Radiator Springs Racers Photos

Radiator Springs Racers is the flagship ride in Cars Land, a new land in Disney California Adventure at Disneyland. Here are beautiful Radiator Springs Racers photos from Cars Land. Cars Land is, unsurprisingly, based on the popular Pixar Cars film franchise. As you can see, Radiator Springs Racers is an incredible attraction (and given the rumored cost, this should be no surprise!) that combines the ride system from Epcot’s Test Track and takes it to the next level with gorgeous scenery, remarkably advanced dark ride sections, and mild thrills as you race another car! It is the best of the three attractions in Cars Land, with Luigi’s Flying Tires (photos) and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree (photos) offering fun “additional” experiences to Cars Land.

Radiator Springs Racers is unlike any other attraction you have experienced, I assure you! From the queue to the dark ride scenes to the race to the finish line, this is one Disney California Adventure that is head and shoulders above the rest! It alone might justify a trip out to Disneyland Resort to experience! Much like Cars Land in general, it is absolutely amazing and one of the best attractions Walt Disney Imagineering has made in years. I’ll have a full review later, but for now, I’ll let the photos do the talking!

Excellent job at capturing of all the intricate details all throughout this attraction Tom! Great work. The true scale of this ride, especially outdoors, does such an amazing job of transporting the guest into a whole different land and really making them feel like they have taken a road trip.

Is Mack in the Radiator Springs Racers ride?

  3. April says:

Amazing photos! These have made me so much more excited for our Disneyland trip this October, cannot wait!

  4. Amazing shots, Tom! I knew your exterior shots would be great–this entire area just begs to be captured in both bright sunlight and after dark. However, your indoor shots are amazing considering you’re in a moving vehicle with limited sight lines! Thanks for capturing the spirit of the ride so that we can re-live it and others can appreciate all the work that has gone into this one attraction. Of course, now I’m rabid to see the rest of the Carsland and Buena Vista Street photos! Thanks for posting.

Some of the dark ride scenes were tough to photograph, you’re right!

You’re excited to see the Car Land and Buena Vista Street photos, and I’m excited to edit them!!! I think I have some decent ones!

I was in awe BEFORE I saw the Lesseter pics. Wow.

    • Tom Bricker says:

John Lasseter’s genuine enthusiasm for Cars Land was pretty awesome. We saw him on multiple occasions June 13th and 14th, but that photo was taken June 15th. We were in the first car of the second set of vehicles that day. Lasseter (and Kathy Magnum) took a photo of us (probably due to my awesome Luigi’s hat), so I said, “now let me take yours,” and he posed like that. After the ride, I took a photo of Sarah and him. He was ALL OVER THE PLACE those few days–you could really tell that land was his baby!

Meaning I was in awe and then I was en even more aw-ey-er awe.

These are great shots….I always like multi-photo posts.

  8. Jayme says:

    Wow……quite simply……Wow…..

  9. David says:

Wow wow wow wow wow. And an extra wow for John Lasseter, although its no surprise that he is there. I’m surprised he doesn’t just live in California Adventure, seeing as all his creations seem to!

All I can say is that this is gonna make one EPIC trip report!

    • Tom Bricker says:

Yes, it is going to be one FUN trip report. I just need to get some of these other posts done first so I can get to it!!!

Great photographs (which is no surprise)! I’m especially grateful that you captured so many of the details and so much of the queue. What a great work of imagineering this is! It must surely be the best rock work and forced perspective ever produced. And look! There is even an audio-animatronic John Lasseter!

It’s odd, even though there are a lot of photos here, I was surprised at how few I had. We rode Radiator Springs Racers close to 30 times, and I didn’t take all that many photos. I think I was mostly just absorbing the amazing new experience. On the first night there, I was basically in a state of paralysis seeing how beautiful the whole land was. I barely took a single photo!

I guess my “lack” of photos is a good reason to plan a return trip! 😉

  11. Albert says:

These are incredible. The crispness, vibrance, and energy of each photo is amazing. In-ride shots were pretty insane. This definitely captures the essence of the amazing Cars Land. Tom, you should be official photographer for the Resort. I’d love to have book of these pics!

    • Tom Bricker says:

Hahaha, we’ll see. My last couple books have been Disneyland. I’d really like to do an Epcot book next, although Cars Land is just begging for one!

  12. Tim says:

Amazing pictures as always guys! I especially love the on ride pictures – nicely done! Tom, you look great in that Flying Tires hat!

  13. Erin says:

Thank you for all those pictures. Those are some of the best on the web. I especially like the ones taken at night. The land looks spectacular.
