Food Guide to Christmas 2026 at Disney World

Walt Disney World has released its Christmas 2026 menus of seasonal snacks, dishes, desserts and drinks available at Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Magic Kingdom during the daytime hours. This food guide offers a full list and photos of the fall treats, followed by our commentary.

As basic background, the Christmas season at Walt Disney World runs from November 13, 2026 to January 6, 2027, with Jollywood Nights and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party starting before then over the first weekend of November. At the other end of the spectrum, EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays gets a delayed start (as always), beginning on Black Friday and concluding on December 30th. Although the food guide below is pretty comprehensive, it doesn’t quite cover everything. First, we don’t yet have the Food Guide to the 2026 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, including the complimentary cookies and drinks. That’s usually released before this list, so it should come within the next few days. Walt Disney World also hasn’t revealed Holiday Kitchen menus for the 2026 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, but that’s par for the course. Those are usually released as Food & Wine winds down in November.

In terms of commentary, even though the list is long, that’s largely due to Disney Springs. And, no offense to that shopping and dining district, but we do 95% of our holiday snacking at the parks & resorts. Disney Springs has a formidable restaurant roster, to be sure, but the practical reality is that most guests aren’t in a position to do multiple table service restaurants or bars at Disney Springs during the holiday season.

As such, a big chunk of the list is irrelevant to the average Walt Disney World tourist. It’s great for locals who do Disney Springs on a weekly basis, and I’m certainly not knocking the individual restaurants for having special Christmas menus. To the contrary, they should be applauded.

The problem isn’t Disney Springs, it’s the parks. It would also be nice if there were more than a scattering of items during daytime hours in Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. The parks are where the average guest (probably including most locals!) is going to spend their time during the holiday season.

It’s still baffling to me that Walt Disney World puts all of its best seasonal dishes behind the paywall of the parties, especially since they’re going to sell out regardless, and it’s not like ‘exclusive snacks’ is really moving the needle on event ticket sales, whereas it could draw out locals and fans to visit during daytime hours.

To help you cut through the clutter of the lengthy list, we’d first direct your attention to the Plaza Restaurant at Magic Kingdom, which once again gets an expanded holiday menu. That should be a great option this Christmas season, just as is always the case. And although it’s not listed, we’re hoping that a peppermint sundae is coming to the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor next door; that’s our go-to dessert at Magic Kingdom in November and December.

The other noteworthy additions are at Santa’s Holiday Grove in Animal Kingdom, which is the Christmas village near the Theater in the Wild that replaces Christmas in Dino-Rama (since it’s an active construction zone for Tropical Americas). There are several dishes here, but the unequivocal highlight is a holiday edition of Walt Disney World’s big viral dessert of the year. We cannot wait to try the peppermint twist on that already-iconic dessert!

This is the main event. Back when the Halloween food was announced, I was really excited when I first saw the Fall Ice Cream Cookie Dough Sandwich, as I’ve become a huge fan of that viral treat (had it four times in as many months…for quality control research). Unfortunately, that was just cosmetic changes.

This one is an actual Christmas version, complete with peppermint cookie dough. This has the potential to be the highlight of the holiday season (food-wise), and we’re really looking forward to doing thorough research on this dish!
