Best Deal on Disney Gift Cards of 2026: Up to $100 Off!

There’s a new deal for Disney gift cards, offering 10% off or up to $100 in savings. This covers discount details, plus a similar sale on Southwest Airlines, and more you need to know about buying and using these gift cards.
If you’re looking for ways to save on gift cards at other retailers, check out our comprehensive Money-Saving Tips for Discount Disney Gift Cards. That covers Kroger, Target, Costco, Best Buy, Meijer and more. We’ve also been sharing deals on gift cards for third party restaurateurs that operate at Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
That gift card buying guide includes everything from straightforward sales to more complicated ways to stack savings (e.g. cash back sites, credit card bonuses, etc). This post is shorter and sweeter, focusing on the limited-time sales at Sam’s Club in late April through May 2026.
Normally, 10% off is a great deal on Disney gift cards–even if gated behind a membership at one of the club stores. We jump on discounts offering that degree of savings, especially since virtually every Disney gift card deal has limits. You’ll typically be capped at $800 at the absolute most worth of gift cards with any deal, and it’s very easy to spend $800 at Walt Disney World. That’s one day (at best?) in the parks!
Usually, the best sales happen between mid-November and mid-December and then again during Christmas in July sales (or Memorial/Labor Day). We’re now past the first sweet spot, and have a while to go before the second.
Accordingly, we’ve been encouraging readers with gift card “needs” for the first half of 2026 to lower their standards from those 10% or $800 threshold. We share all of the gift card sales, so subscribe to our free email newsletter for a heads up when more Disney gift card deals go live.
The great news is that the new Disney gift card deal at Sam’s Club meets both thresholds! Here are full deal details…

Sam’s Club will have $500 Disney eGift Card on sale for $450, which is 10% off!
Based on the Sam’s Club Instant Savings Book, this is an Online Weekend Doorbuster sale that will only be available May 1-3, 2026.
In terms of the actual relevant fine print, you’re limited to a maximum of 2 per order and 2 per membership on Disney eGift Cards. So $1,000 worth of digital Disney gift cards for $900, or $100 off. No matter how you slice it–up to $100 off or 10% off–that’s a great discount on a high denomination amount.
What follows are updates on this deal through May 1, 2026 at 3 pm Eastern, as it’s been quite the roller coaster ride…

Sam’s Club Plus members get early access to this sale starting April 30, 2026 at 9pm Eastern. If you’re not yet a Plus member, you can upgrade at SamsClub.com/Plus. UPDATE: Buried in the fine print, it says that this gift card deal will NOT be part of early access.
UPDATE 2: Despite the deceptive fine print, the gift card deal has gone live for Sam’s Club Plus members at of 9pm Eastern on April 30, 2026. Good to see Sam’s do the right thing and launch the deal during early access, as the straightforward presentation of the deal made it look like it’d go live during early access, only to be excluded by an asterisk that led to a full page of footnotes on page 47 of the savings book.
UPDATE 3: It appears that the $500 Disney eGift Cards sold out during the Plus presale (that wasn’t supposed to happen), and never were available to the general public. At least, not that we saw. However, some readers have reported seeing it come back in stock briefly. Although I haven’t seen this myself with this particular deal, I wouldn’t be surprised by it. Restocks are always possible, and it’s worth keeping an eye on throughout the weekend.
One reader has also reported success at purchasing for the $450 price at their local brick-and-mortar Sam’s Club store. Your mileage may vary on this one, as the savings book specifically states this deal is “online only” and the product page also says “prices may vary in club and online.” But there was also an asterisk indicating that the item was excluded from the presale, and yet, it wasn’t. So who knows at this point–it might be worth checking your local store!

Sam’s Club will also have $500 Southwest Airlines eGift Cards on sale for $450 as part of the same online doorbuster sale. This will likewise be available for the May 1-3, 2026 subset of dates, or while supplies last.
If you’re someone who still flies SWA, that 10% off discount is another great deal! You’re normally limited to a maximum of 5 per order and 5 per membership on Southwest gift cards, which may or may not be reduced for this sale.
Purchase of the Southwest Airlines eGift Card has no bearing on eligibility or limits for the Disney eGift Card. They’re two separate sales, each with their own limits. To whatever extent one impacts the other, that’s your personal budget or credit card limit.

In looking through the Disney gift card sales that we’ve covered thus far this year, this is the best of the more straightforward ones, offering both 10% off and a high dollar cap. There have been a couple of previous 10% off sales, but they’ve had significantly lower limits. Most of the sales have been decent, with 6-8% off and lower limits unless you stacked with credit card bonuses.
While we subscribe to the “it all adds up” mantra, this is the first deal that will, by itself, make a meaningful contribution towards paying for a Walt Disney World, Disneyland, or DCL vacation. It’s the first $100 off or higher sale of 2026! (It’s possible there have been equivalent deals at regional stores, but I haven’t seen any.)
This deal is online only; prices may vary in club stores. (Meaning this deal most is not available in stores and gift cards will likely be the normal ~$480 price there.) Here’s the link to where you’ll find this deal once it goes live: https://www.samsclub.com/ip/Disney-500-Gift-Card/13893257573
The $500 Disney eGift Card for $450 will be available online at Sam’s Club from May 1-3, 2026.

You may have success with additional orders (that’s always YMMV), but they’re likely to get cancelled. What we’ve seen in the past with Sam’s Club sales is a higher likelihood of success the earlier this orders are placed. Meaning that your best chances of exceeding the limit and actually having the gift cards delivered is as soon as it goes live.
It’s also possible that you might have success ordering on day one, and then again on a different day. Although it’s equally likely that this sells out within a few hours and is never restocked. That happens often with Disney gift card deals, especially ones offering significant savings like this.
As always, you should buy ASAP when the deal goes live. These often sell out within hours, especially the better deals (and again, this is the best of the year-to-date). This deal may be dead before May 2nd!

Disney Gift Cards are redeemable at Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney, Disney Store US locations, DisneyStore.com, and beyond.
You can use Disney Gift Cards for almost anything parks-related, including but not limited to theme park tickets, hotel stays, merchandise, restaurants, Lightning Lanes, and even at some participating third party locations (e.g. stores and restaurants at Disney Springs and Downtown Disney).
You can use the gift cards online at Disneyworld.com or Disneyland.com when booking trips, as well as in the respective apps when placing Mobile Orders, etc. Basically, you can use these gift cards for almost anything at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and beyond. There are some odd and random exceptions to this, but they’re almost as good as a regular credit card or currency.

Every Disney gift card deal comes with limits and we always find ourselves taking advantage of sales throughout the year to max out our discounts. We spend more time and money at the parks than the average guest, but even if you’re doing only an annual trip, you’ll likely want to do the same. And from that perspective, 10% off is a hot deal, especially when it amounts to a total savings of $100.
Speaking of it all adding up, we also highly recommend combining Disney gift cards so you don’t have a wallet or purse filled with a dozen different ones, and you have to make multiple scans at each cash register to figure out which ones still have a balance. Disney gift cards can be combined via Disney’s online management tool under “My Cards.”
You can also use that to check balances. As someone who often forgets to do the former and has had an embarrassing ‘incident’ at Sunshine Seasons involving the scanning of several gift cards (two of which had less than $1 on them) as a line built behind me, that’s a mistake I won’t make again. At least, not anytime soon. Hopefully.

Your Thoughts
What do you think of the Sam’s Club Disney Gift Card Deals for May 2026? Are the 10% off or $100 savings “good enough” for you given the time of year? The gift cards are showing up as out of stock as of 7am EDT for plus members. This is my first time as a Plus member for the DGCs deals (I needed shipping on a piece of playground equipment and the $15 upgrade fee was less than the $400 shipping cost) so I don’t know if this is always the way it goes, and then they show up available again at 9.
I hope that they just have a certain number set aside for early bird access, and then more available when the sale goes live to everyone.
Waited until midnight because this article said it wasn’t available at 9, bummer
It’s 9:30pm in Utah and it already says out of stock on the website.
I think the sale runs,
9:00pm eastern time
8:00pm central time
7:00pm mountain time
6:00pm pacific time
All at the same time.
Keep checking maybe Sams will restock.
Thank you for the early access info on gift cards
Tom I have a Meijer’s store that I recently started to shop. How do you save money on the Disney gift cards? Do you use your rewards monies to flat out purchases the Disney gift card?
Thanks for your post. I was able to get the deal at Sam’s Club online at 9:01pm. The E card took 5 minutes to access and use towards our family vacation.
The Early Access for Plus Members worked for both Disney and Southwest Airlines. I was able to purchase the cards on April 30. Thanks for the tip!
That’s fantastic! Thanks for letting everyone know. I was planning on staying up til midnight and wouldn’t have even tried to purchase at 9:00. I got my gift card and am headed to bed now!
Just purchased gift card from Sam’s online – it really did go live at 9:00 pm!
Thanks for the heads (headses?) up everyone! Looks like I’m not the only one who thought the presentation of the deal and that fine print was a bit deceptive. Good to see Sam’s do the right thing and launch the deal during early access.
Now to see if the purchase limits actually apply…
Deal is live now for Sam’s club PLUS members. Thabks so much for the heads up Tom. Always love your articles!
Just wanted to point out that Sam’s Club e-cards are ineligible for the Plus members’ early bird doorbusters sale that begins April 30th at 9pm (see the fine print footnote #2) so we have to wait until May 1st.
Thanks.
Disappointed that you were not more informed. I went to Sam’s Club last weekend and purchased a Prime Membership to take advantage of this offer. (Paid extra for Prime membership I will never use)
Learned my lesson.
Never again!
My sincere apologies about the confusion.
You might want to consider contacting Sam’s Club and trying to downgrade, especially if you just purchased the membership and can’t use that status for the one thing you wanted.
If you look at the actual savings book (https://www.samsclub.com/cp/instant-savings-book/30001708), the spread with the Disney gift card specifically mentions the early access on a banner at the top. It isn’t until you dig into the full page of footnotes on page 47 that you see the gift cards are excluded from early access.
Explain that, and they might be more receptive to the downgrade request.
We just bought them. The sale is live
It is live 4/30 9pm EST
Thanks for the info, Tom. What time on 5/1 does the sale start for Club members?
Are the online 10% off Disney gift cards purchased through Sam’s Club physical cards that have to arrive via snail mail, or can the gift cards be emailed and downloaded to an empty card I already have?
The Sam’s Club cards are eGift cards, which will be sent via email. You can then load them onto physical or digital cards you already have at disneygiftcard.com. In the past, the Sams Club eGift cards could not be added directly to a mobile wallet (You can use them by scanning the bar code), but you can transfer the balance onto a physical or digital Disney Gift Card. I have ordered a small denomination eGift card from The Disney Store that CAN be added to Apple or Google wallet, and then loaded the Sam’s Club cards onto that. I also like to have a physical gift card on hand — easier for table service dining.
Disney Gift Cards also work at Aulani! 🙂
Tom, you mentioned $500 GC for $480. The best I’ve found at Sam’s is $500 for $484.99. Where do I go for the 5% off ($480). Anyone??
at Target:
Use your Target card to pay, and ALL gift cards are 5% off everyday, but they tend to carry the lower denomination gift cards in the store. You can also check Target.com, but remember, you have to pay with the Target store red card. So a $500 purchase at Target is $475 using the Target card, and you could just buy them right before you need them.
This is a great deal, but in the times I have tried on other occasions, they sold out fast and I was not able to purchase any (even though it looked like the transaction had gone through on the Sam’s website). So if you get the purchase you are lucky, but don’t join Sam’s Club just to buy these, as it is not guaranteed.
The fine print states that early access does not apply to the gift card deals. It’s part of the blizzard of footnotes listed on the page before the back cover. So, unless Sam’s changes their mind about that, the gift card deals will start May 1 for all.
As someone who uses gift cards to pay their DVC dues and for any merch, enchanting extras, LLs, or food on visits, we tend to buy as often as possible. Generally, we’ll maximize our accounts at Sam’s Club, BJ’s Wholesale, Best Buy, and Meijer. The Meijer one works well as we grocery shop here and their mPerks deal allows $75 savings on $500 worth of gift cards. Add that to a decent credit card, and you’ll end up nearing 20%+ in cashback or rewards. But, Meijer isn’t a national chain and thus limited to fewer visitors.
I realize this strategy isn’t for everyone. Some feel it’s too easy to be scammed or hacked, others may not want to manage another form of payment, and I often read online it’s just not worth the hassle. However, we’ve saved thousands and find it most beneficial. Thanks for the article and details, Tom!
Not a member, so the price of Sam’s membership would cancel out the savings. I’ll keep checking for new deals and periodically purchase using the 5% discount at Target.
However, many thanks for sharing this information! Many times these notifications do apply to our family.
Do they have expiration dates as I’m planning a trip to Disneyland in two and four years. Getting ready for the Jubilee which I hope will be better than the DW 50th. Don’t know if anything can top DL 50th.
They do not expire, nor are there inactivity fees.
With that said, I’d be very reluctant to lock money into a gift card for over two years. So much can change between now and then, you could lose the card, etc. Why not put that money into a high yield savings account, treasuries, etc?
I’m a huge supporter of DGCs as I know Tom is too.
But you really need to listen to him when he says invest that extra money in stuff like CD’s etc.
Start buying DGCs once you’re inside a year of when you’re definitely going.
Keep reading and Good luck.
Thanks Tom. That is actually VERY good advice as Navy Federal always has great CD rates. I have some already, but now I’ll open one just for my DL trips. Thanks for putting my brain back in gear!
I combine these with the D23 5% discount currently running on Disneyland tickets. You can use these Disney gift cards to buy those tickets at a discount. I believe d23 membership is still free as a perk of having Disney+
Thanks for the reminder about that Disneyland ticket deal. I got the email from D23 a week or two ago, but was otherwise occupied and totally forgot to circle back.
