Free Things at 2025 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

Walt Disney World has announced a variety of freebies that will be available during the 2025 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, from cookies to keepsake. Here’s where to find these different free foods and souvenirs, which can help offset the cost of those $200+ event tickets.

For those who are unfamiliar with it, the 2025 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party takes place on select nights between Friday, November 7 and Sunday, December 21, 2025. The event features festive atmosphere, special entertainment, character meet & greets, and seasonal treats. Guests with special event tickets to MVMCP can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 pm, with the Christmas party running from 7 pm until midnight.

MVMCP highlights include Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration Stage Show, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, snow on Main Street, and much more. Tickets to the 2025 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party range in price from $169 to $229, depending on the date; discounts are available for select guests. See our Guide to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party for everything else you need to know.

Obviously, $169 to $229 is a lot of money. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party ticket prices have skyrocketed since the event’s return, with some dates more than doubling in price in less than a decade. Given that, it’s probably appropriate to categorize every component of the event as “included with admission” as opposed to “free.”

That would be fair. Otherwise, we could arbitrarily assign that $170+ ticket cost to riding Tomorrowland Speedway: Race Through the Holidays, and claim everything else is free. It’d be pretty slick marketing. FREE parade! FREE stage show! FREE hugs from characters! And so forth.

It’s also probably fair to say that the core components of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are expected to be included with event admission, whereas there are some little extras that are not. Things that are almost assuredly still baked into the price of tickets, but that would ‘surprise and delight’ an average, reasonable guest. The type of normal person who, when recapping the event to their friends back home would casually call X or Y a freebie in conversation. Event sweeteners (literally and figuratively), if you will.

Being pedantic is your prerogative, but everyone should know precisely what we mean by free. It does come with an asterisk that the tickets cost a lot of money in the first place, but everyone implicitly understands that. It’s not a gotcha or sign of superior understanding of the real way the world (or Walt Disney World) works. But I digress.

Here’s the list of freebies* at the 2025 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party…

FREE Ornament!

Walt Disney World has revealed the keepsake ornament that guests will receive during the 2025 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The design features Mickey Mouse and Pluto in a pickup truck, hauling home a Christmas tree. The MVMCP text logo is on the door of their ride, and the truck has been tricked out with peppermint candy cane spinners.

Guests will receive the ornament at check-in to the 2025 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and the keepsake is included with your purchase of your party ticket. In each of the past few years, the ornament has been distributed in the Main Street USA bypass. Honestly, I can’t recall whether we had to double-back to the bypass or if we received it at one of the other in-park check-in locations previously; the years all blend together.

These ornaments are a nice touch, and they’re something Walt Disney World started doing when Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party resumed post-reopening. They’ve been a hefty metal ornament (but not too heavy) that’s suitable for hanging on an actual tree–not just cheap plastic junk. For a year or two, Disney also distributed a lovely poster upon exiting the park, but that didn’t happen either of the last two years.

FREE Cookies!

During MVMCP, the highlight for many guests is stopping for the free cookies, hot cocoa, and other holiday refreshments. There are stations to get these all over the park, and different cookies are served at each of them.

Delight in holiday-themed cookies and festive beverages that are included with event admission. Here’s a list of locations and the tasty-treats available during the 2025 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party:

  • Red Velvet Cake Cookie – The Lunching Pad
  • Buttercream-Frosted Chocolate Chip Cookie made with M&M’S® Milk Chocolate Minis – Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café
  • Snowman-Shaped Pretzel – Walt Disney World Railroad station in Fantasyland
  • Caramel Pretzel Chocolate Chip Cookie – Gaston’s Tavern
  • Hot Cocoa Cookie made with DOVE® Chocolate Pieces – Tortuga Tavern
  • Buttercream-Frosted Gingerbread Cookie – Sunshine Tree Terrace

The following free treats are allergy-friendly for peanut, tree nut, egg, milk, fish, shellfish, soy, gluten/wheat and sesame allergies (the top 9 allergens):

  • Chocolate Mint Mini Cookies – at The Lunching Pad
  • Vanilla Mini Cookies – at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café
  • Lemon Burst Mini Cookies – at the Walt Disney World Railroad station in Fantasyland
  • Chocolate Chip Cookie – at Gaston’s Tavern
  • Double Chocolate Chip Cookie – at Tortuga Tavern
  • Gingersnap Mini Cookies – at Sunshine Tree Terrace

Some of the allergy-friendly cookies actually sound better than the normal ones. Might have to do some taste-testing…for the sake of Very Important Research, of course.

Note that this lineup is a bit different than last year and notably doesn’t list the beverages that’ll be available at each station. With that said, it’s not a dramatic departure from prior years.

That Snowman-Shaped Pretzel is a ghost of Christmas parties past, and as you can see from the below list, a few of those are returning from last year. But there are a couple of newcomers, and that’s nice.

For reference, here’s last year’s free festive MVMCP treats list:

  • Gaston’s Tavern: Buttercream Frosted Gingerbread Cookie and Eggnog
  • Columbia Harbour House: Caramel Pretzel Chocolate Chip Cookie and Hot Chocolate
  • Lunching Pad: Buttercream Green Cookies and Apple Cider
  • Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café: Buttercream Green Cookies and Hot Chocolate
  • Tortuga Tavern: Red Velvet Cake Cookie and Apple Cider

My hope is that someday Disney will restore a greater variety of offerings–the cookies really peaked in 2018-2019, with the Peppermint Crunch and Ginger Molasses Cookies. I can’t recall who the sponsor of the cookies was that year (or if there even was one), but it’s been Cheryl’s Cookies for the last few years.

I’d assume that’s still the case for 2025 (since there’s some overlap with last year), and that the lineup is limited to whatever the sponsor offers. I would note that Cheryl’s Cookies does have a candy cane flavored cookie, so there’s some hope for the future.

For the Joeys out there salivating at the cookie lineup and saying, “here’s where I win my money back,” you’re in luck. Cheryl’s Cookies are shockingly expensive. All you need to do is grab approximately 100 of these bad boys, and you’re coming pretty close to breaking even. That is, assuming you value them at their full retail price. This strikes me as the type of product that routinely does big discounts and coupons, so perhaps that number is closer to 200. Either way, that’s your challenge!

FREE Member Gift!

On select nights of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, eligible Disney Vacation Club Members can swing by McKim’s Mile House – A Member Lounge to pick up a free holiday keepsake. This special freebie is included with your event admission on select nights: November 7, 14, 21; December 5, 12, 19.

The lounge space of McKim’s Mile House will be closed, and regular lounge amenities (like Coke Freestyle) and services will not be available during the event. A valid DVC Digital Membership Card and photo ID are required at check-in, and the Member listed on the Digital Membership Card must be in attendance to receive the holiday keepsake. We got this at MNSSHP and it was a Halloween-themed tote bag.

One of the last couple of years, the Christmas party gifts were nice metal ornaments–here’s hoping it’s a repeat of that! Disney Vacation Club also seems to have a surplus of mummy-shaped rice krispie treats from Halloween, so attendees of the first couple Christmas parties might also be “treated” to those. (Or even day guests of McKim’s Mile House.)

This is in addition to the growing list of Disney Vacation Club Membership Extras, which currently lists 317 Member Benefits according to Disney. As discussed in the commentary, we’re reasonably optimistic that the list of worthwhile Membership Extras will continue to grow in the coming years. 1. I’m disappointed that the DVC benefits are only on certain nights and not all the nights that DVC discount was offered – I’m there on the 13th on a DVC discounted ticket!

    1. I agree! And think it is totally unfair to the rest of us DVC members who will be attending on the other nights. I mean do we not count? We pay our dues just like every other DVC member just saying!

  2. I agree that some of the allergen-free cookies sound great, would I have to get a token to pick these up or would they give me some to try if I stop by those areas?

  3. I’m really excited about the free cookies and souvenirs at the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! It sounds like a great way to enjoy the holiday season at Disney. Can’t wait to bring my family!

  4. This sounds amazing! I love how Disney always offers special treats during the holidays. Looking forward to it!

  5. My wife and I haven’t been the past few years but will attend the 2nd week of December. We will try our best to hit every cookie location and meet with some of the special characters. And of course, get the “free” ornament and any other specials offered during the party.

  6. How can we get them to bring back the ginger molasses cookiessssss!!??!! I have dreams about those!! Nothing will ever compare!

  7. Last years FREE MVMCP ornament can be purchased on eBay for basically $10. A party map a couple of dollars.
I don’t suggest anyone buy last years free cookies on eBay at any price.
AND BTW The parade and fireworks can be seen for “free” during Christmas week.
Now that I sound like Scrooge McDuck I will add that we will attend MVMCP the week after Thanksgiving 2028.

    1. Hey, old friend, I would hope that your 2028 vacation plans would also include festivities the week BEFORE Thanksgiving that year; most specifically November 18?? 🙂
