Florida Residents Save Up to 35% Off Disney World Resorts for Fall to Christmas 2023

Walt Disney World is offering a new discount of up to 35% off room rates to Floridians for October through December 2023 resort stays. This shares the details of the special offer, best dates to save the most money, plus sample pricing, commentary, analysis & other info.

This is actually one of several special offers that has been released thus far in 2023 by Walt Disney World. There are also two different deals for Floridians that run from now to July 10 and from the following day through September 28, 2023. This new discount starts a few days after that and runs all the way until December 25, 2023. For these exact same travel dates, there’s a superior special offer for Annual Passholders, and an inferior discount for the general public.

Although there’s considerable overlap between this new Florida resident discount and the general public offer above, this should generally be the better of the two. Nevertheless, it’s worth toggling between the two–we’ve seen some date and resort combos where the general public deal is better. It’s pretty rare, but it does happen!

Florida residents can save on rooms at select Disney Resort hotels:

  • Save up to 30% on stays most Sunday through Thursday nights from October 2 to November 18, 2023, and most nights from November 19 to December 9, 2023
  • Save up to 35% on stays most nights December 10 to December 25, 2023
When you stay at a Disney Resort hotel, you can enjoy the same legendary detail, storytelling and service found in the theme parks—along with an array of benefits.

Here’s the resort by resort Florida resident rate discount chart:

Proof of Florida residency required at check-in. Offer excludes the following room types: 3-bedroom villas and Cabins at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

Additional per-adult charges may apply if more than 2 adults per room at Value, Moderate and Deluxe Resorts and Studios at Deluxe Villa Resorts. Maximum length of stay under this deal is 14 nights.

Here’s what we found for best available rates at Walt Disney World as part of this Fall & Holidays 2023 discount for Florida residents:

This search is for the night of November 27, 2023, which is part of the “Fall” rate season at Walt Disney World. On the rack rate chart spectrum, this is the least expensive time to visit Walt Disney World in October to December 2023. Similarly-priced dates can be found most Mondays to Thursdays from October into early December 2023, and slightly higher (but still relatively reasonable) rates are available until mid-December.

We’ve had readers ask about finding these rate charts whenever we post them. Rather than going off-topic here, refer to 2023 Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Prices (the step-by-step process is towards the bottom).

In general, Friday and Saturday will be the most expensive days of the week, with Sunday through Thursday costing less–but still more than Monday through Wednesday nights. Holiday weeks–and dates closer to Christmas–are also more expensive. Basically, room rates are higher any time when kids are out of school.

In a nutshell, these discounts are a sharp contrast to what we were seeing last year around this time. If you’re really interested in commentary about how this special offer stacks up to those released over the last three years, see our post about the general public Walt Disney World discount for October through December 2023–that offers comprehensive thoughts. Suffice to say, 2023 has by far the best discounts for October through December since 2019.

Ultimately, if you’re a Florida resident who is eager to do a staycation at Walt Disney World between October and December 2023, these deals are actually fairly good–especially with free parking sweetening the deal. Unfortunately, the 2023 Florida Resident Discount for Walt Disney World Park Tickets ends a few days before this discount starts. So for the biggest savings, you’ll really want to visit in August or September. (And since you reside in Florida, tolerating the heat and humidity should be no sweat!)

You can still do slightly better with Disney Vacation Club Point Rentals, but this still might be as good as it’ll get for you. If you’re on the fence, definitely do NOT wait for something better. Availability is already limited, and it’s much more likely that rooms will sell out rather than better discounts will be released. We will be closely monitoring what’s released and will notify subscribers of our free email newsletter when any Walt Disney World discounts are released or rumored!
