Top 2023 Amazon Prime Big Deal Days Finds for Disney Fans & Travelers (DAY 2)
Prime Big Deal Days is Amazon’s new two-day deal event in October that promises holiday shopping season discounts over a month before Black Friday or Cyber Monday. This post rounds up the best deals during Amazon’s “Christmas Before Halloween” deal days for your Walt Disney World vacations, plus products that will make great gifts for yourself or others. (Updated October 11, 2023 at 4 pm.)
If you feel like you’re having déjà vu all over again, that’s because Amazon Prime Day happened a few months ago. This is Amazon Prime Big Deal Days, which was called “Early Access” last year. It’s pretty much the same thing this year–but with a different name–which is essentially a bridge between the last sale and the holiday shopping season, exclusively for Prime subscribers. (If you’re not already a member, click here for a FREE 30-day Amazon Prime trial membership that allows you to take advantage of these deals!)
Just like Prime Day is Amazon’s “Christmas (shopping) in July” sale, Prime Big Deal Days is Amazon’s “Holiday Headstart” sale event. Amazon’s unstated goal is to undercut its competitors, moving forward the shopping season in an effort to move excess inventory. Not to be outdone, Target, Walmart, and other major retailers have their own pre-holiday shopping events this week, too.
This post aggregates the best Amazon Prime Big Deal Day sales that are likely to be of interest to Disney fans and travelers. Some items are Disney-specific, others are travel gadgets that are not exclusively Disney-related. The former are fun items for collectors, parents, people doing gift shopping, and so on. The latter are practical items that would be useful for Walt Disney World or Disneyland vacations.
If you want a broader selection of the current deals, check out Amazon’s Spotlight Prime Big Deal Days Sale page for the biggest savings and most popular deals. Even then, the options can be overwhelming, as there are literally tens of thousands of items on sale for the Big Deal Days Sale.
As with any of these promotional event sales, some “special offers” are great and some are…not so special. We’ve combed through the various deals and are sharing only those we deem good. We receive a small commission from Amazon for your purchases, so buying through these links helps support the site. However, neither the price you pay nor our recommendations (or lack thereof) are impacted by that.
We’ve purchased these items ourselves, have friends who recommend them, or are debating the purchase. It should be clear from each item’s description how we feel about a particular product. On with the list of the Best Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sales for 2023, starting with new finds for Day 2…
New Day 2 Deals
Baby Jogger City Tour 2 Ultra-Compact Travel Stroller – About half of the family travel blogs we’ve been reading recommend this stroller for theme parks and beyond. We haven’t used (or purchased) it yet, but are incredibly tempted to do so with it being 40% off. If any readers can offer quick reviews (good or bad!) of this for Walt Disney World or Disneyland, we’d love to hear them!
Graco Slimfit 3 in 1 Car Seat – Similar story here, but with a car seat. Obviously not a direct nexus to Walt Disney World, but something that we (and presumably others?) will be using to get there and around the resort complex.
Milk Snob 5-in-1 Cover – We just “discovered” Milk Snob and have quickly become fans. This is for the Winnie the Pooh design, our favorite, but there are a ton of other options on sale in the dedicated Milk Snob Disney Store.
Disney Princess Moana Dress Up Trunk – Similar to the other trunk below, but specifically for Moana. With Journey of Water now open and more Moana likely coming to the parks over time, a fitting and fun option for Walt Disney World.
Mirabel Dress – Same idea, but with Mirabel. There’s actually a decent amount of Encanto stuff on sale for Big Deal Days.
Star Wars Complete Vehicles Book – Kids love vehicles. Kids love Star Wars. This is 41% off. Perfect combo.
Alice’s Wonderland Bakery Chat & Glow Cheshire Cat Stuffed Animal – This is from the weird Disney Junior show with (IMO) creepy character CGI, but you can’t tell that from this Cheshire Cat plush. Well worth it for 68% off!
Ceaco – 5-in-1 LE Disney D23 Expo Puzzle Pack – Amazon had a bunch of D23 Expo exclusives last year, and they were awesome designs–better than most of the stuff that was actually sold at Expo. Well, now you can get deep discounts on these items one year after the event. Patience pays off! You can also find more of these items here.
Ravensburger Disney Treasures from The Vault: Pluto Puzzle – Another pick for old school Disney fans. I prefer the D23 Expo ones, but these are more overtly Disney (posters from Walt-era Pluto shorts).
Knockoff Loungefly Bag – Calling a spade a spade, this is basically a bootleg Loungefly bag. Now, I am definitely NOT the target audience for such a product, but as someone who doesn’t “get” how on earth Loungeflys are so expensive, I think this is a far, far superior option!
LEGO Disney Princess Rapunzel – One of a few new LEGO sets that are on sale for the second day. Only 20% off, but LEGO deals can be tough to find.
Anker 24,000mAh Power Bank 3-Port Portable Charger with 140W Output – For those who really go hard playing the Genie+ refresh game. I’ve been wanting one of these for travel for a while, and this price (32% off) and feature combo might be what finally gets me off the fence. (With that said, I’m a blogger/photographer, so my “needs” are very atypical!)
TravelPro Luggage – There are a few suitcases from TravelPro discounted by 28% to 32% off for Amazon Prime Day. Objectively speaking, there are better luggage deals. However, this is far and away our favorite brand–and the one preferred by pilots and flight attendants. We haven’t found anything better at any price point (definitely not lower, but not higher either), and if you travel a decent amount, you’ll be able to tell the difference.
What follows are the original first day sales for Amazon Big Deal Days. I don’t have time to update and remove the ones that are expired, but it’s safe to assume that some of these are no longer discounted. Be sure to doublecheck, rather than assuming everything is still a good deal as of October 11, 2023. Most will be, but some will not!
Disney Travel Accessories
Crocs Men’s LiteRide 360 Pacer Sneaker – Select colors of these Crocs that topped our list of the Best Shoes for Walt Disney World are on sale for almost half off. At that price, the Crocs LiteRide Sneakers are worth trying for yourself to see what all the hype is about.
Crocs Women’s LiteRide 360 Sandals – Same deal here, and there’s also a clippable coupon. Note that this is not the version Sarah wears–hers are the beach stretch variety, with fabric straps.
Save Up to 50% on Crocs – Other styles of Crocs are up to 50% off–you can browse the options here. You’re not going to save much more, and all of the other styles are much uglier than the LiteRide, though!
Hydro Flask Water Bottles – This leak-proof design is a cool idea that’s new-to-us, but incredibly popular. It’s a great way to keep drinks cold all day long, too.
Collapsible Water Bottles – If you’re more concerned with saving space and convenience, these are a great alternative to water bottles with filters. Maybe you like the taste of swamp water!
Repel Travel Umbrella – This is umbrella is so good that we’ve bought 3 of them this year. Technically, that’s because I’ve lost two of them, but that’s a minor detail.
Sukeen Cooling Towel 4-Pack – The cooling system on these towels uses moisture from the towel to draw the sweat away from your skin to keep you cool. We still prefer the Frogg Toggs Chilly Pad, but some Walt Disney World fans prefer these. At nearly half-off, they’re definitely worth giving a try!
Anker Slimline Phone Charger 10,000mAh External Battery Pack — Even before Genie+, we recommended bringing a backup battery pack to charge your phone while using My Disney Experience or social media at Walt Disney World. This one has great capacity and the fastest quick-charging capabilities. This is the battery pack we bring to the parks now—perfect for the two of us. (The updated USB-C version is also on sale.)
Anker 335 PowerCore 20K Portable Charger – Double the capacity of the above charger and with USB-C fast-charging as the default. The downside is that it’s larger, but the value for money is great. (The updated, higher-speed version is also on sale.)
Anker PowerPort Cube Strip with 3 Outlets and 3 USB Ports – Disney has refurbished many of its rooms, adding USB ports in the process, so this isn’t really necessary for those. It is for many off-site and older hotel rooms, though. Plus, this has fast-charging to get devices recharged quicker.
Gonex Compression Packing Cubes – They key here is that these are compression packing cubes, which normally cost more and will save you even more space when packing. If you need the suitcase space, we recommend this set over the one below. Be sure to clip the coupon for another 10% off.
Packing Cube Sets (Multiple Sizes) – Another staple of our packing list, we are fans of packing cubes and these are a solid deal. (With that said, there are a LOT of packing cubes on sale, so you might want to browse the results for “packing cubes” on the Amazon Big Deal Days Sale page and see which sizes/colors/etc. best suit you.)
Gonex Packable Backpack — Another excellent innovation from the fine folks at Gonex…a brand I’ve literally never heard of outside the ‘packable’ space. This takes up minimal room in your suitcase and more importantly is super lightweight. That minimizes the amount of back-sweat you’ll have to endure from the Florida heat and humidity. The blue one is cheapest, and it looks nicest (IMO).
Apple AirTags – We use these to “track” a lot of things, and already have one ready to roll in our stroller. Several readers have recommended them for this purpose, complaining that Cast Members relocate parked strollers, making them difficult to find. AirTags should offer a great solution to this problem!
LÍLLÉbaby Baby Carrier – Speaking of baby accessories, one of the most popular types of baby carrier brands is on sale for Big Deal Days. This is one of the types that readers highly recommended (and we purchased), and although I can’t yet vouch for it, I’m excited to wear this baby around the parks!
BCOZZY Chin Supporting Travel Pillow – This is new-to-us travel pillow is incredibly popular, rating better than our favorite pillow (that had its design cheapened and no longer scores well).
Elemis Spa Stuff – Something for the “Sarah Section.” I guess this is used in the spas aboard Disney Cruise Line, and is beloved among Sarah and her gal pals. Who among us doesn’t need a “marine cream” that’s $103 (?!?!) after discount. (Okay, there are much cheaper products, but that’s the one that caught my eye!)
Personal Neck Fan – We bought this little device during Prime Day two years ago, and it’s shockingly effective. It’s like that refreshing feeling you get when walking past an open doorway of an air-conditioned building. It’s not perfect, but it’s a really fantastic idea, and is a breath of fresh air during hot and humid days in Florida (which is ~10 months of the year). Now, when I’m overheating while wearing the baby carrier, I’ll have this to offset that! 😂
Handheld Portable Small Fan (USB Chargeable) – If you don’t want to be quite as dorky with the neck fan and don’t want to wear a cooling towel, this classic handheld fan is the more traditional option for keeping cool. It ends up being under $10 after discount and clipping the coupon on the product page.
Disney, Star Wars & Marvel Hoodies – These low key hooded sweatshirts feature retro inspired designs and are mostly simple and sharp-looking. I especially like the yellow Mickey Mouse and blue Boba Fett styles.
Disney Books
A Portrait of Walt Disney World: 50 Years of The Most Magical Place on Earth – Our favorite Walt Disney World coffee table book ever. In style, structure, and quality, this is unrivaled. Truly the best thing to come out of the 50th Anniversary celebration, this covers everything from development to the evolution of Walt Disney World, with tons of rare photos and concept art. You can read our full review if you want, but the bottom line is that this is the best book about Walt Disney World.
Delicious Disney: Walt Disney World – This is a cookbook, with recipes for iconic dishes like the Grey Stuff, Tonga Toast, Kungaloosh, Ronto Wrap, Hollywood Brown Derby Grapefruit Cake, and Le Cellier Steakhouse Cheese Soup. However, it’s also so much more. You’ll also find rare restaurant concept art, history (my favorite is “Walt Loved Fried Chicken”), and old menu scans.
Walt Disney Imagineering: A Behind the Dreams Look at Making More Magic Real — This huge book by WDI is a classic that belongs in the library of every fan. This beautiful title is actually a sequel to another excellent book that’s now out of print (that we’d also highly recommend).
Thomas Kinkade Disney Coloring Books – Given that color and light are the whole point of Kinkade paintings, this strikes us as an odd one. Still, a great deal at 48% off.
The Story of Disney: 100 Years of Wonder – This coffee table book showcases the company’s history and rich legacy―past, present, and future―with text plus concept art and photographs. It starts with Walt Disney’s childhood through to the early years of his companies, continuing to present day. Given its breadth, this book is the view from 30,000 feet–don’t expect the nitty gritty about anything, but fun as a comprehensive overview. And you can’t beat the price, especially since Disney100 is still ongoing!
100 Disney Adventures of a Lifetime: Magical Experiences From Around the World – We’ve had a few of these National Geographic “100” books, and they are excellent at generating two things: hype and conversation. Page through one of these and you’ll immediately feel an insatiable sense of wanderlust. Put one of these on your coffee table before a gathering, and travel will become the topic of conversation.
Disney A to Z: The Official Encyclopedia — This is a re-release of the definitive Disney encyclopedia for Disney100, but it’s been updated with almost a decade’s worth of changes and additions. (It was a busy decade for Disney!)
Disney Wish Little Golden Book – Probably not as cheap as it’ll get on Cyber Monday, but my hype level is off the charts for Wish, so I’ll pay the extra dollar or so for this brand new release.
Disney100 Little Golden Book Box Set – This collector’s edition boxed set contains 12 iconic Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm Little Golden Books, brought together for the first time to celebrate Disney’s 100th anniversary! This is new, and already significantly discounted from the full price.
There are other Disney Little Golden Books, which each appear to be $1 or $2 off today. (Savings might be better during Cyber Monday, as there’s typically a ‘book bundle’ discount for spending $25). In any case, here are the other titles:
- “it’s a small world” Little Golden Book
- Space Mountain Little Golden Book
- Encanto Little Golden Book
- Pirates of the Caribbean Little Golden Book
Disney Parks Little Golden Book Library – A bunch of those titles, in another collection. Half off as compared to the list price.
Bedtime Favorites Storybook Collection – With 18 stories and 250 illustrations, this is a great option for bedtime reading to little ones.
Disney Who’s Who (Autograph Book Substitute) – Finally going to find out if this works as well for an autograph book as so many of our friends claim!
Disney Princess Cookbook – From Rapunzel’s Frying Pan Eggs to Ariel’s Sea Turtle Cupcakes, this beautiful cookbook is filled with delicious recipes inspired by the Princesses’ many adventures.
Disney Storybook Collection — A large, 300+ page hardcover book retelling several classic Disney stories complete with 250 pieces of artwork from the Disney Archives.
Walt Disney’s Disneyland — One of my favorite Disney books of all-time at a crazy-good price. Anyone who has owned or even held a TASCHEN book knows why this is something special. This is an incredibly high-quality coffee table book, and well worth more than the $33 price tag.
Holiday Magic at the Disney Parks: Celebrations Around the World — This is an incredible deep dive into the holidays (mostly Christmas and Halloween, but also Easter and other seasonal events) with great photos, detailed information, and rich history. If you love the seasonal events, this is an absolute must-own.
Poster Art of the Disney Parks, Second Edition – This new title is an expanded and updated edition of the beloved book that ranks highly in our library. The second edition renders the first obsolete, as the 85+ new posters and behind-the-scenes development info nearly doubles the book in length. It’s worth it for all of the awesome new posters made for EPCOT’s reimagining alone. (Currently a Lightning Deal for $25.76!)
The Walt Disney Film Archives. The Animated Movies 1921—1968 – Another great TASCHEN title, for an unbeatable price.
The Art of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – This offers an inside look at the magic behind the Disneyland and Walt Disney World lands, documenting the art and innovations that led to the creation of Galaxy’s Edge. Featuring hundreds of full-color concept artworks, sketches, blueprints, photographs, and more, the book reveals Walt Disney Imagineering’s creative process.
The Imagineering Story: The Official Biography of Walt Disney Imagineering – This is the companion book to the highly acclaimed Disney+ documentary series, The Imagineering Story. This title greatly expands on award-winning filmmaker Leslie Iwerks’ narrative of the fascinating history of Walt Disney Imagineering.
Maps of the Disney Parks — This is a staple of our gift-giving guides, and that’s in part because it looks really nice, making it an eye-catching gift. We covered this in our Top 10 Disney Park Books list, but it bears mentioning again.
The Ride of a Lifetime: Lessons Learned from 15 Years as CEO of the Walt Disney Company — This is past/present/(future?) Disney CEO Bob Iger’s memoir, and it’s shockingly candid and compelling. Iger is clearly a smart and interesting guy, but all of his interviews are played fairly close to the vest and feel meticulously scripted.
Disney Games
Funko Disney It’s a Small World Game – It’s the happiest cruise that ever sailed! And you’ll be truly happy when cruising through checkout saving a whopping 66% off this game!
The Little Mermaid Monopoly – Take 32% off this version of Monopoly, which celebrates Ariel’s under the sea world.
Disney-Pixar Monopoly — Another good-ish Monopoly deal.
Haunted Mansion: Call of The Spirits Board Game – I’m a total sucker for cheesy and cheeky board games, as well as Walt Disney World board games. This is the perfect intersection of those interests. It’s a fairly strategic game that’s easy enough for kids but also deep enough for adults. At 54% off (or only $11!), this one is a MUST BUY!
Funko Pop! Chip ‘n’ Dale Christmas Treasures Game – As a huge fan of Pluto’s Christmas Tree, this was an “instant order” for me. The fast-paced, easy-to-learn card game features beautiful illustrations inspired by the classic 1950’s Disney Christmas cartoons. Perfect for Christmas Eve with the family around the fireplace.
Funkoverse: Marvel 100 4-Pack Strategy Board Game – Four Avengers Funko Pop! movers made exclusively for this game. Each character is unique and has their own abilities, with game modes that include Scrimmage and Siege that allow you to explore the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier and Shuri’s Wakanda Laboratory.
Funko Disney Happiest Day Magic Kingdom Game – Visit exciting attractions, meet cherished characters, and experience magical moments throughout Magic Kingdom–a great way to relive the magic, complete with a 3D Cinderella Castle and day-to-night versions of the park.
Disney’s A Goofy Movie Game – Make the most memories with Goofy and score the best seats at the Powerline concert. You’ll travel across the road map game board with card art and 90’s design that depicts locations and moments from the movie. Great deal at 63% off.
Something Wild! Mickey & Friends Character Card Game — Another fast-paced and easy-to-learn family card game featuring beloved Disney characters and Pop! pocket figures.
Gargoyles: Awakening Game – This cooperative strategy game is based on the 1990’s Disney cartoon Gargoyles, with players battling Xanatos and Demona on a 3D cityscape board featuring Manhattan as it was depicted in the cartoon. I vaguely remember watching this as a kid, but I don’t have the same nostalgia for it as other Disney Afternoon shows.
Magical World of Disney Trivia (2,000 Questions) – This game is perfect for superfans to casual viewers questions covering a wide range of Disney and Pixar stories, and with easier questions for kids.
Disney Eye Found It Card Game — A card game version of the standard board game that we normally recommend—and an even better deal (40% off).
Funko Disney Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Game – Another ride-specific game from Funko, this one released for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary. It features a sculpted mountain peak and mine tray that capture the iconic old west setting of the attraction. Simple, fast-paced introduction to deck-building—one of the most popular styles of card games. Features dynamite and dinosaur discoveries…what’s not to love?! At 57% off, it’s a fantastic deal.
Villainous Disney Strategy Board Game – This Halloween-adjacent game is hugely popular and the winner of several prestigious ‘Game of the Year’ awards. We aren’t as big of villains fans as others, but it’s undeniably good (to be bad?).
Sorry! Board Game: Disney Villains Edition – This family game combines classic Sorry gameplay with a wickedly fun Disney Villains inspired board, Spell cards, and 16 Villain pawns.
Disney Toys
Disney Princess Dress Up Trunk Deluxe 21 Piece – Obviously, I don’t know anything about this–just that it’s a good deal and is popular among Disney fans as an inexpensive alternative to doing Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
Disney Encanto Madrigal Sisters Dress Up Trunk – Same idea, but just the dresses for Mirabel & Isabela.
Spud Lightyear Mr. Potato Head – This Mr. Potato Head as Buzz Lightyear toy is inspired by the beloved character from Toy Story 4. Includes 10 accessories. Makes this list almost exclusively because “Spud Lightyear” cracks me up. (It’s the little things.)
Talking Baby Yoda Character – This talking Baby Yoda figure makes 10 different vocalizations and is described by Hasbro as “cuddly.” It’s styled after the Grogu character from the Disney+ series, with an authentic appearance.
The Child Animatronic Edition – Features motorized movements, including a head that moves up and down, ears that move back and forth, eyes that open and close, and more. (Maybe they’ll add this toy to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!)
Baby Yoda Stuffed Character – Similar idea here. Not exactly a plush, this 11-inch Grogu toy has a soft body, plus a sturdy base filled with beans, perfect for cuddling or display as a collectible. Winner of a Toy of the Year Award.
LEGO Disney and Pixar ‘Up’ House for Disney 100 – This 598-piece LEGO Disney toy set includes a partial house built with balloons, different rooms and functions, plus Carl Fredricksen and Russell LEGO minifigures, and a Dug LEGO dog figure for dog lovers. According to LEGO, the set is “made for unlimited adventures on land or floating through the clouds.”
LEGO Star Wars Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing Fighter Toy Set – Features a LEGO brick-built version of Luke Skywalker’s iconic toy X-wing Fighter to recreate the legendary action-packed scenes from the Star Wars original trilogy movies.
LEGO Star Wars AT-AT Walker – Celebrate the iconic series with this Star Wars 40th Anniversary set, a LEGO brick version of the iconic AT-AT Walker Star Wars building toy; includes 6 LEGO Star Wars minifigures – Luke Skywalker, General Veers, 2 AT-AT Drivers and 2 Snowtroopers, all with weapons.
LEGO sets for up to 44% off – There are a lot of other really cool LEGO sets for 30% off (I don’t see anything noteworthy for a higher percentage savings than that), including the Madrigal House from Encanto LEGO playset as well as Harry Potter’s Ministry of Magic, and more!
Okay, that’s it for right now. There are a bunch of other great deals that are irrelevant to Disney and travel (but also don’t appeal to me) on the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days Sale homepage. We recommend browsing for yourself a bit, and checking back often, as new deals are regularly appearing–and disappearing. Just be mindful of the fact that some of these offers are time-sensitive, so you don’t want to spend too much time procrastinating and end up losing out!

Your Thoughts
Any tips on the best Disney or travel-related products discounted during the 2023 Amazon Big Deal Days Sale that we’ve missed? What have you scored thus far during the sale? Will you be doing your holiday shopping today, or holding off for potentially better deals on Black Friday and Cyber Monday? Have any product recommendations (or dislike any of the items listed here)? Any questions? We love hearing from readers, so please share any other thoughts or questions you have in the comments below!
Stroller review – We rented something similar for a Disney trip. It worked well, but things that could be a con are how much under-basket space you might need and if your child can sit upright on their own. We used a diaper backpack (it was so long ago I can’t remember the brand) which was wonderful but did not fit under some strollers.
Tom, forgive me if I’ve already made this comment or if it’s too late, but there is a company in Orlando that will deliver some very nice/high end strollers to your resort for a very reasonable price. I know you’ve agonized over your stroller decision and I kept meaning to make this comment sooner, but it might be a good way to get acquainted with a stroller your interested in before making the big investment. I’ve used one company several times and have had excellent experiences with the strollers (Citi Mini, mini GT, Bob, Revolution, are among those available for rent). Not sure if I can list the name here but you might be familiar with it already. We rent a double stroller every time we go.
We have the original City Tour and would give it a big thumbs up! We actually have our first Disneyland trip planned for Nov and I’m still considering bringing it…although our youngest is now almost 7 and probably too big! But I can confirm it was great for a 5-yr-old at WDW last time we went. I’ve owned way too many strollers in the last 10 years and our BOB (and double BOB) have gotten the most mileage. I would argue that once you have a bigger kid (and/or a bunch of gear) it’s even worth upgrading to the BOB for the parks, especially if you aren’t taking busses where folding compactly is an issue. So excited for you guys and your upcoming adventures as parents 🙂
Re: Baby Jogger review from a fellow Disney parent and frequent traveler. We recently bought this stroller because it is travel friendly and relatively affordable. We haven’t flown with it yet but it is SO LIGHT and SO COMPACT compared to our Mockingbird stroller, and fits SO WELL into the trunk of our vehicle even when we have a bunch of other stuff in there.
It is not as comfortable as the Mockingbird stroller. This is fine for our 13 month old – she can still nap in there because it lies down almost totally flat, and she is secure in the 5-point harness. She does not fuss in there; seems quite content. It would not be good for an infant who cannot sit yet, but that is true for many compact strollers.
The storage basket underneath is tight – I can fit our backpack diaper bag underneath without too much effort, but there is no room for anything else.
We have not had it long and have only used it locally so far, but while it is not as “smooth” as our more “luxe” stroller, it is easy to steer with one hand and we have not had any problems with its movement. As a not-strong and average-sized woman, I have been able to hold my daughter in one arm, and use the other to one-hand fold the stroller and load it in the trunk of the vehicle (I did have to practice this a couple of times at home first).
The price point is also good – not as expensive as some, and while it is not exactly cheap I also do not feel so bad if it gets some wear and tear from travel.
We are happy with it so far. We use our bigger stroller for walks at home etc., but think this will be much better for travel. We are taking it to Disney for the first time at the end of the month!
Also, I second MilkSnob covers! They’re great.
Just chiming in to say that the ‘Disney Who’s Who’ works splendidly as an autograph book substitute. My kids love it, and the characters really love it. It’s sparked some great interactions and conversations. The only downside is that som characters aren’t in it, because the movies aren’t out yet, or they are park specific like Redd, or they are from a live action movie. (Redd was happy to sign near Caotain hood for us)
My daughter even takes it when we see a Disney musical, in case we meet any of those performers.
When my daughter was young, we’d have the characters autograph their Little Golden Book. That way, every time you read it, you could see the autograph and relive the memory. I hated the idea of an autograph book that just gathers dust and never gets opened between trips. The disadvantage is carrying so many different books as opposed to 1, but is doable with a stroller.
It makes me so happy to see the baby / kid stuff that’s new on here. I have a 4 year old Disney princess and I love sharing my love for Disney with her. I’m so excited for you guys to get to do the same!
(I bought the Princess golden books for Xmas! thanks for the tip!)
Tom – your link for the up to 44% off Lego sets also includes other toys, namely Tegu blocks. I just thought I’d recommend trying those out, particularly since it won’t be too long now until you have a little one big enough to play with them (within a year or two, maybe). Those were some of the earliest blocks we got for the kids, and they are very good quality. Expensive, but nice, and they have a good story/mission.
Thank you Tom for the Amazon Prime Deal info. I am a Prime member and have been getting notices from both Amazon and Travel and Leisure. To the readers, please take a moment to read the critical reviews on Amazon. I was looking forward to purchasing the packing cubes and the Hydro flask for my upcoming WDW trip for MVMCP. Yay! However, after reading the reviews, I have decided not to purchase the aforementioned items and must conduct additional research. Notwithstanding, as always, thank you very much Tom.
The Gomex packing cubes have 4.6 stars on >9400 reviews. That seems pretty solid to me. I have them and like them – we went on vacation for 10 days with just a carry-on and these cubes helped.
Maybe because I was in college during most of its run, but how do I have zero knowledge or memory of a Gargoyles TV show?
Thanks as always for putting this together. FWIW, I’ve had the BCozzy neck pillow for a couple years and I am not a fan. I have yet to find the perfect neck pillow, but for now the trtl is still top of the list. The repel umbrella is a great deal at this price. I have a couple umbrellas that as a bit smaller to fit in a camera bag/backpack, but this is the nicest of my small umbrellas by far and worth the extra space.
