Full Food Menus for 2026 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party & Magic Kingdom in Fall

Magic Kingdom is conjuring up new menus next month, with Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party exclusive snacks, entrees & desserts, plus all-day dishes and drinks available throughout Fall 2026. This food guide shares photos and details about the spook season treats, along with our commentary.

Walt Disney World’s culinary teams have conjured up some frightfully fun delights for you to indulge in during your day trip to Magic Kingdom with more special treats during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, which starts earlier than ever on August 7, 2026 and runs all the way until the clock strikes midnight on October 31, 2026. During that hard ticket event, the highlight for many guests is obviously trick or treating, with candy like M&M’s, Snickers, and more.

Additionally, several restaurants and snack spots are open during MNSSHP and offer Halloween-themed items that are available for purchase. If our experiences in the past–and the stock photos and descriptions Disney has shared–are any indication, some of these are treats, whereas some are tricks. There are also another dozen dishes & drinks that are available all-day during the spook season at Magic Kingdom…

There’s also a returning upcharge within the upcharge event: Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace. Christopher Nolan fans are calling this one Upchargeception, although in terms of quality, it’s closer to Tenet. (That’s a joke. I actually enjoyed Tenet. I didn’t understand it, but it was a fun ride.)

This totally unnecessary dessert party features Halloween-themed sweet treats and specialty drinks, as well as “exclusive” viewing of the fireworks. Note that Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace does not offer reserved viewing for the Boo to You Parade, just as the normal dessert party does not offer special seating for Starlight. Moreover, the fireworks viewing area is not optimal for parade viewing.

For most Halloween Parties, reserved viewing for Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular is totally unnecessary. Plus, the reserved viewing area is not that great of a spot for viewing the fireworks. (For the best locations, check out our Magic Kingdom Fireworks Viewing Locations Guide.)

The dessert party is a waste of money and time during the 2026 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party from a “fireworks” perspective. If you’re doing it for the desserts, sure, whatever. To each their own on that. It’s very expensive as compared to just buying stuff from this guide a la carte, but some people prefer the perceived convenience. We can’t really argue with that, as it’s subjective.

If you’re going to purchase the dessert party any night during Fall 2026, it should actually be a non-party night. While we aren’t big fans of the normal dessert party, either, the one time it can be extremely valuable is on busier dates from roughly late September through December when MNSSHP and the Christmas Party are held 3-4 times per week. We’d actually recommend the dessert party for Happily Ever After then, especially around peak weeks.

Our Commentary

Let’s start with the positive, which is the pumpkin prevalence. For those keeping score at home, there were only 8 pumpkin-centric dishes two years ago, which tripled to 24 last year with 12 unique dishes. This year, we’re back down to 8 distinct dishes.

However, most of those 8 entries look worthwhile. I’m especially pleased to see pumpkin gelato make a return, both as a standalone option at Plaza and as part of the pumpkin funnel cake at Sleepy Hollow (mine from last year pictured below–it tasted better than it looks).

There’s also a Joffrey’s Cold Brew with pumpkin foam, and a couple of savory pumpkin dishes. My biggest complaint at this point is the lack of pumpkin soft serve over at Auntie Gravity’s. I’m a complete sucker for the salted caramel soft serve, and would love to see pumpkin added to the lineup in the fall.

Otherwise, it’s nice to see more restaurants on Main Street and throughout the park have more ambitious seasonal menus. Magic Kingdom has an atrocious culinary scene, and this helps address that to some degree. Not as much as simply having more interesting menus all of the time, but better than normal.

Unfortunately, the majority of these menus are once again exclusive to the 2026 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. This approach continues to baffle me. I can understand wanting a few party-exclusive snacks, especially photogenic desserts. Those are always a draw at MNSSHP, and helps a bit with event capacity.

The savory entrees are a different story. There’s no way literally anyone has been waiting to buy tickets to the 2026 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party until seeing what Pinocchio Village Haus, Cosmic Ray’s, or Pecos Bill are serving.

Beyond Plaza Restaurant on Main Street, it’s a similar story with the table service restaurants in Fantasyland. The most egregious example of paywalling party menus is Be Our Guest Restaurant and Cinderella’s Royal Table, both of which have seasonal menus that are exclusive to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party for some dumb reason.

We’ve been defenders of Be Our Guest Restaurant for a while, saying it’s still “worth it” for most first-timers so long as they go in with realistic expectations. But this has clearly become an unpopular opinion, with most fans calling Be Our Guest Restaurant overrated or just flat-out bad. Even though our experiences have been positive, it’s impossible to ignore or overlook those who have had bad meals at Be Our Guest.

Anyway, I did this MNSSHP menu at Be Our Guest Restaurant last Halloween and was pleasantly surprised by it. The Cinderella’s Royal Table menu looks really good, and I hope something like this is repeated at Christmas so we can do it as a family.

The menus at Magic Kingdom’s high-capacity counter service restaurants have largely been boring since the 50th Anniversary ended and the interesting items from that disappeared. Having a few entrees as all-day options throughout Fall 2026 would be a much-needed shot in the arm for both quick-service venues.

Beyond that, it’s odd to have so many interesting seasonal entrees at the Halloween or Christmas parties, but not during the day. The average attendee will try maybe one of them, whereas adding these to regular menus gives locals and Annual Passholders an excuse to make repeat visits to Magic Kingdom to try them all. Walt Disney World will need all the excuses they can get to boost attendance in August and September!

While we continue to complain about Magic Kingdom’s criminal culinary scene, Walt Disney World has gotten better as a whole. This is literally the one park that is worse today than it was in October 2021. It’s also fair to point out that Walt Disney World is doing better, overall, on dining than Disneyland. That is something that never used to happen, but it is the case now. Well, Halloween and Christmas at the respective castle parks are the big exception to that; Magic Kingdom should really copy Disneyland’s approach to seasonal menus.
