Early Black Friday Disney Gift Card Deal at Target!
Black Friday and Cyber Monday are still about two weeks away, but the holiday shopping season sales are already underway! We’ve already seen a couple of hot deals on Disney gift cards, and now there’s a new one at Target that started today and lasts through next Sunday! This covers details of the savings, along with what else to expect from future discounts this month and in December 2025.

It includes everything from straightforward savings to sales and more complicated ways to stack savings (e.g. cashback sites, credit card bonuses, etc). This post is shorter and sweeter, focusing on the current special offer at Target from November 16th through November 22, 2025.
This actually isn’t the first early Black Friday sale on Disney gift cards. We saw one at the end of last month and another that ended just last week.
The most recent deal prior to this was at Sam’s Club, which offered members the chance to purchase up to four $200 Disney e-gift cards for $180 each, which is a discount of 10% off. That early doorbuster was scheduled to last only 3 days; I’m not sure whether it sold out early, as is often the case, as we were at Walt Disney World.
We mention this as a benchmark, because 10% off is considered a pretty good deal on Disney gift cards–even if gated behind a membership at one of the club stores. We usually jump on discounts offering that degree of savings, especially since virtually every Disney gift card deal has limits. (At the risk of stating the obvious, it’s very easy to spend $800 at Walt Disney World. Our per-day cost of this trip was more than that!)
Usually, the best sales start happen between mid-November and early December. We’re now in that sweet spot, so it’s safe to expect more deals–probably at Costco and Best Buy in addition to Target if past precedent is any indication–in the next two weeks. For now, here are the details about Target Circle gift card sale…
Get a free Target $10 eGift card automatically when you add eligible gift cards of at least $100 in total value from the promotional page. You can also purchase the eligible gift cards in-store or via online order pick-up.

Reminder: Don’t Buy Disney+ Gift Cards
Be careful NOT to purchase the Disney+ gift card by accident. Disney+ Gift Cards are only valid for the Disney+ streaming service and cannot be used towards purchases at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, or literally anywhere else. By contrast, Disney gift cards can be used pretty much everywhere, including on the Disney+ streaming service.
This can be really confusing. It’s kind of like how all squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares–but if rectangles were into deceptive consumer practices. Seriously, there are horror stories all over social media about people buying thousands of dollars in non-refundable Disney+ gift cards to use at Walt Disney World only to be denied. It’s a costly mistake, albeit one that would buy you a lifetime supply of streaming (although perhaps not with the pace of price increases).
There is absolutely no point in buying Disney+ gift cards–not even if you want the streaming service! Quite honestly, their very existence is pointless and the restrictive usage policy just feels shady and “un-Disney.” Now that the FTC has largely eliminated resort and junk fees (or at least undermined them by improving upfront pricing transparency), I might have to pivot and make the elimination of Disney+ gift cards my new pet cause. But I digress.
Target Gift Card Deal Legal Stuff
Now for everyone’s favorite part of any deal: the terms & conditions!!!

Gift Card Deal Sweetener & Limit Mistake
Be sure to check your Target Circle Bonuses, as members can enjoy rewards and extra savings with just-for-you bonuses. Note that these are targeted (kind of like Disney PIN Codes), so not everyone will receive them.
Target Circle has a bonus of $15 in Target Circle Rewards if you buy $100 from your Holiday Wish list. If you have this offer, activate it and add a $100 Disney eGift card to the wish list for that bonus $15. With this, you can buy a $100 gift card for $95 (after the Target Circle Card discount), and receive a $15 Circle Reward on top of the $10 Target eGift Card. Now that is a scorching deal! (Hat tip to Jake in the comments for the heads up on this.)Â
Speaking of the reader replies, several people are reporting being able to take advantage of this deal (as a whole–not the targeted rewards) multiple times. It’s supposed to be limited to once per account, but it appears to be working repeatedly. We’ve been able to take advantage of this deal 3 times before it stopped working; others have reported being able to complete 10+ transactions.
This type of thing happens from time to time, and there are about 50/50 odds of it being an error that’s caught later (but all of the purchases up to that point going through just fine) and transactions being cancelled and reversed. Either way, you should take advantage of this ASAP. It’s highly unlikely that Target is going to allow unlimited 10% off gift card purchases between now and November 22, 2025. This is a mistake that’s likely to last hours, not days!
Gift Card Deal Sweetener: Target Circle Card
The Target Circle Card (previously the REDcard) gets you an automatic 5% discount on any purchase at Target, including gift cards. That means you’re essentially getting 15% off here with this deal, albeit entirely indirectly. But savings is savings.
If you don’t have a Target Circle Card it might be worth getting one just to take advantage of the ability to save 5% on gift cards. Many Walt Disney World fans are Disney Visa cardholders because of the perks and cashback, despite the Disney Visa being a fairly mediocre credit card for rewards.
By virtue of the savings on gift cards alone, the Target Circle Card is unquestionably a better card from a rewards perspective for Disney fans. That’s right–you’re better off with a credit card from Target than you are with one from Disney, and it’s not as if this requires some huge hack to exploit. It’s pretty straightforward savings!
It may not have Mickey Mouse’s picture on the card, but the Target Circle Card gives Disney fans (who know how to use it) greater rewards. You can also take advantage of it with the Target Circle Debit Card, which can be a good option for those who don’t want a credit card…or another one.
Target Gift Card Deal Assessment
Sarah is the Target Circle Card holder in our household, as the one who does all of the in-store shopping. (The only stores I frequent are Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods and Costco; I can’t even remember the last time I stepped foot in Target or Walmart. Almost all of my online shopping is at Amazon.)
According to Sarah, this discount strikes her as a typical pre-Black Friday sale and Target is likely to offer an equivalent or better deal on gift cards the following week. Either by virtue of bigger savings or reduced restrictions/purchase limits. However, it’s entirely possible that Disney gift cards won’t be eligible for that theoretical sale. Maybe they’ll be devious and discount Disney+ gift cards by 20% off!
The big downside to this deal is that the purchase limit of one gift card (edit: this doesn’t apply as long as Target allows multiple transactions to go through!). That the savings are in the form of a Target promo gift card might bother some people who would prefer straightforward dollars off, but who can’t find a way to easily spend $10 at Target?!
Even so, every Disney gift card deal comes with limits and we always find ourselves taking advantage of multiple sales this time of year in order to max out our discounts. We spend more time and money at the parks than the average guest, but even if you’re doing only an annual trip, you’ll likely want to do the same. And from that perspective, 10-15% off is a hot deal and it all adds up.
Speaking of it all adding up, we also highly recommend combining Disney gift cards so you don’t have a wallet or purse filled with a dozen different ones, and you have to make multiple scans at each cash register to figure out which ones still have a balance. Disney gift cards can be combined via Disney’s online management tool under “My Cards.”
You can also use that to check balances. As someone who often forgets to do the former and has had an embarrassing ‘incident’ at Sunshine Seasons involving the scanning of several gift cards (two of which had less than $1 on them) as a line built behind me, that’s a mistake I won’t make again. At least, not anytime soon. Hopefully.

There’s a new Target circle deal that makes this 25% off! And the loophole is still open! There’s a Target circle deal that is buy anything for $200 (with a few exceptions) and get a $20 Target circle reward (basically a gift card that expires in a year). That plus the $10 reward on two $100 gift card purchases plus the regular 5% off makes $200 Disney for $151 USD!
Update: This offer is not on my spouse’s target card but is on mine, so it appears to be targeted and not available to everyone. May the odds be ever in your favor!
Did anyone notice they were charging $95.50 per $100 gift card instead of the normal $95 ($5.00 off for a true 5%)?
Is this because of the $10 promo card they’re also giving away? $4.50 off is only 4.5%
It’s the way the charged the transaction. They actually charged for the $10.00 target card – so you see a debit of $10.00 and one for $85.50. They deducted the $10.00 and applied the 5% to the $90.00. At least on my bank account that’s how it is.
There is (or was) another 15% Black Friday discount…
If you buy your theme park tickets from Undercovertourist.com, they give you bonus $40 rewards at Dining Dollars, which you can than use toward purchase of 15% of Disney gift cards.

How likely is it that there will be a better deal after Thanksgiving?
I was able to purchase 9 $100 cards (in 9 separate transactions). My tenth transaction was cancelled by Target shortly after I placed it. All my $90 worth of $10 Target gift cards already reflect in my account and all 9 $100s are in my email. Waited a few hours and tried again, cancelled again. So looks like the limit might be 9?
I was able to snag 35 individual orders of these gift cards with the bonus. I stopped there because it’s enough to cover our DVC dues, my parents, and our upcoming December trip. It appears it will continue to let me when I add another to my cart so that does not look like it’s been caught. I was unable to get the $15 wishlist bonus, however.
I think Target caught the “mistake”. I had the Disney egift card on my wishlist, activated $15 Circle Bonus, but only the bonus did not show in my cart. The fine print says gift cards and taxes do not count toward $100 purchase amount.
Correction: …but the bonus did not show in my cart, only the $10 Target gift card was listed.
The extra $10 bonus comes in a separate email. So one of the $10 gift cards shows in app and the second comes via email. I did it twice after some of these comments posted. I don’t use the red card or the paid Target 360 so maybe it’s some of those additional benefits that people are finding won’t work the same. The fine print on the $10 doesn’t exclude all gift cards…just the actual purchase of Target gift cards
Thanks for the info, Liz. I tried multiple times…$15 Circle Bonus saved but it doesn’t show up in my cart. I purchased two $100 gift cards yesterday in separate transactions and received $10 Target gift card for each one, never received bonus email, nor does the $15 bonus show up in my Circle account. What am I missing? Interestingly, the terms say “gift cards” do not count toward earning the bonus, making it sound as though all gift cards are excluded not just Target gift cards. Can it be that different stores treat gift cards differently? Thanks in advance to anyone who can fill me in.

I just did the wishlist circle bonus, it’s weird b/c it doesn’t show in your cart, but after I got my emailed g/c and target g/c it showed in my circle rewards.

Thanks for the comments letting me know about the limit not actually being enforced–hadn’t even tried to place a second order! I’ve updated the post accordingly to add this and other info.
I’d recommend taking advantage of this ASAP. We’ve seen limits mistakenly not be enforced with other deals like this before (I want to say at Sam’s or Costco?) and the loophole was closed within a matter of hours.

I was able to get 10! They canceled the following six.
A DVC Facebook page member confirmed they were able to purchase 10 of these Target deals. They tried to buy twelve but two of them were refunded. Seems like the limit is one per transaction but you can do 10 transactions.
target seems to limit everything at 10. so when I need more then 10 of things I have to order it more than once.
Target Circle is also running a deal where you get $15 in Circle Rewards (basically store credit) if you buy $100 from a wish list. I added a $100 Disney gift card to the wishlist and verified this worked.
So I bought a $100 gift card for $95 (red card discount) and received back a $15 circle reward and $10 Target gift card.

The terms say one coupon/deal per Target Circle account, but so far I’ve done three separate purchases of $100 Disney gift cards and gotten three $10 Target gift cards on my account. Weirdly, it’s also only giving me 4.5% off with my Circle card instead of 5%?So not sure what’s going on with the Target app, but I’ll take it! Wondering what the real limit is, if there’s one at all…at least for now.
They’re only giving you 5% off of $90 because they factor in the $10 target gift card you’re getting for buying $100.

Yes! Thanks so much for the heads-up! I usually look for these deals this time of year and use the gift cards to pay the annual DVC maintenance fees in January at a discount.
I was able to make multiple $100 Disney gift card transactions and got $10 back each time. I did look for a limit before I did, and I wasn’t able to find the conditions listed above. I was kinda waiting for my credit card to question duplicate transactions…

I just had this EXACT conversation with my husband this morning when I saw the target discount. So just want to second this advice. We have a huge Thanksgiving WDW trip coming up with all the parties and all the things so I have meticulously budgeted to use my Redcard discount for disney giftcards to pay for everything that I can’t get the visa discount on and then use visa discount on, because visa is generally 10%. but this deal totally changes that calculation because it becomes 15%. Being that it’s limited to one coupon, it doesn’t change the overall strategy though. Im hoping there will be another deal before my trip .
I am from Western Pennsylvania originally, now in California. There is a grocery chain called giant eagle that for years and years we bought our Disney gift cards to pay for our entire trip and every time you bought a gift card it was so many points of value to use at their own gas stations. Literally for years because of so many Disney trips we did not pay for gasoline, my husband had it down to a science.
It was fabulous!
