Disneyland Christmas Time Lapse Video
Here’s my first time lapse video, shot at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure during the Christmas-time season. Hope you enjoy it! After I made this video, I followed up with a Walt Disney World Christmas Time Lapse Video.
This is my first real try at shooting time lapse “in the field” and it was a lot of fun, and a great learning experience. I wasn’t able to capture everything I wanted to capture due to time constraints (the thousands of still images here were all shot over the course of a 4-day weekend), but I am pretty proud of the results. I shot all of the photos with my Nikon D3100 and Nikon D7000 DSLR cameras, edited it in Windows Movie Maker, and added music from “Believe… In Holiday Magic!” fireworks.
Feel free to share the video on your website, Facebook, Twitter, or anywhere else! Thanks for all of your support this year, and Merry Christmas!

Your Thoughts…
Did you enjoy this Disneyland time lapse video? Do you have a favorite scene? Have you ever visited Disneyland Resort during the holidays? Hearing from you is half the fun, so please share your thoughts and questions in the comments!
I’m arriving a couple years late, but just wondering if the e-book is still available? The link to it is broken, and I couldn’t find it on an amazon search.
Also, the time-lapse video is fantastic! I’ve never been to Disneyland at Christmas, and it’s made me want to go!!
Unfortunately, it is not. Some of the information had become outdated, so it was time to retire the book. Thanks! 🙂

Awesome video Tom good job I enjoyed it
Wow! I am in awe! Do you need an apprentice???? Again, I am in awe!
Very good to see that half the profits will go to Toys For Tots!
Congrats on the ebook and great job on the time-lapse video, Tom. I know that was a labor of love. About how many frames did it take to put this together? Also, did you shoot it all in one day, or over multiple days?
Just purchased and read the book. I am totally blown away. I’ve been to Disneyland hundreds of times, taken tens of thousands of pictures and yet your photos are so wonderful and unique it feels like I’m seeing it for the very first time. Bravo! Bravo!
Great job Tom on the video. Lots of work and it came out awesome!
Love, love, love the video! What’s the background music? It’s so festive…
If I don’t have a Kindle or an iPad can I still view the book on my regular computer?
You’ll need a Kindle reader (here’s the computer one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/ref=kcp_pc_mkt_lnd?docId=1000426311) but yes, you can!
Awesome Thanks!
BTW, That video is awesome! The pace of the frames goes so will with the music. Also loved your wave at the end. Really, really well done!
Sorry didn’t scroll down enough on my previous entry.
Outstanding video the visuals and music meshed well, awesome job! Any more in the works?
What about a day at EPCOT, AK may also be interesting with time lapsed animals and the music possibilities are endless.
A computer or tablet would probably be the way to go. Color pictures don’t generally translate that well to a 6.5″ black and white eInk device.
Yeah, in my tests, it definitely looked a lot better on Kindle for iPad, Kindle for PC, Kindle for iPod/iPhone, than it did on black and white Kindles. I would imagine it also looks good on the Fire.
