Full Food Guide for Pixar Fest at Disneyland: All 100+ Dishes, Desserts, Drinks & Souvenir Stuff

Pixar Fest is the late spring & summer celebration featuring fireworks, new daytime parade, dance parties, other entertainment, and more. Oh, and food. Lots and lots of food. This dining guide shares full menus of the savory snacks, decadent desserts, drinks, available at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure during Pixar Fest.

For starters, Pixar Fest will return to Disneyland Resort from April 26 through August 4, 2024. It’ll start just after the Spring Break season winds down and DCA Food & Wine Festival concludes, and Pixar Fest will end prior to D23 Expo and the start of Halloween Time at Disneyland, which begins earlier than ever this year. As covered in our Guide to Pixar Fest, highlights will include the “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” parade, “Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular,” and Club Pixar.

The big surprise, though, is all of the food. Disneyland already announced that there would be marketplace booths at DCA during Pixar Fest, which effectively means this will have a full ‘festival’ component just like Lunar New Year, Festival of the Holidays, and Food & Wine immediately before it. Since that last festival has booths in the parade route–and Pixar Fest has a parade–it’ll lose some of those kiosks. Still, there is a lot of food at Pixar Fest. Far more than we expected.

The big surprise isn’t the Pixar Fest food booths at Disney California Adventure, it’s everything else. Menu items inspired by Pixar movies and characters have been added…pretty much everywhere…in Disneyland, DCA, Downtown Disney, and the hotels. There’s a lot of stuff that, bluntly, does not look very good. A mess of artificial flavors and colors, or dressed-up stereotypical theme park fare.

There’s also a lot of foods that look fantastic, especially at Disney California Adventure. The biggest winner looks to be Paradise Garden Grill, which is getting an all-Coco menu. This walk-up spot is one of our favorites, and we love relaxing in this corner of the park and listening to live music. It typically has great menus during festivals, but the ‘regular’ menu has been much more hit or miss over the last few years. Even without trying any of the dishes, this looks to be a marked improvement. I’m also looking forward to the pizza next door at Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta. And speaking of pizza…I may regret this, but that Cheeseburger Pizza at Alien Pizza Planet looks enticing.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a seasonal Disney event without a bunch of novelty sippers, popcorn buckets, and that sorta stuff–so if you’re into that sort of thing, there’s a long list of those items at the end of the guide.

Another thing to highlight up top is the Pixar Pals Dessert Package for the “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” parade at Disney California Adventure. The Pixar Pals Dessert Package provides guests with reserved seating along with a selection of delicious desserts to enjoy.

The Pixar Pals Dessert Package includes:

• A delicious selection of Pixar-inspired foods, desserts and cheeses
• Unlimited soft drinks and bottled water—plus coffee and a specialty mocktail
• Reserved seating for parade viewing at Sonoma Terrace

Given that it’s at Sonoma Terrace, that means the Pixar Pals Dessert Package offers actual seats and tables for guests. With that said, it also costs $69 per person. Book this unique offering ahead of time if interested, available soon at Disneyland.com.

Obviously, we have not done the Pixar Pals Dessert Package yet since the parade hasn’t even started. However, the stock photo above looks a lot like what’s served for the World of Color Dessert Party, which I view as one of the worst splurges at Disneyland.

To each their own on this sort of stuff, but this strikes me as something aimed at the FOMO crowd that will not offer commensurate value for money. The DCA parade route is really long, so unless you’re going on a peak date or right at the beginning of Pixar Fest, you probably do not need reserved seating.
