Buena Vista Street Photos
Buena Vista Street is a new land at Disney California Adventure; think of it a companion land to Main Street USA in Disneyland, except set in 1920s Los Angeles. The Red Car Trolleys, Citizens of Buena Vista Street (Streetmosphere entertainers), 5 & Dime, and Red Car News Boys help give Buena Vista Street a lively “Disney” atmosphere. At the end of Buena Vista Street is Carthay Circle Theatre, which premiered Walt Disney’s Snow White in 1937, and houses a fine dining restaurant and two lounges. Carthay Circle Restaurant is now one of our favorite Disney restaurants in the world. Along the street itself are several shops and restaurants, including the very first Starbucks in a Disney theme park.
Buena Vista Street is an incredibly detailed and well-themed land and opening act to the new Disney California Adventure, and is a stark contrast to its predecessor, Sunshine Plaza. While Buena Vista Street may not be receiving the same attention that the other new Disney California Adventure land, Cars Land, is receiving, it’s really a great addition to the park!

Your Thoughts…

I have been to the World multiple times and right now for us, it has that beentheredonethat feel. I never thought I wanted to “waste my time” with DL, but your photos really make me want to go there RIGHT NOW!!!
Tom – these photos are all gorgeous! I have to put DCL and DL on my wish list for 2013. Thanks for sharing.
Disneyland is amazing right now. Everyone needs to plan a visit (just not when we’re going–we don’t want more crowds!) 😉
Nice! Thanks for capturing so much of the detailed theming!
It’s funny…even though I captured a decent amount, I missed SO MUCH.
Wow ! I’m so jalous !! Great shots.
Tom, your shot of Bob Iger riding in on the Red Car Trolly, is the first pic I can remember of a genuine (non-corporate)smile on his face. Nice work!
Bob Iger seemed generally warm and easy-going when I saw him on a number of non-staged occasions throughout the week and weekend. I think he gets a bad rep because he often seems cold and robotic when speaking.
FANTASTIC photos. After seeing them I feel like I haven’t even been there because I’ve missed so much wonderful detail.
I missed a lot, too! Looks like it’s time to head back!!! 🙂
