Vacation Kingdom at Christmas FREE eBook!

It has taken a lot of hard work, and serious contract negotiations with ALF as he has demanded a higher salary, but the Vacation Kingdom at Christmas eBook is finally done. Well, 98.23% done. I have a couple finishing touches to put on it, and probably should proofread again…

I’ve spent countless hours writing, photo editing, and tweaking the layout, but I’m finally happy with it (of course, as soon as I send it out, I know I’m going to see 34 little mistakes that I didn’t catch). I’m currently figuring out a way to upload it to the server and then will draft up an email newsletter and send that out. If all goes according to plan (i.e. none of this crashes my servers), you should be able to download the eBook before 10 p.m. EST tonight (December 20, 2015).

As mentioned in the post announcing the eBook, this is totally free for newsletter subscribers (but it’s one of those “you get what you pay for” type of deals). This post is just a friendly reminder for those who have not yet done so: subscribe to the newsletter now if you want to be able to download the Christmas eBook. That’s the only way it will be available.

I’m pretty excited to have this thing done–not just because I’m looking forward to you all enjoying it. Also because it’s been a significant time drain, and I wanted to do a whole slew of Christmas posts that I haven’t even had a chance to start yet. Nevermind a potential Walt Disney World Christmas Trip Report, and now it appears that I’ll only have time for either a trip report or random, assorted posts. So, I’m curious which you want to see.

Here are some potential options:

  • Walt Disney World Christmas 2015 Trip Report
  • Disneyland Yuletide Resort-Hotel Tour
  • Home for the Holidays at Port Orleans Resort
  • Ode to the Osborne Lights: A Tribute
  • Eating Around the World at Epcot: Christmas Edition
  • Christmas Gifts for the Disney Photographer (given the lateness of the hour, this one is probably out no matter what)

Any thoughts? No guarantees one way or the other, but if there’s a clear consensus, I’ll try to make that happen. I have a lot of other stuff to do: portions of the eBook are cribbed from older posts, and I realized while writing the eBook that some of those older posts need to be updated, so that’s on the agenda, too.

I also have a busy week of watching A Muppet Family Christmas, Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas, and other holiday classics…and I should probably do some Christmas shopping, start training for the Dopey Challenge, and spend some time catching up with topics in the DTB Forums, too.

Finally, if you know anyone else, either IRL (that means “in real life” for those of you who don’t know cool people slang) or online via social media, we’d greatly appreciate if you’d let them know about the free eBook. We had to give ALF literally like 17 cats just for his advisory role in the project (and of course there’s my time, but that’s not worth very much) so I’d like for as many people as possible to be able to enjoy the eBook. You can use the buttons near the top of the page to share this post.
