Here are other “Know Before You Go” details from Walt Disney World…
Reservations
Advance reservations are highly recommended. Same-day reservations can be made on a limited basis and are subject to availability.
(Our note: It’s highly unlikely that’ll be possible with this–between the 50th Anniversary crowds and new Disney Enchantment fireworks, this should sell out well in advance on a nightly basis.)
Checking In
Please arrive at Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant 90 minutes prior to showtime.
Showtimes
Please check the entertainment schedule on DisneyWorld.com or in the My Disney Experience mobile app for the night schedule of Disney Enchantment.
Standing Only
Plaza Garden viewing is standing-room only.
Fireworks
Fireworks are not guaranteed as part of this experience; on rare occasions, evening fireworks may be rescheduled or cancelled. Please refer to the entertainment schedule or call (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 to confirm showtimes 2 weeks prior to your reservation, and check again the day of your reservation. Guests under 18 years of age must have parent or guardian permission to call.
In terms of commentary, the obvious starting place is pricing. These increased by $10 to $20 each in February just before the closure when alcohol was added. They’re now all increasing again by another $10 to $20 each (depending upon which one you do).
Whether that’s “fair” depends upon your perspective. Is this a second price increase in the course of ~2 months of operational time for the dessert parties, or in the course of ~20 months of real time?
I still remember back when Tomorrowland Terrace offered free first-come seating. When the Fireworks Dessert Party debuted as a test offering roughly a decade ago, we opted not to do it. Given that we didn’t love the view from the Noodle Station seating area, the $25 price tag seemed steep for desserts. Now, the idea of unlimited desserts for $25 at Walt Disney World seems so quaint!
Our thinking was that the mirror image view of what Tomorrowland Terrace offers is free and often uncrowded. (See our Best Magic Kingdom Fireworks Viewing Locations for our recommendations, plus a color-coded map of where to watch—and where to avoid.)
When it comes to Disney Enchantment, we’re even more skeptical of these viewing locations. From either the Plaza Gardens or Tomorrowland Terrace, you won’t be able to see projections on Main Street. Personally, in all of the castle parks that have those projections, I prefer watching from about halfway up Main Street to be fully “immersed” in the experience.
Obviously, that won’t be strictly necessary to enjoy Disney Enchantment. Some people will prefer being closer to Cinderella Castle for those effects and low level pyro. It’s really a matter of personal preference. With that said, the Plaza Gardens are objectively better viewing locations than Tomorrowland Terrace. The only advantage the latter offers is seating.
As I’ve said repeatedly in the past, I’m not a fan of Walt Disney World’s dessert parties. In particular, none of the Magic Kingdom offerings have seemed “worth it” when comparing my experience to the cost of seeing fireworks in terms of time staking out a spot and buying desserts. They’re fun, no doubt, but the cost is really steep and they’re just not a splurge that has generally been appealing to us.
With that said, other guests absolutely love Walt Disney World’s dessert parties. There’s something about the mix of exclusivity, a private event space, all you can eat sweets, and a stress-free viewing location for nighttime spectaculars that’s a winning formula. Add alcohol to the mix, and Magic Kingdom’s fireworks parties will likely become more popular than ever.
If this combo appeals to you, disregard my opinion and book one of these Disney Enchantment Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties. (Especially if your budget is unlimited and there’s no opportunity cost.) If you’re considering the parties only because of FOMO, give it some more thought and determine what, specifically, appeals to you about the dessert parties and why they would (or wouldn’t) be worth the money to you.

Do you know why baskin robbins has 42 flavors
because people want options
if you don’t like the price life is easy – select a position on Main Street and enjoy the show.
If you want another option – and yes there is a price then you pay for the higher level of service.
Just like when you purchase a chysler Cordoba with the fine Corithian Leather

Why is a 10 year old the same price as someone who is over 21 and can at least have an alcoholic beverage? That’s a rip off….
Of course 59 bucks isn’t much better of a price for kids.
Price gouging at its best. At least give a discount to those who don’t drink alcohol. Stop ripping us off disney, or soon you won’t have anyone TO rip off.
Those who run Disney are using the 50th Anniversary Celebration to fleece us with outrageous pricing. There is no end to their thirst for profits over consideration of the financial limitations of their guests, I being a Passholder one of them.
@Zach – I was at WDW last week and had the same concern. I’m glad there was indoor masking, given the current numbers. Disney was fairly good about enforcing the rule too. Outdoors mostly it was uncrowded enough that I felt ok without a mask, although some people did wear them and I wouldn’t have stood out if I did.
When it came to the fireworks, that was the most crowded outdoor situation I was in. I wore a mask and there were enough others with masks on that I was able to surround myself with other masked people, which felt a bit safer than being squished in with unmasked, unvaxxed masses. I was right in the hub near the partners statue, with a great view.
That said, YMMV on a busy day and when fewer people are going the extra step of masking outdoors. Depending on my timing and tolerance (i.e. with my unvaxxed kid) I’d consider a party just to have a bit more personal space (and ideally a seat).
When will reservations open up for these parties? There are no links for reservations or their availability on their websites.
@Zach, Hubby & I will be wearing masks all the time inside and out. Whether required or not. Small price to pay for extra safety.
Most likely not. I think it just means seating is not provided and guests cannot sit on the ground.
Are you kidding? 100 bucks a person is nothing to me to get away for a bit from the masses for some quiet time gazing at the castle with some mediocre alcohol in hand, especially if Covid cases are not significantly lower by then. Sign me up!
Maybe this is silly but I’m considering both this and the Harmonious parties for our upcoming October trip because it limits are exposure to the crushing crowds I’m expecting in waiting for the nightime shows, as it relates to COVID. I have a fairly good grasp on the science of transmission but aside from the mask mandate for indoor queues being removed, the thing I’m most “worried” about are the night time entertainment crowds where nobody is masked and we’re in close proximity for the most people for a prolonged period.
Wonder if anyone else is in the same boat.

The greed has overtaken these fireworks dessert parties. I’m so sad. 3 years ago we did the 1 and only dessert party at the magic kingdom. It was 1 group and the space between guests on the plaza garden was abundant. Kids could do cartwheels without bothering other parties etc. It felt like a real treat to have all that space, while just outside the fence people were sardined in to get their viewing spot. Sometime in 2019 or 2020 they added a second group (post-fireworks party). There’s only 1 fireworks show though, so it DOUBLED the number of people viewing from the garden plaza and suddenly didn’t feel like such a value when we were packed in there, at the cost of $400 for our family. Now there are still 2 groups for the garden viewing, with a price increase. SOOOOOO disappointing. This is no longer a value! Plus, with the main street projections you will miss that from the plaza garden AND the terrace. Vote with your wallets on this one.
For me it’s all about getting a great view without having to waste time holding a spot, also less congestion is appealing. My only hesitation with this new show is that it seems there are some very cool elements on Main Street, so maybe a vantage point further back might be better? Unsure and time will tell if this will be worth it for me or not.
Does anyone know when reservations open? I’m not seeing any place to reserve on the website.
@Victoria, Thanks!
@Adam I did the after party for my birthday a few years ago. You could check in any time in that 60 minute window, spaces in the garden area may fill up but you’d still be able to find a spot 5 minutes before probably, at least slightly more easily than the mixed in with the masses on main street
@Brenda I think it just means no chairs are provided. People will also likely stand once the fireworks start. the area is a mix of sidewalks and grass
Which offers a better view, the plaza garden standing area or the seated Tomorrowland terrace? Any obstructed views on the terrace? Thank you!
So the pre-party is check-in 90 minutes before fireworks…. ok….. So you give up 90 minutes of park touring to eat and drink, and still get prime fireworks viewing location…
But the after-party still requires checking in, 60 minutes before the fireworks? So you the last hour of park touring, so that you can be brought to prime viewing location… and get desserts after the fireworks. But– buying desserts after fireworks would be a lot less than $99. And, surely you can stake out your own prime location 60 minutes before the fireworks?
What am I missing? The after-party makes no logical sense to me. Seems you aren’t getting anything but overpriced desserts.
If the after-party let you show up in the plaza viewing location just 5 minutes before the show, that would have some value. But if you have to check in 60 minutes before the fire works, then it’s hard to see ANY value in the after-party.
This appeals to me because I despise staking out a good viewing spot for fireworks. I’ve been stepped on, hit with strollers, nearly gotten into fights, etc. I’ve never done one of these dessert parties before but the reserved vip viewing spot sounds great. Can anyone tell me, does the viewing spot include Main Street?
By “standing room only” do they mean mobility impaired not welcome?
