2017 Mickey’s Halloween and Christmas Party Tickets Now on Sale!

2017 tickets just went on sale today for the Halloween and Christmas Parties in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, and prices are up across the board, with increases of 2% to 9% depending upon the dates you want to attend.

This year, the parties closest to both Christmas and Halloween are most expensive, with Halloween night reaching a new record high price at $115 per adult and $110 per child. With Halloween night selling out every year and ticket resellers routinely selling them for ~$200/night, don’t expect this trend to change anytime soon.

2017 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party tickets range in price from a low of $74 to a high of $115 for adults, which is the largest swing in prices we’ve ever seen. Children’s tickets will set you back $69 to $100. Click here to view a calendar with full pricing details on DisneyWorld.com, which is also where you can purchase tickets now. The August and early September tickets are the cheapest of the bunch–turns out Disney realizes most people don’t want to celebrate Halloween in late summer?! For the sake of comparison, here are last year’s prices…

The Halloween Party tickets cost $72 to $105 last year for adults and $67 to $100 last year for children. The silver lining there is that price increases are relatively modest for the first half of dates, with the only double-digit spike being for Halloween itself.

If you’re going to attend Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and have flexibility on which date you can attend, read our Best and Worst MNSSHP Dates post to help choose the potentially least-crowded party.

If you’re still on the fence, debating whether the party will be worth the money, we can help you answer that question in our Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Tips & Review post. That post offers party strategy (including an approach to rare characters), and also analysis as to the value for money.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2017 tickets are also now available, with prices ranging from $89 to $109 for adults, with dates closer to Christmas (generally) be among the more expensive dates. Kids’ tickets cost $84 to $104. Click here to view a calendar with full pricing details on DisneyWorld.com, which is also where you can purchase tickets now.

For comparison, Christmas Party tickets for last year’s party ranged from $86 to $99 for adults and $81-94 for children. This represents a relatively minimal price increase on the low end, with the premium dates increasing by $10 per ticket.

Unsurprisingly, parties on December 19, 21, and 22 are the costliest; these are dates that would not have had parties at all a couple of years ago due to their proximity to the crowded Christmas period.

We likewise have a post detailing the Best and Worst MVMCP Dates, so check that out if you want to avoid crowds. (Spoiler alert: stay away from that last week. Not just for Christmas Party crowds, but crowds in general.)

As for whether the Christmas Party is worth the money, read our Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Tips & Review post for insight into that. In addition to a review, that post offers comprehensive tips on everything from the best free cookies during the party to strategy for the parade and fireworks.

Overall, we cannot say we’re too surprised by any of these party ticket prices. After the steep price increases last year and subsequent drop-off in attendance for a number of dates, we half-expected no price increases at all for some dates. Perhaps that is naive in the world of Disney, but ~$2-4 bumps per ticket are about the next best thing. On the other end of the spectrum, the party on Halloween and those the week before Christmas would probably sell out if they were priced at $175/person, so it’s doubtful we’ll see an end to price increases on those tickets anytime in the near future.
