Food Booth Menus for 2025 EPCOT Festival of Arts & NEW Figment Lightbulb Popcorn Bucket

Walt Disney World has announced food booth menus for the 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, our favorite event of the year! This post previews new & returning savory snacks and decadent desserts, along with a look at the awesome Figment fun that’ll be returning or debuting during Artful EPCOT.

For starters, the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts runs from January 17 through February 24, 2025, making it about on par with Festival of the Holidays and significantly shorter than the Flower & Garden or Food & Wine Festivals. The Food Studios are all located throughout the World Showcase pavilions and portions of the new neighborhoods of Future World, just like the Holiday Kitchens and Global Marketplaces before them.

Also akin to its Christmas-time counterpart, the 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts offers a smaller slate of food booths than the the park’s (supposedly) “flagship” fall foodie event. It may not seem like it, but that’s actually a good thing for guests as the menus are more carefully curated, for lack of a better term. In fact, everything about the 2025 EPCOT Festival of Arts is good for guests–that’s why it is, once again, the best event of the year at EPCOT.

As we’ve pointed out time and time again, food is the least important element of the festival. It’s not just the culinary arts here, it’s all of the arts on full display. We want to underscore this for newcomers: buying food is not essential to enjoying the 2025 EPCOT Festival of the Arts.

There’s so much substance to this event beyond food…and it’s totally FREE! You can watch artists create art right in front of you, peruse booths and galleries, attend free seminars, participate in the creation of art, and so much more. Festival of the Arts is great, but the food isn’t the main course, it’s the icing on the cake. If you’re interested in knowing what not to miss in terms of non-food offerings, read our Guide to the 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts.

Ironically, cuisine not being the cornerstone to Festival of the Arts relieves pressure on the Food Studios and, counterintuitive as this may sound, results in even better food. Because fewer people are there for food, lines are shorter and there’s less demand, so the booth menus can be more ambitious and artful with their presentation, rather than having to churn through tons of guests per hour.

Although if our experience last year was any indication, this has changed for some of the booths on busier weekends–which is why certain fan-favorite items (like the grilled cheese or Mondrian-styled Almond Frangipane Cake) are the only dishes served at their respective booths. We’d highly recommend venturing beyond these popular dishes; although they’re deserving of their followings, they’re far from the most interesting or ambitious items at the EPCOT Festival of the Arts.

On that note, let’s take a look at the food & drink menus for the Food Studios that showcase the best in culinary art, blending colorful ingredients, unique cooking techniques, and imaginative presentations to create edible masterpieces…

My assessment of these menus is pretty positive. Last year’s EPCOT Festival of the Arts already had really good menus, with my biggest complaint being that too many booths only had 1-2 food items, and all of the first-party ones had at least one fewer item than the previous year. (Third parties are a different story, but Italy offering more is a liability, not an asset.)

Even though they don’t show as “new” since they’re restored items, this year’s menu lineup largely remedies that. I’d also add that it’s bringing back some fan-favorite items, like my beloved Almond Frangipane Cake. That alone is a huge win for me, and it’s on top of what was already a strong lineup last year. (I do wish Deco Delights had more desserts from which to choose–a few years ago, it had some beautifully-plated and delicious desserts.)

I could quibble with some of the menus. For instance, Deconstructed Dish has clung to the same meager menu for way too long, and Figment’s Inspiration Station is more like Figment’s Sugar Central. Nothing imaginative about what’s on offer there. At the same time, I know variety is the spice of life, and there’s a lot to love about these booths if you’re a more adventurous eater.

To that point, both of the new booths in the front of the park sound fantastic. Walt Disney World is shockingly good with seafood at festivals, so we’ll see if that trend continues. And all around World Showcase, there are inventive and interesting options. I can’t wait!

Finally, guess who’s back? FIGMENT’S BACK. The 2025 EPCOT Festival of the Arts is getting imaginative again, with Figment’s Inspiration Station at the Odyssey returning for a third year.

Not only that, but you can bring home a new iteration of the Figment Premium Popcorn Bucket with Rainbow Popcorn. You can pick up one of these new novelties and even get some Figment-inspired bites and sips over at Figment’s Inspiration Station at the Odyssey.

As you might recall, Festival of the Arts was dominated by headlines a few years ago that EPCOT’s Longest Line Is For Figment Popcorn Buckets. It took a while, but Walt Disney World eventually solved that problem by streamlining the process with Mobile Order.

I’m not the biggest fan of popcorn buckets. But I’m a diehard Figment fan and always love seeing the character get love, so I was really happy with the success of the first bucket. I just wish stellar sales of these popcorn buckets or the recent Figment Christmas sweater actually led to something substantive, as it’s beyond time to Reimagine Journey Into Imagination.

Obviously it’s still early and I haven’t seen this in person, but this version is probably my least favorite of the Figment Premium Popcorn Bucket iterations to date. Last year’s will certainly be undefeated (those prismatic pyramids will be tough to top), but what remains to be seen is whether this actually looks like a lightbulb in person, or like a bottle you’d put a message into and toss into the ocean (please keep our oceans clean).

It’s still a clever design, and I like the idea they were going for. As we seem destined to get a new Figment popcorn bucket each year, I hope they start rotating through the costumes in the grand finale. I’d absolutely love a spacesuit Figment atop the moon! But what I’d love even more is that scene re-created in a reimagined Journey into Imagination 4.0 with the latest and greatest Audio Animatronics. It seems like hoping to have that in popcorn bucket form is settling for way too little, given what Figment deserves.

  1. I’m really excited for this! Will be at Epcot for the final 4 days of the festival – all weekend days, and then the finale which will likely be busy despite being a Monday – and I’m going to maximize my time at Epcot. We’re staying at the Dolphin those days and while we will definitely visit the other parks, I plan on hopping to/from Epcot every single one of those days. Probably do mornings at Epcot Fri, Sat, Sun & then afternoon/evening on Monday. Gonna eat my way (and drink a little) around the festival, while enjoying everything it has to offer and hopefully enjoy cooler weather to boot! What’s not to love? Thanks for the update on the menus. Getting me excited for my first trip back to WDW in a few years (and likely my last for a while as I’m planning different, international trips for the next few years). I really appreciate your blog and the effort that you guys put into it!

  2. Hi Tom! Thanks for your helpful content! It’s informative and fun to read! Are all of the booths available for mobile order or just the Figment popcorn buckets? Thanks!

  3. I hate this term, but I don’t know any other way to say it: It feels like Figment is being “pimped out.” Meaning, exploited for whatever short-term money grabs Disney can generate knowing Epcot’s Figment-loving hardcore audience will eat it up (figuratively, but sometimes literally). But the character is not actually being loved, nurtured, or stewarded in any real way. It makes me angry/sad and I’m not even a Figment die-hard.

    1. You’re certainly not wrong, and I feel more jaded about Figment merchandise with each passing year of radio silence about the ride.

If it’s at all reassuring to you (because it is, somewhat, to me), the team that makes merchandising decisions is totally different than those who greenlight new attractions. For the most part, the merchandise team and Disney Design Group is full of fans, many of whom were (or even still are) part of the community. That’s why we’ve gotten so many retro designs and deep cuts–they’re making merchandise for themselves, in large part.

It’s not like Bob Iger or Josh D’Amaro have “Figment Merchandise” dials in their offices that they keep cranking up. If anything, the success of these sales should eventually convince the powers that be to do something more with Figment and JII. At least, in theory.

    2. Great context! Though i’m only *somewhat* reassured by that. I’m sure the powers that be (whether Bob/Josh or their underlings) have a good idea that the Figment character has “juice” among fans — especially given all of the media hubbub about the popcorn bucket lines, etc. But if I’m an exec looking at ROI numbers I might think “we’ve already found the sweet spot for Figment right now” — raking in profits, PR, and fan goodwill without any real investment required.

I want to believe that continued success at the merch/PR level will convince the brass to “do right” by Figment and JII, even if it’s purely a business calculation (which it would have to be, since many within the Merch/Disney Design teams and WDI have surely been raising their voices in support for years). Searching my mind for an analogy, maybe Figment will be the Boba Fett of the Epcot universe — a fan favorite with nostalgic appeal and mega-merchandise sales despite not having a huge presence in the original Star Wars trilogy. But the lore and appeal of Boba Fett ultimately became, arguably, the centerpiece of the Star Wars franchise today (given that the Mandalorian is based on the Boba Fett ethos). Of course, the elevation of Boba Fett began as “fan service” in the prequel trilogy, but the modern prominence of the character/story was all stewarded under Disney/Iger’s watch.

Let us hope for the same result with Figment. This is the way.
