Halloween Decorations – Disney Photo of the Day
At the end of the day on Walt Disney World’s 40th Anniversary, I was tired, to say the least. Starting at around 6:30 am, by the time 1 am rolled around, I was ready to call it a night. However, I really wanted photos of the beautiful Halloween decorations all around the Magic Kingdom, so I decided to compromise, and pack up the tripod and just take handheld shots of all the decorations. I was surprised that I was able to get fairly high-quality shots handheld at night. I did get some fairly odd looks from others, presumably wondering why anyone would possibly need, or even want, 10 photos of each and every pumpkin on Main Street, USA. Oh well, it was worth it!

Your article is very nice. You have provided interesting information. I will return to your site often to check. Keep up with your good work.
What a wonderful photo. Make me think I need to look outside the box when taking decoration photos. Thanks for the inspiration.
Great photo. Saw a real neat way of stabilizing a camera without using a tripod. It involves tying good, strong string to a screw, a screw that would fit into the camera where the tripod would go. The other end of the string a large washer. Screw one end into the camera then let the washer fall to the ground. Place washer under your foot. The string should be long enough and tight enough for the camera to be eye height. Saw this done on a video. I’m sure not as stable as a tripod but in a pinch seems to work well.
Interesting, and great for those who don’t have a tripod. I’m not so sure in my circumstance it would have been any more convenient than taking the 20 seconds to set up my tripod. I was REALLY lazy late that night!
