After clicking the link below and selecting Disneyland or Walt Disney World, you’ll want to select the ‘Sign Up for Tips & Offers‘ button at the top of the page. The video provides an overview of Walt Disney World or Disneyland (you choose), with beautiful footage of the parks, hotels, special events, and more. This video will tug at your heart strings (we all know Disney is incredibly skilled at this sort of thing), and sometimes this emotional approach is just what’s needed. Plus, unlike most “free” things, there are no strings attached to this one. It’s a pure freebie from Disney! This Disney Planning video will get you excited for your trip…
To order, simply click here, which will take you to Disney’s official site to complete the sign-up form.
Please note that as of 2019, it appears Walt Disney World is no longer sending out copies of the DVD by mail. The video is streaming-exclusive, at least for the time being. (We’re guessing that this is a permanent change given the rise of streaming and fall of media-based video consumption. It’s also probably cheaper for Disney.
While you’ll find some content here that will emotionally resonate, the fact is that’s not the goal of our blog posts. We weigh the pros and cons of everything from hotels to restaurants to tickets and beyond to help you spend your money wisely and get the must bang for your buck with posts like our Walt Disney World Planning Guide or Disneyland Planning Guide.
Unless you want your kids to view you as a drill sergeant, resources like this video are an awesome way of balancing out strategical tips & tricks on our blog, with something fun. Plus, it’s a nice keepsake…and did we mention free?! (Ha, we’re obviously over-emphasizing that bit, but seriously, how often do you get something totally free from Disney?)
If you are just starting to plan your first visit to Disneyland or Walt Disney World, this video can also be an excellent resource. It provides background info that’s helpful before digging into comprehensive material on blogs or unofficial guidebooks. Sometimes, we have a tendency to presume knowledge of certain things in our posts, and this video is a good primer to make sure you have that knowledge.
Even if you have visited numerous times, ordering the free Disney Parks Planning video is still a great way to get hyped up for your next trip.
We order the new edition of the video every year. We like to build anticipation by watching the newest version of this video, and other specials we’ve collected. While they aren’t incredibly helpful in terms of planning, they are fun, and that matters, too!
The link to getting the free panning video doesn’t work. It makes you enter your personal info to create an account and then doesn’t let you do anything else. I tried this from different computers with the same result. It might be a trick to just get your information… In addition I could not find any phone numbers to ask/report problem re. website to Disney.
Since you have this on your website, can you please confirm or deny the existence of a problem vs. me somehow not doing what they expect? Can you get to it?
Are you located outside of the United States? I’ve found that can be an issue with the video, but otherwise it appears to be working just fine.
If you’re in the US and it’s still not working, have you tried a different browser? Sorry, those are the only issues I can think of!
Thanks. I live in the US.
Yes, I tried Safari on my iMac and Firefox on my Windows10 based PC…..

I am in the same boat. I tried clicking on the photo like it says in the above text and that will not work either. How do you get the video?

Wait, I can’t seem to find the link I need to click to order this video? Reading some of these comments it seems some people are saying that they don’t send out an actual video anymore but there might be one available online? Is that the case?

i like your planning video this idea is great for vacation in disney………………..
Am I the only one who is HAPPY they stopped sending out DVDs? This is 2017. Everything is streaming or on-demand. I don’t even have a DVD player anymore lol.
I called Disney Guest Relations & after being put on hold for 30 min. was told they no longer send DVDS. Its a trick to get fans to sign up & join their site. They refused to send me folded maps or even info for disabled visitors.
So I know that the video is online only. Is there anywhere to get materials? Such as Maps for the parks or can you only find those online as well? TIA

Aloha,
What is a pin code?
How do you save $
Where can I get one?
Mahalo!
Yeah, I ordered these in April. It even said I would get them soon. Never did. Now I see “online only”??
Seems like Disney keeps charging more & more & you get less & less out of it.
Just an FYI – Disney is not sending out DVDs for any of their destinations anymore, but they are still sending out materials. We just received a really nice booklet and that was a fun treat for the kiddos.
Wanted to let everyone know because I was tempted to provide a fake address (lol) since they don’t send a physical DVD anymore. At least they still send something!!!
Tom! Can’t believe you didn’t mention that signing up for this planning video is one way to pretty much *guarantee* a pin code, and I know you agree with me that those are the BEST discounts, because I remember you writing about them for Touring Plans!!!
Came here to say the same thing.
Bummed it’s not a DVD anymore, BUT I signed up and watched the online video and a couples later I got some magical mail from Walt Disney World with a planning guide!!!
Could be a coincidence, but I haven’t given Disney my new address anywhere else. Nice surprise that made my day, good work Disney!
Yep 100%.
I tried to get a DVD planning video this year as well, because we are planning a trip for next year, however it just kept sending me to the online videos. I finally sent an email to Disney to find out how to get the physical DVD, explaining that I cannot stream videos due to having a very limited data plan and no other internet options where I live. The response I received stated that they were no longer sending DVDs and that everything was available online. I’m pretty disappointed. I think the most irritating part is that the way the email was worded sort of implied that they were doing it this way for everyone’s benefit rather than just admitting they are trying to save money. A Disney trip costs me thousands of dollars but they can’t afford to send me a measly DVD?
Yeah, that’s really disappointing to me, too. We’ve been collecting these for several years, and while the substance of the online video is the same, it’d be nice to have the physical keepsake–especially given how much the average family spends to visit Disney.
A lot of people have complained about this, so hopefully Disney reverses course and offers the DVD again!
I didn’t receive my 2017 Disney DVD yet
Dude,
There is no video…follow the thread. Update the member info…all done, click CONTINUE and nada.
Apologies….View all this in Explorer. there are problems with browsing in Chrome

I’ve ordered the DVD twice, once in early February and again in early March. Both times, I got email confirmations of my order. Still waiting… So disappointed as I wanted to share them with my extended family who will be joining us.
Sorry to hear this. It’s a known problem with these DVDs, and I’m not sure why Disney hasn’t fixed it. Hope you get one eventually…
I have requested the DVD several times and have yet to hear from anyone every time I reach out to figure out why it hasnt come..What should I do ?
I was told by a cast member that they are no longer giving out the DVD’s but you can watch them online. They told me that about 2 weeks ago. I just tried watching them online and the stories were the same as the videos from 2016. Any idea how to find the one from 2017?
There is no image to click on on the site.
I called Disney and they said they stopped sending DVD’s effective 1/17
It looks like they no longer do the DVDs. Lame
I have had the same problem. I noticed that they are videos online that they have sent me online with my email. I want the DVD, not the online videos. Can’t figure out how to get the DVD. I ordered the Disney Cruise DVD and did receive it.
