Sam Eagle Popcorn Bucket, Hoop-Dee-Doo Mug & America 250th Foods Coming to Disney World

Walt Disney World has shared full menus of the distinctly patriotic dishes, desserts, and drinks coming to the parks & resorts in Summer 2026 for the America 250th celebration, highlighted by a Sam Eagle popcorn bucket and Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue Mug, along with plenty of red, white and blue dishes & desserts. Here’s a rundown of the snacks for the United States Semiquincentennial.

In case you missed it, these snacks are part of the “Disney Celebrates America” campaign, which is the company-wide once-in-a-lifetime celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the United States. The Semiquincentennial event started on Veterans Day 2025 and continues through the Fourth of July 2026 weekend to honor America’s past, celebrate the present, and inspire its future.

Just last week, Disney revealed the Full Lineup Revealed for “Disney Celebrates America” at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disneyland & Beyond! There’s a decent amount happening, albeit mostly confined to July 3-5, 2026. The good news, if you’re visiting earlier or later in Summer 2026, is that “Disney Celebrates America” merchandise is already available, and so too will be food very soon!

Let’s start with the main event, which is a distinctly patriotic mix of merchandise and food: the Sam Eagle Popcorn Bucket.

This features the regal eagle wearing a stars-and-stripes top hat, perched at a podium adorned with patriotic bunting. He holds his left (uhhh???) wing over his heart and if you zoom in closely, he might just be shedding a single tear for the Semiquincentennial. The Sam Eagle Popcorn Bucket features a detachable strap, patterned with stars and stripes and the Disney Parks logo.

Here’s a look at the Sam Eagle Popcorn Bucket in all of its distinctly patriotic gloriousness:

Curiously, there is no release date for the Sam Eagle Popcorn Bucket at Walt Disney World, even as Independence Day approaches. We also don’t have exact locations yet, but we do know that there will be a limit of two per person, while supplies last.

The Sam Eagle Popcorn Bucket will be available starting June 30, 2026 at Disneyland Resort. It was originally supposed to be released last month, but that was quietly delayed. It wouldn’t surprise us if there are sourcing issues that are impacting both coasts, and a release at Disneyland is being prioritized.

Maybe Sam Eagle is stuck in the Strait of Hormuz. Heck, maybe he’s the one doing the blockading. Joking aside, I wouldn’t be surprised if this actually is stuck on a container ship due to routine port congestion in Los Angeles/Long Beach.

The other novelty highlight of Disney Celebrates America is the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue Mug, which is available with a choice of alcoholic beverage, while supplies last. This mug will be sold starting June 15, 2026.

Although these are being lumped in with the Disney Celebrates America stuff, I assume this is actually unrelated and is just being included because Hoop-Dee-Doo feels patriotic-adjacent. Regardless, we are suckers for stuff like this; I hope it’s still sold next time we do Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue.

One thing I wish Walt Disney World were selling along these lines is a new Liberty Tree Tavern mug like the classic ones with the Spirit of 1776/America on Parade graphic. Way back in 2007, we bought a pair of these for $5 each at the restaurant, and we still have them. (Look them up on eBay if you’re curious to see the designs…or purchase a pair for yourself!) While we’re at it, bring back the character meal at Liberty Tree Tavern. Now that was distinctly patriotic!

Another highlight of the summer menus at Walt Disney World is the S’morin’ Across America Milk Shake: S’mores milk shake, toasted marshmallow, graham cracker, and Soarin’ hang glider.

This is already available at Sunshine Seasons in the Land pavilion at EPCOT.

Also in EPCOT, there’s the Sam Eagle Star-Spangled Short: Vanilla cake with strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, whipped cream, star sprinkles, and a Sam Eagle chocolate coin.

This will be sold at Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue starting June 15, 2026.

Meanwhile at Magic Kingdom, there’s the Berry Shortcake: Shortcake topped with mixed berries, whipped cream, and patriotic sprinkles. This will be served at Columbia Harbour House starting June 15, 2026.

At nearby Sleepy Hollow, there are Red, White, and Blue Funnel Cakes, Waffles, and Slushies. These look ordinary.

Another somewhat unique dessert, at least in appearance, is the Red Velvet Riveter: Red velvet cake with fudge filling topped with cream cheese icing, ginger streusel, star sprinkles, and a chocolate piece.

This is already available at Rosie’s All-American Cafe in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Walt Disney World fans love Mickey Cinnamon Rolls, and this Red, White & Blue one is available at the following locations:

  • Carousel Coffee at Disney’s BoardWalk
  • Le Petit Cafe at Disney’s Riviera Resort
  • Primo Piatto at Disney’s Riviera Resort
  • Barcelona Lounge at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
  • The Mara at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
  • Trail’s End Restaurant at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
  • The Market at Ale & Compass at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
  • Beach Club Marketplace at Disney’s Beach Club Resort
  • Contempo Cafe at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
  • The Artist’s Palette at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
  • Good’s Food to Go at Disney’s Old Key West

It’s a similar story with the Red, White, and Blue Cake Pop, which is blueberry and vanilla swirl cheesecake, and is available at the following locations:

  • Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
  • Roaring Fork at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
  • Primo Piatto at Disney’s Riviera Resort
  • The Mara at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
  • Trail’s End Restaurant at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
  • Everything POP Shopping & Dining at Disney’s Pop Century Resort
  • Riverside Mill Food Court at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
  • Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter
  • Artist’s Palette at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
  • Good’s Food to Go at Disney’s Old Key West Resort
  • End Zone Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
  • Intermission Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
  • World Premiere Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
  • Landscape of Flavors at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
  • Centertown Market at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

If you want a full rundown of the desserts, check out the Food Guide to Disney Parks Celebrates America. Almost all of the remaining items follow the formula of taking a normal food item, and adding red, white, and blue. Disney must’ve gotten a bulk discount on food coloring.

None of this is interesting to me, and it all feels fairly phoned-in. Lots of items loaded with sugar, artificial colors and flavors–so check, check, and check on being distinctly American dishes.

What I would’ve loved to see are absolute culinary abominations to celebrate America. A burger the size of my head, stuffed with hot dogs, potato chips, and seventeen types of cheeses. A kitchen sink nacho sundae. The kinds of nonsense that would send a shiver down the spine of my doctor. Now that is the essence of American cuisine!

Disney Celebrates America Details

Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort will celebrate coast-to-coast, anchored by the Summer 2026 opening of Soarin’ Across America (now taking flight at EPCOT; opening July 2, 2026 at Disneyland), which is a must-do in our view.

“Disney Celebrates America” will culminate over the weekend of July 4, 2026 with a 24-hour, multi-platform broadcast that highlights the United States Semiquincentennial events nationwide across Disney’s linear networks and streaming platforms, including Disney+, Hulu, ABC, Disney Channel, ESPN, etc., ending with a special evening fireworks broadcast from Walt Disney World and Disneyland.

That fireworks show on the broadcast will be “Disney’s Celebrate America! — A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky.” As part of the United States Semiquincentennial celebration, that’ll play across all three nights of the holiday weekend, July 3-5, 2026, at both Disneyland and Magic Kingdom. The “Heartbeat of Freedom” tag will be shown after Luminous those same dates at EPCOT.

The celebration will continue across Walt Disney World with patriotic lighting on Spaceship Earth, special performances from Voices of Liberty and the beloved Electrical Water Pageant. Walt Disney World will also feature themed décor along Main Street, U.S.A., character experiences, and limited-time merchandise, food, and beverage offerings throughout the resort.

Additional activities include flag retreat ceremonies, performances by the Dapper Dans and Main Street Philharmonic, an extended run of the Portraits of Courage exhibit honoring post-9/11 veterans through Fourth of July weekend, and more. Fans can head to Disney Springs for festive décor, plus special performances from the United States Air Force Band of the West.

  1. Those Hoo-de-do mugs look like they’re made of tin. Hope so as they are great for running back and forth across your cell bars to get the guards attention.

YES! Liberty Tree Tavern had a few really great looking 1976 tavern mugs which I bought on eBay because when some useless souvenir trinket doo hickey is for sale, and I want to get it, Carolyn will ask something stupid like, “Where are we going to put it.” and, “Do you really need another (fill in the blank)?” Then a year later I realize I DO NEED THAT FILL IN THE BLANK! and I pay triple to some eBay pirate.

BUT sometimes I buy it the first time I see it. Which is why I have the absurdly large Nautilus drinking glass, cup, mug whatever it is, the size of a clowns shoe, sitting in a huge rectangular box downstairs in my computer/work room along with a myriad number of odd shaped boxes filled with long forgotten thing-a-ma-jigs.

    1. No end dates for anything. My guess is that the Sam Eagle bucket will sell out fairly fast, and the treats will last until early August. Then it’s on to Halloween!

Since the Hoop-Dee-Doo mug appears to be its own thing, I assume that’ll stick around for longer. Hopefully until 2027!
