2017 Mickey’s Halloween and Christmas Party Tickets Now on Sale!
2017 tickets just went on sale today for the Halloween and Christmas Parties in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, and prices are up across the board, with increases of 2% to 9% depending upon the dates you want to attend.
This year, the parties closest to both Christmas and Halloween are most expensive, with Halloween night reaching a new record high price at $115 per adult and $110 per child. With Halloween night selling out every year and ticket resellers routinely selling them for ~$200/night, don’t expect this trend to change anytime soon.
2017 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party tickets range in price from a low of $74 to a high of $115 for adults, which is the largest swing in prices we’ve ever seen. Children’s tickets will set you back $69 to $100. Click here to view a calendar with full pricing details on DisneyWorld.com, which is also where you can purchase tickets now. The August and early September tickets are the cheapest of the bunch–turns out Disney realizes most people don’t want to celebrate Halloween in late summer?! For the sake of comparison, here are last year’s prices…
The Halloween Party tickets cost $72 to $105 last year for adults and $67 to $100 last year for children. The silver lining there is that price increases are relatively modest for the first half of dates, with the only double-digit spike being for Halloween itself.
If you’re going to attend Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and have flexibility on which date you can attend, read our Best and Worst MNSSHP Dates post to help choose the potentially least-crowded party.
If you’re still on the fence, debating whether the party will be worth the money, we can help you answer that question in our Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Tips & Review post. That post offers party strategy (including an approach to rare characters), and also analysis as to the value for money.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2017 tickets are also now available, with prices ranging from $89 to $109 for adults, with dates closer to Christmas (generally) be among the more expensive dates. Kids’ tickets cost $84 to $104. Click here to view a calendar with full pricing details on DisneyWorld.com, which is also where you can purchase tickets now.
For comparison, Christmas Party tickets for last year’s party ranged from $86 to $99 for adults and $81-94 for children. This represents a relatively minimal price increase on the low end, with the premium dates increasing by $10 per ticket.
Unsurprisingly, parties on December 19, 21, and 22 are the costliest; these are dates that would not have had parties at all a couple of years ago due to their proximity to the crowded Christmas period.
We likewise have a post detailing the Best and Worst MVMCP Dates, so check that out if you want to avoid crowds. (Spoiler alert: stay away from that last week. Not just for Christmas Party crowds, but crowds in general.)
As for whether the Christmas Party is worth the money, read our Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Tips & Review post for insight into that. In addition to a review, that post offers comprehensive tips on everything from the best free cookies during the party to strategy for the parade and fireworks.
Overall, we cannot say we’re too surprised by any of these party ticket prices. After the steep price increases last year and subsequent drop-off in attendance for a number of dates, we half-expected no price increases at all for some dates. Perhaps that is naive in the world of Disney, but ~$2-4 bumps per ticket are about the next best thing. On the other end of the spectrum, the party on Halloween and those the week before Christmas would probably sell out if they were priced at $175/person, so it’s doubtful we’ll see an end to price increases on those tickets anytime in the near future.

Do we already know which attractions will be open for the MNSSHP? It will be my first time there and I don’t know how the rides work.
Does anybody know how dining reservations work for DURING the Halloween party?
BOG & CRT are supposedly accepting reservations during the party, but the website only allows bookings up to 6PM and they’re all full. We have to eat if we will be there from 4PM to 11 or 12. Disney Dining Rep told me that CRT & BOG are open for reservations during the party if you can prove that you have MNSSHP tix, but she didn’t know how to make one. She thought it was already sold out during the parties until I told her the website lists 6pm as closing time. All the party reviews say there are limited QS food options during the party. I don’t want to feed my daughter too much sugar. It’s our first time going to Disney. I can’t thank you enough for all of your help Bricker Family!

A few others have commented about the 6:00 closing time at Magic Kingdom, in November , on Christmas party dates. Does anyone know if we can still get in at 4:00 if attending the party? Any information on why closing then? Thank you!!
You can still get in early at 4:00 PM if you have a separate ticket to the party. They have the park closing early to non-party attendees so they can attempt to get them all out before the party actually starts. It’s not uncommon to see non ticket holders for the party linger throughout the park.
Thank you Will!!

Are Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain not open for the party this year? I don’t see them on the list.
Thanks Wendy
Splash Mountain will be closed in 2017 from 8/28 – 11/16. I have not heard anything about Big Thunder for 2017. That ride was closed last year for refurbishments.
Does MVMCP require a separate park entry ticket? I am asking because we really wanted to do this but our reservations start 12/23. If we drive and get in the 22nd during the day, can we purchase the tickets for MVMCP and stay elsewhere that night?
Another ticket is not required. You have to arrive after 4pm to get in with the party ticket though.
Just got my tickets! I have a question though, can we attend to this party, leave and come back again?
On the same day I mean, In case one of my children get tired and need a nap, for instance. (We will spend all day in the MK)
The party technically starts at 7 PM, but they allow you to enter the park a few hours early. You can of course be at MK all day if you have a separate ticket.
Are you thinking about leaving after 7:00 PM? You get a bracelet after you show your ticket for the event, so I’m sure you can leave and come back if needed but maybe just schedule a nap before it starts.
My plan is to stay there all day, but I’m going with two children, God knows if they can handle it. I am just asking it just in case they need something,
Just got my mvmcp for November can’t wait
Hi, is there a way to add the tickets to My Disney Experience? I logged in to my account and bought the tickets but I was only able to print them and I can’t see them on my reservation.
Thank you!
I am wondering the same thing. Did you try linking them to your tickets manually in My Disney Experience? I selected for the tickets to be mailed, so I can’t try until I get them. I tried using the confirmation number, but it didn’t work. It’s super annoying that MNSSHP tickets and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reservations don’t show up in your reservations. So much for having everything in one place!
You have to add them manually under tickets on My Disney Experience. I’ve never printed them before but when they mail them there is a number on them and you put that in and assign each ticket to each person in your party
I tried to add them with the ticket number but it says they are already linked. Should I be able to see them somewhere?
I checked on the ‘My Tickets’ section of the My Disney Experience app and nothing showed up, I tried to add them by scanning the ticket and got the message saying they were already linked. I then went back in to ‘My Tickets’ and they had appeared. Hope this helps.
I can see them using the My Disney Experience app 🙂 In the browser for some reason I can’t.
I ordered mine today and can see them on my app but not on the browser. I called and they said technical difficulties and I should be able to see them within 72 hours!
Hi! Hope someone can help me, I’d love to go to MVMCP on December 3rd, do you know if the tickets for this date sell out quickly? I want to make sure all the people in my party will be able to attend and I want to know how much time I have or if I have to purchase them right away. Because this tickets are non renfundable, right? There’s no way I can sell them o give it to someone else?
There are 13 dates in Dec for the Christmas party, so I would not expect Dec 3rd to be in huge demand. That week has relatively low crowds to begin with and it is a Sunday. I purchased tickets to the event last year on 11/28, which was the day before. To be safe, maybe buy them a month in advance. The tickets are non-refundable. You would only be able to sell or transfer them if the event does in fact sell out or you offer them at a discount. I’m not sure how that would work.
Thank you so much!
Question. We will be attending the September 7th party as it’s the only one during our stay. It is also the only one that week. Do you anticipate high crowds and /or sell out for that date?
I just received your email with the info and I just bought our party tickets for sept 19 :D!!! it will be our first time.. i’m sooooo excited!
Thanks!!
Me toooo same date 😀
I’m planning on getting an annual pass, and it appears there will once again be a discount on the hard ticket events. I’m assuming it’s still a very small discount, can anyone log in with their pass and share the price difference?
Thanks for this amazingly helpful blog!
It discount varies by the date and there does not appear to be a discount on the dates with higher demand. The discount ranges from $4-$7 per ticket.
How fast does it generally take for MVMCP tickets to sell out once they go on sale?
Usually at least a month. Some dates don’t sell out until the day-of.
I would think that it would depend on the date. The week before Christmas will of course be in greater demand than November. In Nov and early Dec, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Disney is going to sell as many tickets as they can. Last year, we purchased tickets the day before the event (11/28) and the price was the same. I had thought about buying them early, but the tickets are non refundable. The weather is usually great that time of year, but you never know.
I have the very same question. I am afraid I cannot get my tickets in time.
Thank you for your awesome blog!!! Just picked up MNSSHP ticket so excited it will be our first Halloween in DW!!!
Got tickets for MNSSHP! It’ll be our first time, I’m so excited! Thanks for the update!
Do you know when hours will be posted for November – December? Looking to plan our Christmas trip and the hours/extra magic hours are not up yet…
As of today, the Magic Guide for Disney World app is showing park hours up until 11/16/17. It seems to advance in 1 day increments and it shows the same times as the My Disney Experience app. The latter only shows up to 11/6. I think they are both accurate, even though one posts 190 days out vs 180.
my travel agent sent these november hours to us last week.
https://media.disneywebcontent.com/StaticFiles/ParkHours/WDW_TAC_2017Nov.pdf
seems there are no late extra magic hours. she says they may change park closing times, but generally not the extra magic hours 🙁
For a particular week that you are going in Nov? It looks like there are 8 Days of extended PM hours in Nov, which seems to be in line with other months (8 in Sept, 10 in Oct). I like the strategy of going to that particular park the day after extended PM hours.
Does anybody know how dining reservations work during the Halloween party? BOG & CRT are supposed to be accepting reservations during the party, but the website only allows bookings up to 6PM. So much for being able to make dining reservations 180 days in advance…
What are the hours of the party?
7pm – midnight (guests with party’s ticket can arrive in MK by 4pm)
Thanks for the update Tom! I’ve been patiently waiting for them to announce the ticket sales. I just bought our MVMCP tickets for Tues, December 5th! Can’t wait, this will be our first Christmas party!!!!
Got tickets for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party for Tuesday, 5th December, very excited! The website showed the tickets as being available, but the purchase would not go through until it was 7:00am EST. Glad I managed it online, as there was a wait of over two hours by phone.
