Have a question about planning a trip to Disney or something you’ve read here? Hopefully this blog can help! We’ve visited every Disney resort around the world, from Walt Disney World to Tokyo Disneyland, have stayed in nearly every Disney-owned hotel in the world, and have dined at the majority of Disney restaurants.
Presumably, most of you coming to this site are here for Walt Disney World or Disneyland trip planning advice. Common questions you have can probably be answered by posts we already have written that pertain to these topics and contain links to most critical vacation planning info.
If you’re trying to plan a Walt Disney World trip, visit our Walt Disney World Trip Planning Guide. If planning a Disneyland trip, check out our Disneyland Trip Planning Guide. If you look on the right-hand sidebar, you’ll also find links to other key planning-related posts. You can subscribe to our FREE email newsletter here.

Sorry, but we do not respond to emails pertaining to planning. If you have questions pertaining to trip planning or other topics, leave your question in a relevant post or contact your travel agent. Unfortunately, we cannot respond to emails soliciting advice regarding Disney. Please understand that doing so would take several hours per day, consuming too much time better spent writing blog posts and planning resources for all.
If you need comprehensive or personalized trip planning advice and help booking your trip, we recommend contacting an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner (Disneyspeak for a travel agent). Try our sponsor, Be Our Guest Vacations.
We are just passionate Disney fans writing a blog about our experiences with advice based on those experiences. We are not affiliated with The Walt Disney Company nor is this an official Disney blog, so if you have questions or complaints about a booking with Disney or anything of that sort, you’ll want to contact Disney Guest Services for that.
Thanks,
Tom Bricker
We will be arriving to WDW in a month!! We have reservations at All Star Movies. Have not heard anything about the renovations in a long time. Have they completed them? If not what is the status. when I booked a year ago I was told they would be completed in Feb. Thanks for any help.
Hi Tom,
I’ve read several blogs and really like your content. I want to take my family of 4 (kids; 7 & 14) on a two day trip to Disney World and need help from an expert. I can’t find a blog on the two day pass and want to know (in your opinion) what is the best itenerary. I was thinking arrive early use fastpass, stay late, spend the night there, then repeat. Our family can move quickly, so I think we should be able to handle Day 1 – Animal Kingdom & Epcot Day 2 – Hollywood Studio & Magic Kingdom… But not sure how to tackle.
Your help is appriciated.
Tim
Hey Tom
I got your info regarding the bounce back offer for free Disney Dining in 2020. I notice it says you can book up to 3 rooms for different travel dates. But if my sister and are staying together at A Disney Resort, can we book 2 rooms under the bounce back offer? One in her name and one in mine? If anyone knows for sure, I would appreciate it. We are heading down in a few weeks and hope to book while we are there. Thanks!
Would like to be added to your email list. Really like this blog – good info!
Just a quick but BIG THANK YOU for sending the email about Reservations for Star Wars Land at DW now being live. After several trials and a lengthy wait for the website to respond I managed to grab a reservation at Oga’s Cantina, which will be such a treat for our two 6 and 9-yo kids and not to mention my husband. I’m a first-timer and have learnt so much following your blog. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the detailed and useful information and timely updates!

Hi Tom, love your blog! I just was in Disney World and had an AMAZING experience in World Showcase at Japan’s new restaurant – Takuma Tei. I noticed you didn’t have a review for it yet, and I wanted to recommend the tasting menu to you that comes with the tea ceremony if you do get the chance to try it. It was an incredible dining experience in such a cool atmosphere, it felt like we were directly transported to an omakase restaurant in Japan! Definitely a must do.
Please add me to your list, thanks!
Please add me to your email list for the blog. You came recommended!

Does anyone know if we have a Disney VIsa Card, can we get a discount on tickets purchased through one of the legitimate places like Parksavers.com, etc?
Hello Tom —
Love getting your blog information. However… I’m only getting Walt Disney World information. I would also like the Blog for Disney California Parks.
How do I do that… or can you please add me to that email distribution.
Big Thanks — Have a Magical Day — MM

We will be at Disney World 8.21 – 8.28… Needless to say we are hoping for a soft opening of Star Wars.. Once there is there anyway to know if there is a soft opening? An app or something that would tell us?
Really enjoy all the content on this site. Any news on the beauty and beast bar? Have heard nothing since the announcements in April, which stated it would be opening in fall. Thanks!
looking at staying off site to save some money. Last time we went to disney we stayed on site so didn’t have to worry about transporation. If we stay off site we will have to rent a vehicle. My research is telling me it would be better to drive to disney at that point and not use the hotel shuttles. (we would want to go back and forth from the parks during the day). When we park at disney, are we always parking at the transporation center? Or where else would we be parking? I also understand that we would have to pay to park at disney each day. suggestions on budget friendly hotel options close to the disney parking lots? Also we are a party of 6 with 4 adults

Hi Tom, Ive been watching the Disney Go app/ website for a number of weeks hoping to reserve the Star Wars dessert party. Whilst all other parties are available for our vacation dates, Star Wars only accepts bookings until August 24th. I was wondering if you’d heard anything? Perhaps due to Galaxies Edge opening Disney are stopping this event/ relocating? We arrive Sept 5th.
Any update on the refurbishment of All Star Movies? My family is staying there in October. Also any news on discount packages for October? I was told if one came out after I booked (last Oct) that I could change my rates. Thanks
