Last Chance for Newly-Launched Disney Inspire Visa Card’s Spectacular Signup Bonus

Three months after launching, the new Disney Inspire Card will soon reduce its sign-up bonus. Here’s a rundown of the exclusive benefits and rewards of the new co-branded Chase & Visa card, and why you should apply ASAP if you want to take advantage of the $1,000+ in first year bonus that makes this a surprisingly worthwhile wallet addition.
Prior to the introduction of the top tier Disney Inspire, there were previously two Disney credit cards issued by Chase: the Disney Premier Visa Card and the Disney Visa Card. The standard has no annual fee and earns a flat 1% back on all purchases, making it a convenient option if you just want perks without the extra cost and don’t plan on making it your primary credit card.
The Disney Premier Visa Card has a $49 annual fee but offers better cashback benefits, including 2% rewards at gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, most Disney locations, and 1% everywhere else. It also offers 5% rewards on card purchases made directly on Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN streaming services.
If you aren’t looking for a credit card, the Disney Visa Debit Card provides similar perks and park discounts for those with a Chase checking account. This can be a good option if you don’t plan on using the card much, and just want access to park perks and future targeted special offers that’ll inevitably be released in the second half of 2026.
The regular Disney Visa offers a $150 sign-up bonus whereas the Disney Premier Visa offers a $300 sign-up bonus. Both currently requires a minimum spend of $500 in your first 3 months to hit those targets. See our Review & Info: Disney Visa Credit Card by Chase for a rundown of those cardholder benefits.
The Disney Inspire Visa Card is the new top option of the trio, with a $149 annual fee and variety of new perks, including the following exclusive benefits:
- 200 Disney Rewards Dollars after spending $2,000 per anniversary year on U.S. Disney Resort stays and Disney Cruise Line bookings
- $100 statement credit after spending $200 per anniversary year on U.S. Disney Theme Park Tickets
- Up to $120 annual credit on Disney+, Hulu, and Plus.ESPN.com purchases
- Ways to earn Disney Rewards Dollars:
- 10% at DisneyPlus.com, Hulu.com, and Plus.ESPN.com
- 3% at most other U.S. Disney locations and gas stations
- 2% at grocery stores and restaurants
- 1% on all other card purchases
None of this is changing. These rewards and benefits are what the Disney Inspire Visa Card will offer going forward.
The limited-time launch offer is a $300 Disney Gift Card eGift for new Cardmembers upon approval and a $300 statement credit after spending $1,000 on purchases in the first three months from account opening.
This launch offer is available until Monday, May 4, 2026.
Once you add the annual rewards and statement credits of $420 and the $600 sign-up bonus, that amounts to $1,020 in benefits in your first year of holding the Disney Inspire Card. That’s without even counting the value of the discounts or reward dollars earned along the way.
Starting Tuesday, May 5, 2026, approved Disney Inspire Visa Cardmembers will earn a $500 statement credit after spending $1,000 on purchases in the first three months from account opening.
In other words, there’s no instant $300 gift card followed by a $300 statement credit. This amounts to a $100 reduction in total value for the signup bonus, thus reducing the overall first-year benefit from $1,020 to $920. Again, that’s before you ascribe a dollar value to the discounts and earned rewards.
At the risk of stating the obvious, you should apply ASAP if the Disney Inspire Visa makes sense for you (or not at all if it doesn’t…but that’s presumably a given). You can apply on Disneyrewards.com/Inspire.
Additional Disney Inspire Visa Cardmember benefits include:
- 0% promotional APR for 6 months on select Disney vacation packages
- 10% off select purchases at DisneyStore.com
- Cardmember-exclusive character photo opportunities at the Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort
- 10% off select merchandise purchases at select locations at Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort
- 10% off select dining locations most days at Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort
- 15% off the non-discounted price of select guided tours at Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort
- 10% off the non-discounted price of select recreation experiences at Walt Disney World Resort
- Savings aboard Disney Cruise Line for select onboard purchases
- Pay Yourself Back to redeem Disney Rewards Dollars for a statement credit on qualifying Disney and airline purchases
- No foreign transaction fees
Again, these benefits don’t vary based on whether you apply before or after May 4, 2026. They’re the everyday benefits of the Disney Inspire Visa.
Fine Print on $420 Bonus
Since several readers have asked for clarification on what qualifies and doesn’t for the anniversary rewards and statement credit when booking U.S. Disney Parks purchases, we’re sharing the fine print on that below. As you can see from the emphasized sentences below, how you purchase your theme park tickets matters when it comes to the qualifying credit you receive.
It’s safe to assume that anything not mentioned does not count. (Looking at you, DVC dues!) One exception to this might be special events for the ticket credit; those aren’t listed in the example, but I’m guessing/hoping that they do get coded as tickets, and thus qualify.
With Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party ticket sales starting next week, we’ll find out for ourselves very soon. (In the meantime, anyone else have experience with this? Disney After Hours and other events have been on sale for a while since this card launched.)
200 Disney Rewards Dollars on U.S. Disney Resort Spend Each Anniversary Year
You will receive 200 Disney Rewards Dollars automatically applied to your account after $2,000 in Qualifying Purchases each Anniversary Year. Qualifying Purchases are when you use your Disney Inspire Visa Card for U.S. Disney Resort purchases made directly with Disney (including through Disney operated websites, apps or call centers) for Disney Resorts Collection at Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort Hotels, AULANI Resort, Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort and Disney’s Vero Beach Resort.
Qualifying Purchases include Resort hotel rates (including associated taxes and fees) and folio expenses and Resort vacation package purchases (including Theme Park tickets purchased as part of a vacation package). Qualifying Purchases also include Disney Cruise Line stateroom rates booked directly with Disney Cruise Line in U.S. Dollars (which includes associated taxes and fees but excludes folio expenses and port adventures). Purchases made for Adventures by Disney, National Geographic Expeditions or international Disney Resorts or Parks will not qualify. Purchases of Disney Theme Park tickets (unless purchased as part of a Disney vacation package) also do not qualify. (Emphasis added.)
$100 Statement Credit on U.S. Disney Theme Park Tickets Spend Each Anniversary Year
You will receive a $100 statement credit automatically applied to your account after $200 in Qualifying Purchases each Anniversary Year. Qualifying Purchases are when you use your Disney Inspire Visa Card to purchase U.S. Disney Theme Park tickets (including Walt Disney World Annual Passes, Disneyland Magic Key Passes and Disney Water Park Tickets) directly with Disney (including through Disney operated websites, apps or call centers). Disney Theme Park tickets purchased as part of Disney Vacation Packages will not qualify. (Emphasis added.)
“Anniversary Year” means the year beginning with your credit card account open date through the anniversary of your credit card account open date, and each 12 months after that. For accounts that switch to the Disney Inspire Visa Card, the account open date is the date the switch is official in the Chase system.
Please allow 6 to 8 weeks after Qualifying Purchases post to your account for the statement credit to post to your account. The statement credit will be issued for the Anniversary Year in which the transaction posts to your account. For example, if you make a Qualifying Purchase, but the transaction does not post until after your current Anniversary Year ends, the cost of the purchase will be allocated toward the following Anniversary Year’s statement credit.
Our Commentary
As mentioned previously, I’m surprised by just how good the Disney Inspire Visa Card actually is. Like the other co-branded Disney Visa cards by Chase, the Inspire is still not a good everyday use or travel credit card.
However, anyone reading this should be able to pretty easily derive $420 worth of value out of this credit card per year (setting aside the sign-up bonus, since that’s a one-off). You’re almost certainly going to spend that much on park tickets and resort stays, so the only real wildcard is streaming–both whether you subscribe to any Disney-owned services and whether you have a different credit card that offers a credit.
With our comparison of the Disney Visa vs. Disney Premier Cards, we do the math on breaking even based on spending ($4,900 in the higher category, for those keeping score at home). No such category analysis is necessary here, as the breakeven comes from the aforementioned credits and is quite easy to attain. It’s a great day on DTB when I don’t have to do any math. (Well, technically I did add $200 + $100 + $120. And I did it in my head!)
We know that a lot of credit card novices have an aversion to paying annual fees, but the added bonuses and benefits can make it pencil out. That’s true when it comes to the Disney Inspire Visa Card.
Finally, the 10% back on Disney streaming services and 3% back on Walt Disney World and Disneyland purchases (and gas stations) is only mildly intriguing for me. The “problem” with the streaming cash back is that we have other credit cards that offer better incentives on Disney streaming services.
The issue with the 3% back on theme park purchases is that it’s worse than you’re going to do with even the most meager of Disney Gift Card Discounts. Simply having a Target REDcard gets you an automatic 5% discount on any purchase at Target, including gift cards.
Since Target sells Disney gift cards both online and in-store, it’s an easy way to save 5% on your Walt Disney World vacation–and superior to the 3% back that the Inspire card offers. With that said, I have found that, as a practical reality, I find myself paying with a credit card at the parks from time-to-time (gasp), and having this credit card will make me cringe at the lack of savings a little less when I do.

YOUR THOUGHTS
Thoughts on the Disney Inspire Visa Credit Card? Do the $420+ worth of statement credits and rewards justify upgrading to this card for you? Would you like to see a Visa Infinite Disney Card? I should have looked more carefully at this a few months ago, but I saw the rewards earn (which is not as good as our Chase Sapphire Reserve for Disney hotel and DVC dues spending) and thought I saw just a $300 sign up bonus and thought, maybe one of these days just to earn the bonus. I finally took a closer look and realized the annual statement credits are so easy for us to earn and very worth it – I knew I should have read Tom’s article to begin with!
Looking at it now though, it says it’s a “New Offer” – but they have the $300 gift card again or still just for signing up. The initial bonus after the $1,000 spend is down to $200 though. So unfortunately down $100 from what it could have been, but we’re going to sign up here soon for the long term statement credits.
Thanks for breaking this all down! Did you find out if the special events qualify toward the Disney Parks purchases?
Just applied for mine and already got the $300 gift card. Using my Marriott Bonvoy points for 3 nights at the Swan, the new Inspire card for tickets (with $100 statement credit), a $50 airline credit on my Bonvoy Card, and the $300 statement credit after spending $1000, I’m getting my first solo trip for 3 days in July for just under $700. Can’t beat that! Thank you so much for alerting me to this offer!!!!!
What is the benefit for DVC members when our vacation stays are already paid for through our points?
We signed up for the inspire card about 7 weeks ago. I received $300 gift card when approved. I made $2000 payment using the card on an upcoming trip and received $300 credit on my bill as well as $200 Disney reward dollars. I have also earned another $100 in reward dollars from purchases so far. I paid $149 annual card fee but have received $900 so far in benefits. The card makes sense as long as we continue visiting Disney.
For purchases “directly through Disney,” do authorized Disney travel agents count?
I called the folks at the credit card to ask this question. This is what I was told:
1) For the $2000 per anniversary year, can the booking be done through a travel agent?
Answer: It has to show up on the credit card statement as Disney. As long as that’s the case, then it’s fine. (i.e., not charged to the travel agent.)
I haven’t actually done the process, but my understanding is that is how it works in general.
We just applied for this last month. I already have a Disney visa but applied to this card under my husbands name (w me as authorized user). I think it wouldn’t have mattered if it were either of us.
We applied last month to use to pay our approx $6k vacay to Disney world this summer. We compared our current cards and nothing came close to the amount of $ and credits and gift cards we’ll get on this. Excited to get my stitch card in the mail!
Hello, I am wondering if you know-do all the offers for the new Inspire card apply to people that already have Disney Visa and want to switch to new card? thanks very much.
The benefits listed are specifically for the Disney Inspire card.
Just sign up for the card and get all the sign-up bonuses.
You can cancel your old card, but I just kept it.
I called today and was told by the customer service representative that because I already have the Disney Premier VISA card I can switch to the Inspire card but would not receive the $1,000 plus offered. Only available to new card holders.
I know that it isn’t listed in the fine print but I’ve seen a number of references online that the $100 ticket credit can be obtained through Lightning Lane purchases. Anybody had this happen?
Yes, this appears to have been the case, b/c I have no other explanation.
We had already purchased our Disneyland tickets through an official reseller prior to the Disney Inspire being announced, so I figured we would not be getting the $100 credit. But last month, I got the $100 credit, and it was clearly labeled “DISNEY TICKET CREDIT”. My only explanation is that this is from the LLMPs that I had purchased during our trip (which did total over $200).
Yes – we have a 100 Ticket credit for our LL purchases for our most recent trip in April.
I was wondering the same for After Hours Tickets.
