New Outfits for Disney!
Looking for something cute to wear to Walt Disney World? Over the last few months, I’ve been putting together new outfits for the parks that are cute and comfortable. This clothing incorporates Disney into my park hopping styles. I’m not strictly talking Disneybounding; these are more of a hybrid, with actual Disney prints on dresses.
I like to think of it as “Disney Style,” with some outfits meant to evoke the look of certain characters, and other pieces being officially licensed Disney clothes made by third parties that actually have specific characters on them. I like these types of outfits because they are cute and comfortable.
If you follow me on Instagram, you probably know what I’m talking about, because I’ve been posting photos of myself at Disneyland and our recent visit to Walt Disney World in the parks with these Disney Style outfits. A lot of people have had questions about these clothes both on social media and in the parks, so I thought it would be a good time to post some of my favorites, along with some details, and where you can find it.
Note that these are some specific dresses and other clothes I’ve worn recently, if you’re looking for my style tips or where I shop, check out my What to Wear to Disney post. If you want to know how to give your own styles some Disney flair, read my Accessorizing for the Disney Parks post.
Here are some of the outfits I’ve worn to Walt Disney World and Disneyland recently…
“I Am Buzz Lightyear” Skater Dress – To infinity and beyond! I’ve bought a few relatively inexpensive dresses that mimic the look of a character recently, and this is my favorite. The cut in this is great, and it resembles Buzz Lightyear without being over the top. You’ll see they have other Toy Story characters available, too. I haven’t bought those…yet.
Star Wars “I Am R2D2” Dress – This is a comfortable one that fits looser than the following dresses. The fabric is also a little thicker, so it’s better for a fall day than a summer day with sweltering heat. The design here is cool even if you’re not into Star Wars, and this is a dress that gets a lot of compliments. My only complaint is that the dress is a bit short…but so is R2D2. 😉
Aurora Pink Skater Dress – This is the dress at the top of the post. It is really comfortable, breathable, and fits nicely without being too tight. For me, the length was just right. I was confused for a Power Ranger a couple of times, which might be cooler than a Sleeping Beauty dress!
Frozen Elsa Skater Dress – I know everyone has Frozen overload, but this is a nice, inexpensive dress. It’s great for a hot day, and fairly conservative. There’s also an Anna Dress, but I ended up returning that because the cut and way it was sewn were awkward on me, and quality was rubbish.
Ariel Vs Ursula Inside Out Dress – BlackMilk dresses are so comfortable and perfect to wear in the summer’s heat! These dresses are high quality and also scream Disney, which is why I originally fell in love with them! Unfortunately, these dresses are not currently available directly from BlackMilk. I’m not sure if they have another Disney line planned, but it will be here if they do.
Figment Styles – In the last six months or so, Disney has released a few really cool unisex Figment items that actually resemble Figment. For example, the front of this cute hoodie is Figment’s stomach, and the back has wings and horns. I really like it, but the $60 price was tough to justify. I did buy the hat, which was much more reasonable at $20. There’s also a yellow t-shirt that Tom liked. To my knowledge, this is all only available at Epcot, but I’m mentioning it and posting another photo because I saw from Tom’s Epcot Update post that many of readers were interested in it.
Summer Yukata Kimono – You won’t be able to get this exact one since we got ours from Tokyo Disneyland and this definitely isn’t an everyday style, but if you are looking for something lightweight to wear to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, a yukata is a great choice. I got a lot of compliments on mine, and a parasol is a cheap way to complete the look (I got mine for $10).
Regardless of your style preferences, always remember to pack, breathable clothing and shoes with great traction that are extremely comfortable.

YOUR THOUGHTS…
What did you think of these dresses? Any stylish finds of your own that you’d recommend? If you have any questions or thoughts to share, please post them in the comments. We love hearing from readers!
Hey Sarah,
Great post. Thanks for writing. My wife wears Disney but in a different way than from this post. Her favorite ride at Disneyland is Alice, because it was the first ride we went on during our first trip to Disneyland–so she likes to wear these Alice earrings that she bought at a convention. It’s Alice on one ear and the White Rabbit on the other. And she has Mickey earrings. She’s also really into Totoro right now so she has Totoro purses/pins/headbands/etc, also from conventions. And I bought her a Monster’s Inc shirt from Hot Topic, the one with the stylized Sulley and it just says “kitty!” at the bottom.
Excellent post Sarah! Keep them coming.
Hi Sarah,
Thank you so much for sharing this with us, I absolutely love your style in the parks! I hope you will write more, it is so nice to have a feminine perspective. I always like when Tom includes what you think about restaurants and food choices in his posts and would love to know more about some healthy food choices in the parks and also how you keep your hair looking so amazing in the lovely Florida humidity. Thank you!
I wore several dresses to the parks this last trip partially because I’ve seen photos of you in dresses on here! I wear a black dress to shoot outdoor weddings when it’s 150 million degrees with 99% humidity in Tennessee, and it’s so nice and breathable, so I figured a dress would be great for the parks. Correct! Woo! The only thing I didn’t think of until I’d already gotten several to wear is that I’d like to have pockets. I only have a couple of dresses with pockets and they’re too dressy, so I just had to carry my phone in my hand at the parks, which was annoying.
So if you come across any great Disney dresses with pockets, do share!
Hey Kristi!
Thank you for sharing your park touring dress experience! I’m glad it worked well for you!
I haven’t found any good dresses with pockets yet… I agree that pockets would be so useful!
Hello!
Thank you for a nice post with some great photos. I have a question, if that’s ok. May I ask your height, Sarah? Your dresses are lovely, and I’d be interested in how the lengths would work on a tall girl!
Hey Claire!
I think that I’m 5’5! Happy shopping!
These dress designs are super-cute, but Sarah, really, tell us – how practical are they? I can’t see anyone climbing in out of rides with something like that on. I guess if you are going to stroll around or for dinner reservations- this is perfect attire? Do share more soon! Cute pics!
Hey Christie!
I almost always wear dresses to the parks and don’t have an issue riding attractions. I would recommend wearing something under the dress like spandex shorts!
Thanks Sarah! â¤ï¸ The post! My daughter loved the dresses too.
I’ve looked into Blackmilk clothing and it is a little expensive, but I’d love to get some of their stuff someday. Hot Topic has a lot of Disney stuff, but shipping to Canada can be expensive. I have a really nice dress that has Ariel on it that I love, and some lightweight sweaters that I hope to be able to wear on my trip next November. It’s nice to have stuff that is obviously Disney, but also nice to have things that are more subtle. Do you normally wear sandals with your dresses? I always like to wear shoes because of the support, but they wouldn’t really go with a dress very well. It’s nice to see you post Sarah!
Hey Kelsey,
The BlackMilk clothing is super expensive… Have you checked out Amazon for more reasonably priced options?
I’ve been wearing OluKai Ohana Sandals recently and love them. They are very comfortable and offer great support!
Thanks for reading! I hope you have a great time visiting the parks in November!
You’ve achieved something with this post I wouldn’t have thought possible; making me a Star Wars fan!
Ha! 😉
Lovely as always Sarah!
Thank you! 🙂
This post was great. Your Disney style is on point. Yes Black Milk! I have the Disney Princess Legs and Bambi Legs. I love them so much. Did I also see you wearing the Jungle Book dress in another post as well?
Hey Caitlin!
I’m glad you enjoyed my post! The BlackMilk leggings are awesome! I’d love to see a photo of you wearing them!
Yes, I have the Jungle Book dress, too!
Hi Sarah!
Here’s a link to my public Instagram account so you can see the beautiful Disney leggings.

We’re planning a Disney world trip for next year and these are 100% making it into the parks!
Yeah!!! More Sarah posts please! Thanks for sharing these awesome style secrets!
Thanks! Anything else you’d like me to cover in a future post?
Nice post, but I’m torn.
While I would like to share this with my wife as I think she would really like some of these dresses, I fear for our finances if that would be the case.
I’m assuming that you will be posting fashion tips for men too? Perhaps with a special Tie-Dyed section to boot?
YAY!!!!! I am officially requesting a Sarah corner.
My question though when I see you in your super cute outfits is always “What’s shoes is she wearing with that?”
I always LOVE your outfits and that you wear dresses – but I can never pair together walkable shoes and a cute dress at the same time.
I wear shoes by Clark’s in the parks. They are super comfortable and able to be dressed up for dinners. The style of sneakers or a Keen style shoe are just not for me so Clark’s are perfect…comfy and cute.
Hey Rachel!! 🙂 🙂
I always stick with very comfortable shoes! This past year I’ve been wearing the OluKai Ohana Sandals and love them! I’ll update you after finding a comfortable winter option!
Thanks for reading!
Forget fashion- Sarah give this girl some of your work out tips! Your body is unbelievable!
ha! You are so sweet, Rebecca! Outside of Disney I am passionate about nuturion (not dieting). I also love pilates and spinning! 🙂
Well, Sarah. You’re as cute as a button!
I would need to wear leggings under those tiny dresses but I’m glad to know they’re out there. They are so cute!
Thanks for the information!
Hi Tamara!
Leggings can be rocked under the dresses!
Love Blackmilk! I have a few pieces from them (dresses and leggings) and the fit and material is always awesome.
I love their dresses! They are so comfortable and fun… just a little pricey!
Yay! I’m glad that we get to hear from Sarah! Not that we don’t like Tom, of course. I hope to see more in the future, whether it has to do with fashion or just another perspective of your travels and experiences.
Agreed! So refreshing to hear a feminine perspective, too! (Makes this delightful site all the better!)
Thanks!
Wow, a Sarah post! And on your great style, no less! Thank you!
Thanks for reading! 🙂
Oh wow, what great photos of you in these dresses! Whomever follows you around the park with a camera must be a really rockin’ photographer. Also, I have a sneaking suspicion that the photographer is quite handsome, too. Just a guess. 😉
Nice post, dear!
It’s a shame I can’t +1 this comment.
Thank you Sarah! You are so stylish at the park, I never look that nice when I am at the parks. You should do more guest posts! It would be nice to get your perspective on things (no offense Tom).
Thanks for reading my post! I will start to post more! 🙂
