Deals for Late 2026 on Hotels of Disneyland Resort

As part of its Christmas 2026 announcements, Disney has revealed new special offers for Halloween and the Holiday season, with room discounts for the general public, and also likely for Annual Passholders and Disney Visa cardholders. This post shares dates & details, commentary about savings, staying off-site vs. on-site, and booking recommendations.

These discounts will be available at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel, Villas at Disneyland Hotel, and Pixar Place Hotel (unlike last year, it’s not excluded!). Savings vary based upon both room category, with prices also increasing during busier rate chart seasons.

That last variable has the biggest impact. If you’re a Californian or live in a nearby state and have flexibility in your travel dates, we’d highly recommend visiting Disneyland during a weekday away from the upcoming holiday weeks–Fall Break/Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, or Christmas. The rack rate charts are less expensive and crowds will hopefully be better.

According to Disneyland, a limited-time hotel offer will be available for booking beginning September 22, 2026, with savings of up to 20% on select stays of three (3) or more nights at Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Pixar Place Hotel, and The Villas at Disneyland Hotel.

This up to 20% off discount will be available for stays from October 11, 2026 through December 18, 2026, subject to availability and restrictions. Here are more details from the fine print:

A consecutive 3-night or longer stay is required, and cancellation of any nights of a stay may affect discount availability. Savings based on the non-discounted price for the same room stay at the same hotel, and is valid for nights from 10/11/2026 through 12/18/2026.

Book from 9/22/2026 through 12/15/2026; travel must be completed by 12/19/2026. Room types included in this offer are Standard, Premium, Deluxe, Duo Studio, Deluxe Studio, 1 Bedroom Villas, Preferred and Woods/Garden/Courtyard rooms; select Concierge rooms and Suites.

Not valid on previously booked rooms. Advance reservations required. Subject to availability as the number of rooms allocated for this offer is limited. Excludes applicable fees and taxes. Limit two (2) rooms per reservation, and occupancy restrictions apply per room. Additional per-adult charges may apply if more than two (2) adults per room.

Offer applied once per reservation and is not valid in combination with any other hotel discounts or offers. Subject to restrictions and change or cancellation without notice. Separate Theme Park admission and Theme Park reservation for same date and same park are required to enter a Theme Park. As nothing is mentioned about Magic Keys, Disney+, Disney Visa, or California residency for eligibility, we assume this is a general public discount.

It’s worth noting that these special offers are usually released with multiple variations, and superior savings available for target affiliations. Here are examples from the same version of the special offer(s) last year at GCH, DLH, and VDH:

• Disney Visa Cardmembers can save up to 20% on select Premium rooms at a Disneyland Resort hotel Sunday through Thursday nights from August 17 to December 19, 2025. Save up to 15% on Standard room types and up to 20% on Premium room types.
• Magic Key Passholders Save up to 15% on select stays at a Disneyland Resort hotel Sunday to Thursday nights from August 17 through December 19, 2025. This offer is valid for Standard and Premium room types.
• The general public can save up to 20% on select stays of 3 or more nights at a Disneyland Resort hotel from August 17 through December 19, 2025.

Based on those details, we would assume there will be similar special offers for Annual Passholders and/or Disney Visa subscribers. Potentially swap out the minimum length of stay for savings over weeknights only.

Another thing to note is that there was previously a special offer for travel dates from May 22 through September 7, 2026, which is why this late 2026 discount has shifted later (both the release date and the travel dates).

With that said, we do find it somewhat surprising that there are seemingly no hotel discounts from September 8 through October 10, 2026. Aside from the very tail end of that when Fall Break starts, that’s not typically a high occupancy timeframe. Perhaps the Magic Key and/or Disney Visa deals will be released first, and cover that window.

One obvious difference between last year and 2026 is that Disneyland has already confirmed that Pixar Place Hotel will be included. That trend began earlier this year, after the reimagined resort was excluded from several consecutive special offers. It would seem the newly-redone hotel smell has worn off. That, or the lack of a private entrance into DCA is impacting bookings.

As for hotel recommendations, if it’s a once in a lifetime trip or special occasion and you’re dead set on staying on-site, we’d highly recommend going with Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. It’s typically the most expensive of the trio, but it’s also the most “worth it” from our perspective. The Grand Californian is a true luxury resort and thematic gem–think of it as the best parts of Wilderness Lodge and Grand Floridian, combined in a single hotel.

Grand Californian is the nicest hotel in Anaheim, and one of the best hotels in Orange County, period. I’ve also found myself drawn more to the Craftsman style over the years, and love exploring the quiet corners of the Grand Californian. If you have enough money to stay at on-site at Disneyland for 3+ nights, you probably have the resources to do GCH. It’s far and away our #1 hotel at DLR. If money were no object, it’s where we’d always stay.

We like Disneyland Hotel, but it’s just not on the same level as GCH. It’s also not usually as inexpensive as Pixar Place Hotel, and is in need of a room refresh and a table service restaurant. This sort of puts it in “no man’s land” at the moment.

It’s a sentimental favorite, a love letter to Walt Disney and his original theme park that fans will adore. However, it’s just not as high of a caliber of a hotel when viewed objectively. DLH is also not nearly as close to the parks–the private entrance into DCA offered at GCH is hugely advantageous.

There are also a ton of great off-site hotels that are within walking distance to the parks and cost much less money than the three Hotels of Disneyland Resort. As you can see in our Disneyland Area Hotel Rankings & Reviews, some of these even rank higher than the off-site hotels.

We refreshed these rankings again before Summer 2026 and added a couple of new hotels. We stay off-site often, and not just for research trips. About 90% of our staycations are at a trio of our personal favorite third party hotels in Anaheim.

Just keep in mind that October through December is also going to be a popular time at the third party hotels in Southern California, so you’re going to be paying premium prices pretty much no matter where you book. Still not nearly as much as the three official hotels would set you back, but much more than the same accommodations would cost right now or in the winter. This is true throughout Southern California, not just at Disneyland. You can score some great deals in the beach cities when it’s a bit colder out!

If you’re looking to book a third party hotel, we do not recommend going through Disneyland’s Good Neighbor search engine, as that’ll cost you more. Instead, book a discounted hotel + ticket vacation package via Get Away Today. In addition to the package discount, some hotels have ‘4th night free’ promos.

You can also save an extra $10 by using code TOURIST at checkout (valid on 2-night and longer stays). This is in addition to any package or bundle savings on tickets and hotels. A lot of these third party hotels will have great rates during the late summer and early fall off-season, too.

Now is just generally a good time to purchase a package if you’re visiting for the heart of the Halloween or Christmas seasons, as Disneyland almost certainly will increase ticket prices shortly after the start of the new fiscal year in October. Buying tickets now will beat that, and lock-in current pre-increase pricing.

Ultimately, enjoying Disneyfied design and themed accommodations could tip the scales in favor of staying at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels if you’re on the fence. However, all of these on-site hotels are pretty pricey, and it’s hard to justify the on-site stay from an objective perspective. The better/easier justification is simply because you want to, whether that means a single-night “treat yo self” stay or going all-out on a deluxe Disneyland vacation.

If you’ve never done Disneyland and want the quintessential first-visit experience, we’d recommend splurging on a brief stay at Grand Californian or Disneyland Hotel if it’s in your budget. If not, you’ll still have a fantastic experience. Either way, saving a bit of money always helps, and that’s what these discounts offer.
