A Rare Chance to Win a Stay Inside Cinderella Castle’s Secret Suite Returns for 2027!
Staying in the Cinderella Castle Suite is a bucket list dream for Walt Disney World fans, and following the classic makeover of the Magic Kingdom park icon, it’ll be possible again in 2027! This covers details of the ‘Royal Dream Come True’ giveaway by Give Kids the World, what’s included in this vacation package, why we recommend supporting this fantastic cause, the actual retail value of a night inside the only “hotel room” within one of the WDW theme parks, and more.
This is the first chance to stay in the Cinderella Castle Suite since the recent makeover to remove the princess pink look for the 50th and restore the classic color scheme to the Magic Kingdom park icon. As discussed in How Walt Disney World Executed the Excellent Cinderella Castle Repainting, that work was executed flawlessly.
At the same time, the project probably prevented overnight stays in Cinderella Castle given how much of the work happened after hours. The good news is that the exterior enhancements have now been completed, and there’s a new sweepstakes featuring a Cinderella Castle Suite stay starting in 2027!
We’ve been fortunate enough to step inside the Cinderella Castle Suite twice, and it’s incredible. The accommodations are fit for royalty, with attention to detail and lavish flourishings everywhere you look. For those fans who complain that hotel rooms at Walt Disney World are becoming generic, this is the exact opposite of that.
Every inch of the Cinderella Castle Suite is meticulously detailed and thoughtfully themed. Not only that, but the design is incredibly clever, showcasing Imagineering at the top of its design game. Space in the suite is utilized brilliantly, transforming what’s in reality a pretty small space into something that feels extravagant.
For those unfamiliar with it, the Cinderella Castle Suite is a secret hotel room that’s tucked away into the 55-year old centerpiece of Magic Kingdom. The Cinderella Castle Suite opened in January 2007, and its purpose at that time was to serve as a daily prize for randomly chosen guests during the Year of a Million Dreams.
Prior to 2007, the Cinderella Castle Suite did not exist. It was previously a utilitarian backstage storage space. In Magic Kingdom’s early days, Walt Disney World phone operators used it as a workspace. Yes, really.
Given that we’re now approaching the 20-year anniversary of the Cinderella Castle Suite, we can’t help but wonder whether there was a soft goods refurbishment to the room during the exterior project. Our guess is no, both because the suite itself gets very little use and because the style is truly timeless.
Fast-forward to today, and the Cinderella Castle Suite mostly sits empty. Once used on a near-nightly basis during the Year of a Million Dreams, and then frequently for celebrity stays and giveaways, the Cinderella Castle Suite is now rarely used. It was once a frequent fixture of marketing campaigns and Travel Channel specials, but is now seldom mentioned to the point that it’s more or less a ‘secret’ among newer fans.
The biggest exception to that was a series of sweepstakes. Disney has given away a few stays to Cast Members and Disney Vacation Club members over the last several years. Increasingly more common has been auctions and sweepstakes for the general public, mostly of the charitable variety, but even those aren’t frequent–more like once or twice each year.
Give Kids the World is the only charity that does a Cinderella Castle Suite stay giveaway with any degree of regularity, and it has become an annual event for each of the last few years. With that in mind, here are the details of this year’s fundraiser…
Give Kids The World Village is offering the chance for one lucky winner and three guests to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime ‘Royal Dream Come True’ Vacation Package featuring a one-night stay in the Cinderella Castle Suite, located inside the iconic Cinderella Castle four stories above the Magic Kingdom.

Given that it’ll score you 100 bonus entries, our advice is to donate $50 to Give Kids the World. Of course, we’ve been at this for several years now and have yet to win an overnight stay in Cinderella Castle, so what do we know! But in this case, we feel like winning even as we’ve lost because we’ve supported a fantastic cause in the process.
*Technically, no donation is necessary to enter or win. You may enter either by donating on the sweepstakes page or via an alternative method. But c’mon. This supports a great cause in Make-A-Wish and is tax-deductible. We highly recommend making a donation, and it’s safe to assume that the winner will be someone who donated–thanks to karma–so entering the giveaway via alternative free means is just a waste of your time, regardless.
Supporting Give Kids the World
To that point, this ‘Royal Dream Come True’ Cinderella Castle Suite stay giveaway is, first and foremost, a fundraiser for Give Kids The World Village. This is an 89-acre, nonprofit storybook resort in Central Florida that fulfills the wishes of children with critical illnesses and their families.
When wish granting organizations from around the world receive a request from a critically ill child who wishes to visit Orlando and its world renowned theme parks, Give Kids The World fulfills all of these wishes and provides every child and their family with an all-inclusive experience that includes transportation, accommodations, theme park tickets, nightly entertainment, daily gifts, and more.
Since its founding in 1986, nearly 205,000 wish families from all 50 states and 78 countries have been welcomed to the Give Kids the World Village to spend priceless time together away from hospital stays and medical treatments. Give Kids The World Village is charging $10 per entry in the hopes of raising as much money as possible to support its mission.
Give Kids the World is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization (meaning your donation is tax-deductible) with a 99/100 score on Charity Navigator. More than 90 cents of every dollar it spends goes to program services, and only 2.2% of their revenue is spent on administrative expenses, which is an exceptionally low amount.
We are not receiving any compensation for this ‘endorsement’ of Give Kids the World or this giveaway. To the contrary, GKTW is a charity that we strongly believe in, which is why we’re sharing this. (That, and readers often ask about the Cinderella Castle Suite, so it’s a two birds with one stone sorta deal.)
Readers occasionally ask how they can support the site since we don’t have Patreon or that type of thing. The answer is pay it forward. Donate to Make-A-Wish, Give Kids the World, or a comparable charity of your choice. We also like to support Second Harvest of Central Florida and Orange County, CA. Find a small way to make the world a better place–it doesn’t even have to be a monetary contribution–and you’ll have done your part to support the site indirectly. It’s cheesy, but it’s true.
Sarah and I strongly believe in Give Kids the World’s mission, and have been moved by our visits to the Village. It’s evident in the enthusiasm of the families staying, the passion of the volunteers and staff, and the collaborative sense of community leaders that help make this place something truly magical–and that’s a word we don’t use lightly in this case.
Your entry into the ‘Royal Dream Come True’ giveaway is a win-win. You’re supporting a fantastic cause and getting a chance at winning a stay in the Cinderella Castle Suite! Accordingly, please do not use free method for entering the contest. That only exists because of legal requirements. Just skip a stale churro or cinnamon roll next time you’re at Magic Kingdom.
Cinderella Castle Suite Stay Value & Terms
Check-in for the Cinderella Castle Suite is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 9:00 AM. The 2-night resort stay at a Deluxe Disney Resort hotel may take place before or after the stay at the Cinderella Castle Suite.
The drawing date for the ‘Royal Dream Come True’ sweepstakes will be held on November 16, 2026. Travel for this Vacation Package must be completed by November 15, 2027, subject to availability and blockout dates. Advance reservations are required. Requests must be submitted ninety (90) days in advance and confirmed at least forty-five (45) days prior to arrival. Given this 45-day rule, that means this Cinderella Castle Suite stay and the ‘Royal Dream Come True’ vacation will occur in 2027.
The Actual Retail Value or “ARV” is $17,708. The actual value of the vacation package may vary depending on dates of stay, point of departure and fluctuations of rates and airfares. Any difference between the ARV and the actual value of the prize will not be awarded. There are a bunch of other disclaimers, rules, and requirements that can be found in the contest rules.
The most important two things are that the approximate retail value of the ‘Royal Dream Come True’ vacation package is $17,708. This is the estimated value of the entire Walt Disney World vacation package, and not just the night in Cinderella Castle.
We’ve seen these contests before, and the interesting wrinkle this time is that the value of airfare is listed separately. Not only that, but it’s much higher than we would’ve expected at $10,000. But then again, the entire package is about $8,000 above the approximate retail value of the last Cinderella Castle Suite giveaway.
This means that we can take the known approximate costs of everything else in the package, remove those from the equation, and come up with a ballpark “price” for a night in the Cinderella Castle Suite. At least, according to Walt Disney World. So here goes:
- Breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal Table for 4: $304
- 2-night Deluxe Resort standard room stay: $938 to $2,558
- 3-day Park Hopper ticket for 4: $1,968 to $2,852
- $500 Disney Gift Card for prize winner: $500
Airfare for 4
‘Royal Dream Come True’ ARV Total: $3,710 to $6,214
That’s a huge range. It’s still imperfect because the potential party size could vary; the cost of 1 person vs. 4 people is obviously quite different. Nevertheless, from that we can conclude that Walt Disney World considers the approximate retail value of one night in the Cinderella Castle Suite to be around $1,494 to $3,998, if not higher.
This is the lowest range for the Cinderella Castle Suite that we’ve ever seen from one of these giveaways. Either the value of the suite has declined (doubtful), or the ARV has not kept pace against price increases and they’re mostly copying and pasting contest rules from previous years. The latter explanation seems likely.
While digging into the terms & conditions, we’d also note that there are references to “Beast Philanthropy” and “MrBeastYouTube, LLC.” But as best we can tell, Mr. Beast has nothing to do with the ‘Royal Dream Come True’ giveaway. That’s likely leftover language from a previous contest, further reinforcing the copying and pasting theory. (Unless we’ve uncovered this contest page before Mr. Beast drops his next big philanthropy video featuring a stay in the Cinderella Castle Suite!)
At the risk of stating the obvious, this range is way too low if we’re trying to determine the fair market value for a night in the Cinderella Castle Suite. The scarcity of the suite coupled with the number of diehard Walt Disney World fans and affluent travelers craving an exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime experience would drive the price much higher.
What the market rate of a stay in the Cinderella Castle Suite would be if it were open 365 nights per year is anyone’s guess. There’s undoubtedly a lot of fan demand, plus an endless stream of disposable wealth that could sustain insanely high prices. My guess is around $10,000 per night for the suite alone. Perhaps even higher for the first few years. Even that could significantly underestimate the cost of the room that Disney would charge if it were bookable on DisneyWorld.com.
As for why Disney doesn’t do exactly this and open the suite for guests to book at a cash rate instead of letting it sit empty 98% of the time, my best guess is that it’s simply not worth the hassle. The administrative costs, security, lack-of-scale, insurance, negative headlines over the nightly rate, consumer confusion, etc., would all probably exceed $10,000 per night. Given all of the issues they had with communications and Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, it makes a lot more sense that the Cinderella Castle Suite isn’t bookable.
Nevertheless, it feels almost criminal that the Cinderella Castle Suite just sits empty most nights. If you want to see more glimpses of the rooms inside the suite, check out our Cinderella Castle Suite Photo Tour.
Ultimately, it’s great to see that Walt Disney World is putting the Cinderella Castle Suite to use in 2027. On average, there’s about one of these giveaways per year, so we highly recommend taking advantage, supporting a good cause, and entering the ‘Royal Dream Come True’ giveaway. There isn’t a fundraiser for a more deserving organization, and one with a ‘distinctly Disney’ connection.
It’s great that the Cinderella Castle Suite is put to use from time to time for charity. It’d be great to see this more accessible for regular fans, and it’s kind of wild how this went from an addition that Disney emphasized to one that’s so under-discussed that it’s unknown by many newer fans.
Since most fans will never actually stay inside Cinderella Castle, it’d be great if Walt Disney World introduced a new behind-the-scenes tour that takes guests inside the Cinderella Castle Suite. We’d be the first to book–it’s been 15 years (!!!) since we were last inside, so I’d love some fresh photos!

Thanks for letting us know about this sweepstakes! This is a wonderful charity to donate to! I donate to them several times a year.
I made a donation and enter the sweepstakes a couple of hours ago but, have not received any sort of email confirmation yet (I’ve checked my spam box, too). Has anyone else had this occurrence happen to them? My credit card has already been charged so, I know it went through. Just curious why they would not have at least sent some sort of acknowledgment and Thank you for the donation. They’ve done so in the past. Thanks!
The rare occurrence of two $50s being worth more than one $100 …
We’re on the mailing iist for Give kids the World. It’s a great organization an if memory serves me right it’s a 99% 4 Star Charity on Charity Navigator.
Doing Christmas there is also a must do part of a WDW trip when in the area if it’s happening. Donating for a chance to win an overnight in the Castle akes me feel a bit guilty but I’m right there with you on this. I highly recommend donating.
To be honest I’m not sure I’d want to be locked in there overnight. I would like to see the inside but that’s really all. The fact that they no longer have a tour utilizing the castle is insane.
