World’s resort hotels. These were once available only during stays, but that has changed in the last couple of years. Now you can call up to a week after check-out from your Walt Disney World resort.
Bounceback offers are typically the best way to book popular discounts, but they can be confusing, elusive, and deceptively complicated–all adding to their mystique and popularity. For 2026, bouncebacks are once again a room-only offer of 25% to 35% off, making them on par with the best targeted deals of the year…but without needing an Annual Pass, Disney Visa, Disney+ sub, Florida residency, etc. We’ll cover more of the ins and outs later in the post, but let’s start with the news about the return of bounceback offers at Walt Disney World…

The 2026 Future Stay Offer will be shared with guests through in-room collateral and on their in-room TVs. Additionally, details of this offer will be emailed directly to Guests on the morning of checkout from their Walt Disney World resort hotel.
Additionally, Walt Disney World’s 2025-2026 Bounceback Deal is available for guests to book online via a link they (allegedly) receive in the email on the morning of checkout. (Allegedly because I’ve never received this email, despite several stays since this feature launched.)
You can also contact a fee-free Authorized Disney Travel Planner, or travel agent and have them book the Bounceback Deal for you. Again, this requires that you’re eligible–but does not require that you received the email, in-room flier, or even that you previously used a travel agent to book your current stay. Having a travel agent do the work for you is far and away the easiest option (and we highly recommend this for a number of reasons)–you can stop reading now if you elect to go that route.
Here’s the key need-to-know info about bounceback deals at Walt Disney World for 2025 and 2026:
Emails are inconsistent – Since this feature rolled out last November, some readers have reported the emails arriving immediately at checkout and others not at all. Despite over almost a dozen different stays in that time, I have never (not once) received an email about future stay offers. I always get the guest folio on checkout day, so I’m not sure what’s up with the lack of bounceback offers. (Email being hit or miss is pretty typical for Walt Disney World communications, but still–why one and not the other?)
Eligibility to book bouncebacks is NOT dependent upon receiving the email – When you call to book, the reservations center Cast Member will be able to confirm whether or not you’re eligible by looking up your past reservation. (The corollary to this is it also means that receiving a forwarded bounceback email with no accompanying completed stay won’t do anything for you!)
You have 7 days from checkout to book online or by phone – Rather than hassling with this while on vacation from the in-room phone, call 407-934-7639 after departing. You have a full week from checkout to book by phone or online, so no need to bother while you’re still on vacation at Walt Disney World.
Each adult on the original reservation can book bounceback offers – You can also book multiple future stays from one original reservation, meaning that one stay this year could become several discounted stays next year.
Availability is limited – The “rarer” the room category (e.g. suites), more popular the resort, or busier your dates, the less likely you are to have success. Deluxe Villas always have few options because the reservations center doesn’t control much of the inventory at DVC resorts. However, the options are still far better for this than the average deal.
Your current stay has no bearing on your future stay offer – You could do a 1-night DVC point rental this year and use that to book several week-long bounceback offers at Grand Floridian for 2026. It does not matter how you booked your stay, at which resort, etc–your current reservation could be the $99/night Disney+ deal and you could use that to book a bounceback for a multi-thousand dollar Deluxe Resort. Doesn’t matter.
Modifying is possible – Not sure of your plans yet? Don’t worry! Modify or cancel reservations without penalty up to 30 days prior to arrival. This means that you can essentially book a placeholder 2026 Walt Disney World vacation for random travel dates, and then use that as the foundation for your actual trip by virtue of modifying the reservation.
This should work with dates that have yet to be released, such as November and December 2026. (Expect to see very similar eligibility dates–likely November 29 to December 23/24, 2026.) This is huge for peace of mind.
Bouncebacks Are Eligible for Kids’ Free Dining – Guests staying at one of Walt Disney World’s more than 25 on-site resort hotels will get a FREE Disney Dining Plan for their kids (ages 3 to 9 at the time of travel) when purchasing a Disney Dining Plan as part of their package for the other members of their party (ages 10 and up at the time of travel).
From the original announcement: “The Kids Free Dining Plan at Walt Disney World deal can be combined with other select special offers, meaning you may still be eligible to take advantage of other deals rolled out for 2026.” Well, we now know that bouncebacks are one such “select special offers,” which strongly suggests that all room-only discounts will be eligible for the Kids’ Free Dining Deal. That’s huge. See Kids Eat FREE All Year in 2026 at Walt Disney World for more info.
That’s everything we know about bouncebacks that feels worth sharing, but it’s possible we’re overlooking details that you might find important, so feel free to ask any questions you might have in the comments–we’ll answer to the best of our knowledge and experience.
All is that this works pretty much identically to bounceback offers pre-closure. The only material changes are the email at checkout (that, again, I’ve never received) and being able to call after departing Walt Disney World. Those are two big tweaks that are material improvements to the Future Stay Offers.
As always, the biggest barrier to booking bounceback offers is knowledge. Once you have that–and you will after reading this–then bounceback offers are without a doubt the easiest and most hassle-free way to book popular discounts.
Are Bouncebacks Still Best?
We’re entering a brave new era of deals. In just the last couple of months, Walt Disney World has gotten really aggressive with discounts, the result of which is the lowest prices for Walt Disney World vacations in over 6 years! (See How to Get the Cheapest Walt Disney World Trip Since 2019.)
In fact, when Walt Disney World released new Summer 2025 resort room-only discounts for Disney+ subscribers offering rooms as low as $99 per night, some readers commented that this deal was better than their previously-booked bounceback. They’re right. That deal offers discounts of approximately 45% to 55% off, which far surpasses the Future Stay Offer for this summer.
However, it’s worth emphasizing that this is the first special offer that clearly and unequivocally beats the bounceback. At least, for summer travel dates at select resorts that are widely available. Prior to this, the best general public offer was the ‘stay longer & save more‘ discount.
As the name suggests, that requires a longer stay (at least 5 nights) in order to “unlock” the final 5% off. And even then, it falls short of the bounceback at most resorts. There are a few that are equal (All Star Sports and Coronado Springs being the biggest examples), but none that are better.
With that said, there can be better options that bouncebacks. Florida resident deals sometimes match bouncebacks, and exceed them on rare occasions. Annual Passholder discounts almost always at least match bouncebacks, and often are better (peaking at 40% off as opposed to 35% off).
Of course, that requires living in Florida or purchasing an Annual Pass. For the general public, the best option is renting DVC points, which is usually the biggest money-saver of all. This is often overwhelming to the uninitiated, so we strongly recommend reading our Money-Saving Tips for Renting Disney Vacation Club Points. It’s a lot easier than you think!
Obviously, all of the above options are not the same as general public or wide discounts (and we’ll include Disney+ deals here since there’s minimal barrier to entry). It’s very rare for regular special offers to surpass bouncebacks. The biggest exception to that is if you’re better served by one of the various dining deals (e.g. Free Dining or Free Dining Gift Cards) by virtue of having a larger party size.
This could always change! That $99/night Disney+ offer could become the new normal, with general public rates routinely hitting or eclipsing 40% off. It’s also possible that Walt Disney World could introduce more ‘marquee’ special offers, such as the old ‘Buy 4 Nights, Get 3 Free’ deal.
While possible, I’m skeptical this will happen that. What wouldn’t be surprising is more special offers like this for Summer 2026 and the off-season months of August and September. As we’ve discussed elsewhere at length, summer stopped being the peak season a while ago as winter has grown in popularity. Yet somehow, Walt Disney World pricing hasn’t caught up to that new normal.
The most likely scenario is that discounts are used to bridge the gap on rack rates, with May through September seeing superior savings and winter receiving worse discounts (especially January and February, the cheapest but highest occupancy months of the entire year). In short, we fully expect the bounceback to beat general public discounts for at least 7 months of the year, but there is the possibility that Summer 2026 once again sees aggressive discounts.
Even so, it doesn’t hurt to book a bounceback deal now and then monitor your reservation for superior savings in the future. You can always apply a different discount to your reservation, but you cannot go back in time and book a deal you passed over when nothing better is offered. There’s little doubt in my mind that the bounceback will end up being best for January through April 2026, October 2026, and November through December 2026 (once those dates are added).
Ultimately, booking a bounceback offer within a week of your current stay should be a no-brainer if you plan on returning to Walt Disney World in 2026, or are even thinking about it. Even if you don’t know when you want to visit or if this will end up being the best special offer for you, it makes sense to book something just to get a reservation in the system. You can always modify or cancel later–you cannot go back in time and book this once the 7-day window closes.
Hopefully, we’ve broken these discounts down in a way that makes sense and clarifies the who/how/when/etc. of Walt Disney World Future Stay Offers. We are huge fans of these deals, as they take a lot of the stress out of booking discounts–namely, the waiting and hoping there’s availability for your travel dates and resort. If you get the chance, we’d recommend booking the Bounceback or Future Stay Offer as a safety net when you visit Walt Disney World.

Hi there! Thanks so much for all of the wonderful information. I have a question! When booking a Bounce Back offer, within the 7 day time frame for my next stay at Disney, and I decide I need to change the Bounce Back dates, can you move the dates into the next year or is there a time frame on how long the Bounce Back offer is eligible? Many thanks and have a magical day:)
Hi Tom,
Thanks for all your info. Question—we just booked a bounce back after staying at Caribbean Beach. We are going back next summer. I booked the room at the discounted rate and picked our theme park tickets. Hypothetically, if Disney were to offer a ticket discount in the coming months that coincided with our stay, could I cancel the theme park tickets that I booked with the bounce back, but keep the room and then book a separate ticket—essentially having a discounted ticket and a discounted room?
This is a question that I am also wondering! Are you allowed to modify a bounceback package with tickets into a resort stay without tickets?
Tom, love your updates, they keep me in the loop! Thank you so much! We are actually staying this Nov at AKL with a bounce back offer from a trip we took this past March. I have 2 questions…first will I be eligible again for a bounce back offer on the trip in Nov and if I am, can I book 2 rooms with the bounce back offer for the same future stay? Such as book 2 suite rooms at AOA. Also, wondering if anyone has actually booked a bounce back offer yet and gotten the Free Kids Dining deal along with it, just to be sure it is eligible.
I can’t confirm with 100% certainty since I haven’t booked a 2026 bounceback yet, but the answer to both questions per what Walt Disney World has released is yes!
Maybe you’ll be able to book all of that online, but I wouldn’t be surprised if you have to call in order to make it work, FWIW.
So sad that moderate suites aren’t included! The Coronado Tower Deluxe Suite has been our family’s hidden gem for awhile — 1.5 baths, a full living room, plus club level for prices that rival a typical DVC 1 bedroom villa. And if you get a high enough room with a lake view, you can see Magic Kingdom fireworks from your room. We’ve used a bounceback offer for this room type 2 years in a row and been very pleased. We’ll have to see if future offers also disclude these room types.
hello. we just purchased AP first time. now wanna use. have a dec stay and disney cruise booked. want to stay first part of Feb 2026 see bounceback dates available. worried when we go December all rooms on bounceback at boardwalk gone. question. can I book a 1nitestay at all stars for next week. check in and out without actually being there? we live out of state. thought we then could get bounceback Feb trip no problem. thank you for help
I’ve been wondering the same thing! Is it possible to just book one night at a value resort when I can’t actually show up, just to get the bounce back offer which would save me a lot more than the cost of the one night I don’t use. Or is this idea too good to be true?
We booked a bounce back offer last October for the week of October 2025 at wilderness lodge. It has been by far the best discount for us so far as we are an old couple celebrating our yearly anniversary. It will be nice to just take the boat back from the mk this year and not have to deal with the buses.
How does this work if my future stay overlaps the eligible offer dates but isn’t completely inside the dates. Do I just get a discount for the eligible dates and the other nights of my trip are rack rate? For example- if I’m planning on using my bounceback offer to book a stay 2/27-3/7 2026- but bounceback is only eligible for dates 3/3 and later. Hopefully 3/3-3/7 would be discounted for me?
Thank you for your quick response. I learn so much from your newsletter. I had no idea half of these deals even exist existed without the help of you. I guess my question is do I have to stay in the same month as my vacation this year if I book a bounce back deal within the seven days of checking out or can it be any month next year that is offering a bounce back deal? Also same hotel or a different one that’s included on your posted list?
Any month next year, any hotel. This year’s stay has zero bearing on 2026–it just makes you eligible.
Sad that the first week of Feb isn’t on the list! Hoping for a good Disney visa or general discount for that week I guess.
We have reservations for that week too. We are going Jan30-Feb 8. We are also hoping for some deals for our vacation. I have family that lives 45 minutes from DL. When we visit them (from WI) they always take us. So I am planning for them to come with us to DW. There first trip. 7 families! We are so excited. Trying to book for that many people I am anxiously watching for any discounts.
I REALLY appreciated your email alert I received yesterday about the dates released being extended to 2026. We checked out of the Poly 7 days ago yesterday and I had only seen 2025 dates until yesterday. I didn’t know I could alter a 2025 Bounceback reservation to 2026 dates once those dates were released, so I hadn’t reserved. Yesterday, I was able to book for Sept 2026 and plan to modify to November 2026 when those dates become available. I got 35% off a Beach Club and Grand Floridian split stay.
I did not receive an email from Disney about the BB and I did not receive promotional info in our room. I only knew I’d have those 7 days to book the BB from a previous stay. It was very easy to book online, the offer was evident when booking. The offer disappeared today, 8 days after checkout.
Thank you for the alert!
You’re welcome–thanks for sharing your experience!
Thanks for posting Dana! I think your post answers my question, although I still wonder if there are any limitations on how many times you can delay your trip. I don’t think we will be going on another family trip to Disney until at least 2027 (assuming Tropical Americas opens then) but I was considering whether I could do a “research trip” myself for one night with a super cheap flights, which would work out practically for free if I can save more money with a bounceback deal than the cost of my trip 😉
I’m a little confused on the bounce back deals. I’m booking for this October 20-28. So after I check out, I have seven days to call back to book something for the following year at a discounted rate. Sorry for the silly questions. I’m just a bit confused? I don’t think they have any current offers for this date in October so does that mean there’s nothing being offered for the bounce back deal for next time I come back?
I know it’s odd that this is how it works–with October 2026 bouncebacks coming out *before* October 2025 general public deals–but the latter will be released soon. I’m guessing within the next month. So you *should* be able to take advantage of a discount this year, too (subject to availability, etc).
You’ll have 7 days to book this bounceback deal for 2026 after checking out of your October 2025 stay.
Hi Tom! Can you explain if there is a timeframe in which you have to have your future stay? And then are there limitations on how far out you can push it out by modifying your booking? E.g., say I were to go to DW in July 2025 and booked a October 2026 future stay, could I later modify that reservation multiple times to push that reservation into 2027? Thanks so much!
Is it likely they will add more Bounce Back dates for 2026 at some point? Specifically for November and December? We love going the first week of December (we are going again this year on a bounce back which led to an AMAZING deal at BC) and right now it doesn’t appear they are offering anything for those months.
If I plan to go March 2nd – March 8th and want to use a bounceback offer would it still work, even though I would arrive a day before the start date of March 3rd?
I have a reservation already booked for April 2026. Does this mean I can call Customer Service and see if I qualify for bounce-back deal? Last time we went was April 2024.
In order to take advantage of the discount, you need to make a future reservation within 7 days of checking out from. your past stay.
Thank you for all the information you provide Tom! We based our vacation last December on your recommendations and it was great!
We will be staying in property this summer and thinking of doing Disney Land for the first time next year. Any chance you can use the bounce-back deal for hotels in Disney Land?
Thank you!
Unfortunately, you cannot.
Disneyland does offer hotel discounts, but they’re usually on shorter notice and sometimes just available to Annual Passholders or Disney Visa cardholders. Right now, there is a general public offer–and I’d expect that to be fairly normal going forward.
Tom-do the dates listed mean if you have a current reservation on those dates you’re eligible for future stay offer or do they mean anyone with current reservations can have a future stay offer and those are the dates available for future stays? This is the first time I might be able to do it so I don’t fully understand
Current stay dates are irrelevant. Those are the eligible discounted travel dates for future bookings.
So let’s say you have an upcoming stay on July 4, 2025–you could book a bounceback discount for travel dates of October 26 to 31, 2026 (or any of the other eligible 2025-2026 dates on the list).
Hope that clears things up!
Thanks Tom for all this information. I seriously plan my whole vacation based on your recommendations and reviews . Another change that would be great for bounce back would be to allow people to see on the website what’s available and to be able to modify reservations on the app. I hate having to call every time and speak to someone if I’m looking to change my reservations. Maybe someday
You can do this online! You don’t have to call. After you check out, you can go to the special offers page when you are logged into your account and it’ll say something like “return to the magic.” You can also try to apply it to any other existing reservations you have!
Thanks, I had read about that . My issue is the times I had to flex my dates after I already had a bounce back reservation. I had to keep calling and asking for availability . I felt like I drove the cast members nuts lol. I’m hoping that you can modify a current bounce back reservation on the Disney website like the other specials they have.
Thanks Tom for the all of the information provided here and in your other articles. Your information has been instrumental in helping me plan my last few Disney trips with my family!
Can bounce back offers be combined with a special ticket offer? For example, would it make sense to book with a bounce back offer with zero park tickets in the hopes that a ticket offer such as kids 50% off or the three day park ticket is offered again down the road?
Thanks again for all of the valuable knowledge.
Good question! Bouncebacks are room-only discounts, which opens the door to stacking them with ticket deals–should those be offered. That means the FL resident deals, 3-Park Magic Ticket, 50% off Kids, etc., are all eligible to pair with these. Obviously, we don’t yet know what’ll be offered for 2026, but I would expect something.
Whenever I have looked into renting DVC points, I see a lot of single nights, a moderate amount of two nights and a few three nights. I’ve never seen anything more than 3 nights available. Is this typical, or am I missing something? I like to stay at WDW for an entire week and I hate moving resorts.
I’m guessing that you’re looking at confirmed reservations, which are a mix of speculative reservations and unsold inventory. For longer consecutive stays (as well as the best pricing, typically), you need to actually request a quote from one of the companies. But for longer stays at more popular resorts, you really need to do that over 7 months in advance.
I have looked at 7 months out and a bit further. I was looking at David’s Vacation Club Rentals and other, similar sites. I will look into getting a quote. Thank you.
