New Harmonious Fireworks Dining Packages at Epcot
Walt Disney World has announced two new fireworks dining packages that will debut alongside Harmonious at Epcot. This post covers dates, pricing, and full details about these multi-course meals coming to Spice Road Table and Rose & Crown Dining Room for World Showcase Lagoon’s new nighttime spectacular.
Per Walt Disney World, these Harmonious Dining Packages will begin on October 1, 2021. As background, Harmonious will be the largest ever Walt Disney World nighttime spectacular—essentially a fireworks show on steroids. Harmonious will bring to World Showcase Lagoon an innovative toolkit of massive floating set pieces that house a variety of show effects, including custom-built LED panels, choreographed moving fountains, colorful lights, lasers, pyrotechnics and more.
These Fireworks Dining Packages start on the same date that Harmonious debuts and the World’s Most Magical Celebration kicks off. (As always, see our Guide to Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary for more info!) Let’s take a look at which each entails…
Per Walt Disney World, the Spice Road Table Fireworks Dining Package features a multi-course meal infused with Mediterranean flavors as you take in the nighttime spectacular, Harmonious.
For those unfamiliar with it, Spice Road Table is an open-air restaurant located on the waterfront in the Morocco pavilion. You’re not alone if you haven’t dined here–it’s typically among the easiest in-park Advance Dining Reservations to book. While we enjoy Spice Road Table, it’s not particularly popular–probably why it’s getting a Harmonious Dining Package!
After checking in for the Spice Road Table Fireworks Dining Package, you’ll be escorted to a covered, outdoor dining area reminiscent of the cafes from the Moroccan seaside. Spice Road Table offers Mediterranean small plates, such as Grilled Lamb Kefta, House-made Hummus Fries, and Spiced Chicken.
The Spice Road Table Dining Package includes:
- Two small plates
- Dessert platter
- Unlimited beverages
Guests must be 21 years of age or older to consume alcoholic beverages. A valid form of government identification will be required to verify your age.
Pricing for the Spice Road Table Fireworks Dining Package is $72 per person (ages 10 and up), inclusive of tax and gratuity and $31 per child (ages 3 to 9), inclusive of tax and gratuity. Theme park admission is required, but not included in the price of this package. Disney Park Pass theme park reservations are also required and not included.
The Spice Road Table Fireworks Dining Package will be available to book online starting September 23, 2021.
Next, there’s the Rose & Crown Fireworks Dining Package held on a lakefront patio in the waterfront side of the United Kingdom pavilion with great views of Harmonious, Epcot’s new nighttime spectacular.
After checking in, you’ll be seated outside on the patio at Rose & Crown Dining Room overlooking the waters of World Showcase Lagoon. This popular restaurant serves up classic British fare, with the dining package including a prix fixe menu where you can choose:
- One appetizer
- One entrée
- Dessert platter
- Unlimited beverages
Guests must be 21 years of age or older to consume alcoholic beverages. A valid form of government identification will be required to verify your age.
Pricing for the Rose & Crown Fireworks Dining Package is $89 per adult (ages 10 and up), inclusive of tax and gratuity and $39 per child (ages 3 to 9), inclusive of tax and gratuity. Theme park admission is required, but not included in the price of this package. Disney Park Pass theme park reservations are also required and not included.
The Rose & Crown Fireworks Dining Package will be available to book online starting September 23, 2021.
On a tangentially related note, no official word yet on the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party. Given that Walt Disney World just announced the return of three Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties, we assume the Epcot incarnations won’t be far behind–but it would’ve made sense to announce them alongside this.
It’s possible the Epcot Fireworks Dessert Parties won’t return right away or they’re being reworked to feature Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure instead of Frozen Ever After. It’s also possible Disney is focusing on private event dessert parties for Epcot right now, as group bookings are always big business this time of year (although normally that’s due to conventions, which still aren’t doing their normal numbers).
In terms of commentary for the two Epcot Fireworks Dining Packages, the obvious starting place is pricing. The food included in the dining package at Spice Road Table would cost around $30 out of pocket, so you’re essentially paying $42 for the reserved seating and unlimited alcohol.
At Rose & Crown Dining Room, the out of pocket price range is larger, but probably around $45 on average. That puts the reserved seating and unlimited alcohol at $44.
Whether that’s fair depends upon your perspective. If you’re a couple and would otherwise order 3-4 drinks while “pregaming” for Harmonious–that much booze should make all those colorful fountains and flashing lights even more impressive–it’s easily worth it. That’s about the break-even point that makes the reserved viewing no added cost.
If you’re a family with kids, non-drinkers, or will only have two alcoholic beverages or fewer, it’s not quite as clear. The math should be pretty straightforward, so I’ll let you figure that out for yourselves. For many people, there are also unquantifiable pros and cons of doing these dining packages.
One such additional consideration that we’d recommend giving some thought before booking either of these Epcot Fireworks Dining Packages is the views they’ll offer of Harmonious. We used to love and highly recommend the area around Rose & Crown Dining Room for IllumiNations. Likewise, Spice Road Table was great for the Epcot Forever fireworks.
However, that’s not necessarily true for Harmonious. It’s hard to assess views of a nighttime spectacular that has not yet debuted, but Rose & Crown appears to offer a side vantage of the Stargate plus clear views of two tacos. Not bad, but not great.
Conversely, Spice Road Table appears to be at least partially obstructed from the Stargate and tacos by islands in World Showcase Lagoon. (I’m going off of memory here–I’ll take another look and update when we next visit Epcot.)
Personally, I wouldn’t book either of these dining packages until Harmonious debuts and there’s some info about best and worst viewing locations. That is, unless I planned on seeing the new nighttime spectacular more than once, and these dining packages were more about the unlimited alcohol, food, and guaranteed seating. (Unfortunately, waiting may not be an option for many of you–these will likely book up quickly.)
That’s just my perspective, though. It’s probably worth “disclosing” that I’m not a huge fan of any dining packages or dessert parties at Walt Disney World. In my opinion, they are generally overpriced for what’s offered, capitalizing on fear and uncertainty about securing a spot for nighttime spectaculars with promises of “guaranteed” seating.
The problem with that is the reserved viewing locations are often nothing special–inferior to what you could obtain on your own with a similar time commitment. Ninety minutes before Harmonious, you could order several dishes from Epcot Food & Wine Festival booths and grab your choice of spots (sending a runner for more drinks as needed). You’d likely come out ahead monetarily and have complete freedom of choice over your viewing location and foods/drinks you buy.
Of course, that’s simply my opinion–and seemingly a minority viewpoint, at that. Many others absolutely love dessert parties and dining packages, giving them rave reviews and repeatedly booking them. That’s perfectly fine–not everything is for everyone, and variety is the spice of life. I’m simply sharing my take while making clear that you might very well have a different perspective. I’d much rather splurge on something else, but that’s just me!

YOUR THOUGHTS
Will you be booking any of the new Epcot Fireworks Dining Packages for the debut of Harmonious and Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary? Which of the two sounds most appealing to you? Kathryn, I saw the fireworks presentation back in July at Epcot. I was on a scooter. My daughter and I found a wheelchair viewing spot that was roped off and had a cast member in there, so you could be sure no one edges in and blocks the view!
We are looking forward to booking a dining package for the new show. For us, it’s not about trying to get your money’s worth in drinks – it’s about having a nice sit down meal, over the water, and being able to relax and take in the atmosphere (while being served a yummy cocktail) at the end of a long wonderful day in the park. This is more about a great spot away from the foot traffic to soak in all the Harmonious Magic! Fingers crossed we get a reservation!
Hi Tom
I currently have reservations for Rose and Crown on Friday, November 5th. I booked this before the dining/show packages were announced. I was hoping to wait for a table outside so I could have a nice viewing spot. However it looks like I will be relecated to indoors if I don’t pay the high price tag. 🙁 Where would you suggest I get dinner reservations for 2 to view the new show? i was also trying not to spend a fortune on one meal. I really don’t want to spend a lot of time standing waiting to view the show. I am only going to be in Epcot one day on my vacation.
Thank you for all your help and advice!
very clever with the hyperlink- thanks! And also thanks for the pic I agree. The humor here is awesome too- a taco and half an onion ring ;-D I agree, those things are an eyesore.
Hello Tom! We appreciate all the great information you provide. . .so helpful! Ok to my question. . .we have reservations at La Hacienda de San Angel at 7:45pm. Do you think I should attempt to schedule Spice Road Table instead for a better view of the new night time show? I appreciate your input. Thanks!
Given what appears to be limited viewing from R&C, I’m with Disneymom on this one; I’d like to see a another package like a Ratatouille package if it comes with better viewing.
I’m a hard pass on these particular dining packages. But, would love to see a Ratatouille dessert party (ride included) or dinner pkg that includes the new french restaurant w prime viewing for fireworks (like the old Fantasmic dinner pkgs). Miss Fantasmic…heavy sigh.
Back to school time , so I haven’t been able to read all the Disney news. Have we heard anything about jingle Bam or Star Wars dessert parties at hollywood studios ?? I might consider the Rose and Crown as this is one of only 2 countries we haven’t eaten . Thanks Tom for the info
We book the viewing parties for a completely different reason. My son is in a wheelchair. The parties give him a better chance of seeing at least part of the show. And people aren’t jostling and pushing his chair so they can get a better view. Or at the last minute someone steps right in front of him blocking his view. We do miss the show on the castle though. You can’t see it at the dessert parties.
We already have a regular dinner booking at 8:10 pm and was hoping to go out to their patio afterwards for viewing. However, since they’re going to reserve outdoor seating and patio for the package, and, if the view won’t be all that great, I think I’ll just cancel but I’ll wait for all the R&C dining package reviews to come in first.
Honestly, all the announced fireworks parties/dining are kinda rip-offs. You have to either eat a lot of dessert or drink a lot of alcohol to have any value. (And I will keep screaming that for dining plans and dining events that include alcohol, it is ludicrous to price 10-21 year olds as adults).
I miss the Fantasmic dining packages and wish they had something like it for Harmonious / Enchanted. I don’t mind an upcharge for good events seating but at Harmonious, easy to get a good view… no reason to pay a $40+ upcharge for so-so viewing angles. For the dessert parties, if you don’t drink lots of alcohol, you’re paying about $70-$80 just for a reserved viewing area. (kinda hard to value stale cookies and cupcakes at more than $20).
That’s quite a hefty price tag for kids between the ages of 10 and 20 who cannot have alcoholic beverages and are not normally big eaters. I think it’s disgraceful how Disney manipulates and nickel and dimes their guests to extract as much money as they can from them. And sadly, those with smaller wallets are left behind.
So, if you have a dinner reservation at Rose & Crown at the end of September (which we did prior to canceling our trip) and were hoping for a patio table (which we have always been able to get on previous trips), you are probably not getting one. Just another ‘punishment’ in a long line of ‘punishments’ for those with limited incomes.
With the removal of free Fast Pass and with extra attraction fees, a day at a Disney park costs a lot more than just the price of admission, which itself isn’t exactly cheap.
I think those of us who already have a reservation at R&C won’t get patio seating. Those primo seats will go to those that paid the extra $$$.
@Maggie, thanks for that pic, and thanks Tom for your thoughts. This was the post I was waiting for. I was thinking if I miss out on a Space 220 ADR for 10/2 I might do this as a consolation prize, especially since the reservations open on different dates. Y’all have thoroughly talked me out of it haha.
What happens if we already have dining reservations for Rose & Crown? I booked for 8:15pm so we would potentially have a good seat for the show.
Hope the show makes up for the mess we see in the Lagoon during the day
As for the fountains I wasn’t expecting the Bellagio but should get something more than what Maggie is showing in her URL – just about the same water pressure you get out of one of Disney’s water bubblers
There really should be a separate price for those between 10 ad 20 who can’t drink, as this was obviously priced with alcohol in mind.
Charging the adult price for (10-20) is and has always been an outrageous Disney price gouge! Why should that group subsidize the unlimited alcohol of those 21 and over?
There should be a “with” and without” alcohol offering for each age group. Those over 21, who don’t drink, shouldn’t have to subsidize either.
URL in my name is the picture for reference. Though, to be honest the ‘fountains’ are only slightly more useful at hiding the structures than closing your eyes.
I was in Epcot at Spice Road table’s outdoor Patio on August 23 when they did fountain testing, and after looking at the pictures I took? It’s not the most advantageous location. I can see the Stargate from about a 45 degree angle just peeking over the edge of one island, but that was from the furthest corner of the Spice Table road patio which means it would be more obscured the closer to the restaurant you get. Depending on where you stand you also will likely get a tree in front of at least one of the tacos that are facing you. So…you get one taco and a half an onion ring for viewing at Spice Table Road.
