Disney Restaurant Reviews

Our restaurant reviews offer food photos, menu info & tips, and recommendations on what to order at 300+ counter and table service dining spots at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Tokyo, Paris, and beyond. We cover best & worst meals, value for money, and more to help you choose where to eat based upon theme, ambiance, cuisine & cost. (Updated February 23, 2025.)

Below you’ll find a regularly updated index with links to every Disney restaurant we’ve ever reviewed. It covers all of the most recent additions at the domestic and international Disney Parks, including Cake Bake Shop, Tiana’s Palace, Toy Story Roundup Rodeo BBQ, Space 220 Restaurant, La Taverne de Gaston, plus Royal Banquet of Arendelle and Snuggly Duckling in Fantasy Springs.

Over a dozen new Disney restaurants have opened recently and more are on the way in 2025 and beyond. This is especially true at Disneyland, where the Downtown Disney reimagining has yielded a number of new and reimagined restaurants. By contrast, Walt Disney World is largely in between redevelopment cycles, and nothing new is expected in 2025. Still, we’ll continue to revisit restaurants as menus change, and will add new reviews of these restaurants and updates on other locations.

Essentially, this is a look at every Walt Disney World and Disneyland restaurant we’ve ever reviewed, plus Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disney Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and Aulani restaurants. Each review starts with a description of the restaurant, useful info, interior photos and thoughts on theme, followed by food photos and reviews of each item we tried. Each review concludes with out overall impressions, pros and cons of the restaurant, and whether we’d recommend it.

We have dined at hundreds of different Disney restaurants in the last few years–literally–more unique Disney restaurants than any other reviewers. That’s probably not something to boast about, but we’re proud, nonetheless. Moreover, we think this wide range of experience at Disney’s global parks, and not just Walt Disney World and Disneyland, gives us better perspective.

A couple things to note. First, we strongly value atmosphere and theme, and focus on these two characteristics pretty heavily in our reviews. To us, themed design is one advantage Disney has over real world restaurants. Most Disney restaurants will not measure up to real world counterparts in terms of cuisine or pricing. Thematically, they are second to none, though.

Moreover, these restaurants are graded on a curve relative to other dining in their respective parks. As compared to ‘real world’ restaurants, most options in the Disney parks are overpriced for the cuisine quality. However, you pay a premium for the location, convenience, and thematic attention to detail.

What we do not do is offer faint praise to every single item we eat, or every restaurant. There’s a lot of bad food in the Disney parks, and we will offer our genuine impressions of what is not worth your time or limited stomach space. You can find no shortage of sites that offer nothing but effusive praise and think all things Disney are amazing. This is not one of those sites.

Nevertheless, reasonable minds may differ with regard to the same restaurant. This is a big reason why we encourage readers to offer their feedback in reply to each review–and you’ll find a lot of good (and also unbiased) crowd-sourced info in the comments section.

With that said, click each restaurant name to read our full review of the restaurant. In them, you’ll find commentary about theme, atmosphere, and cuisine quality. Or you can just ‘vote with your eyes’ and browse through the food photos of different items that each restaurant serves.

We will be making return visits to many of these restaurants throughout the year, with character dining experiences being a big focus for 2025. Admittedly, some of the reviews below are a bit older, so check back throughout the year for updates–unlike Chef Mickey’s, we’re trying our best to keep everything fresh!

You probably noticed that this page includes links to only restaurant reviews. We have a wide variety of other dining resources, including where to eat to maximize your savings on the Disney Dining Plan, where the best cupcakes, steaks, etc. are found, and a myriad of “Top 10” dining lists. In many cases, these resources are more helpful than the reviews themselves. To find these resources for your destination, be sure to check out our Walt Disney World Restaurant Reviews & Resources or our Disneyland Resort Restaurant Reviews & Resources. Both of those pages include links to reviews, plus the other resources.

This is just a partial listing of the restaurants at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and beyond, at which we’ve dined thus far. We have a lot more reviews coming soon, especially from the non-US parks. Even if you don’t plan on ever visiting the international parks, we think it can be fun to see the unique Disney theming that each offer, as well as the sometimes unfamiliar (and sometimes very familiar!) cuisine, so make sure to read those reviews, too. Just be careful…you might find yourself wanting to visit those parks, too!

Check back often as we update this list with more favorites. We also recommend looking through and searching the menus of different Disney restaurants to see what might appeal to you, because there are a lot of choices.

  1. I have an 8:25am reservation at Crystal Palace for July 14. What time will they let us in the park?

  2. Have you reviewed Fulton’s Crab House? I originally was planning on doing California Grill twice in one visit, but changed one reservation to Fulton’s. It was difficult to get the reservation so it must be good!

  3. There is nothing like eating around WDW especially when you get the free dining. Its the best way to experience new foods. This Sept will mark my 31st visit to the Happiest Place On Earth. Time to knock off a few more restaurant’s from the list !

  4. Tom, Its the Big 25 year anniversay. whats a good resturant for a Anniversery Dinner, with a view of fireworks, or whatever they do at night

  5. My husband and I visit WDW often and very rarely know 180 days out that we will be going. This being said we have often been bummed we aren’t able to get reservations at some of the more popular restaurants we still want to try (we recognize that this is our own fault though for not planning far enough ahead). Anyways, we will be going to the Flower and Garden Festival in April and I had really wanting been wanting to eat at Be Our Guest for dinner. Of course, when I checked there were no reservations, but then I found a site called WDWtablefinder.com. For a one time (in my opinion minimal fee) you can do mass searches, as well as set up a certain number of email notifications. The site constantly searches Disney to help you find anything that might open up. Within 24 hours of signing up I had a notification for a Be Our Guest reservation, and had it booked shortly there after! I have now been able to edit my notifications for different restaurants and am very pleased with the results I have gotten. This is a great tool for anyone who can’t plan the 180 days out, but still wants to eat at some of the more popular restaurants.

  6. Hi.. we are traveling to Disneyland early next week. We are not staying in any of the Disney hotels (Indigo) but wanted to find one meal with some characters for our daughters (age 9). What would you recommend for a family/Disney Character Dining experience? do we need reservations?

  7. Tom,

Noticed that you don’t have a review for Mama Melrose’s. We had a great experience there. The food was wonderful and the service was even better!

    1. We’ve dined at Mama Melrose and thought it was fine, but I forgot to take photos of the food. Thanks for the feedback!

  8. The worse meal and the restaurant I have been too. We came for our 27 year together. We showed up on time the table they gave us was next to the rest rooms. The waiter Sean only came by to give us menus and then to take our order. The apps tasted old and the shrimp was water soaked and tasted very old. The Main meal came we both ordered them same steaks. My wife’s was rare and mine was well done we asked for mid steaks. The cost was 140 for the meal. Told them we were not happy food or serve they told us if we did not buy they would call the police?? Only wanted to tell the issues. I would not bring a DOG there to eat the food was that bad. Once back at hotel we both got sick from the little food we did eat.

  9. Have you guys ever tried Maya Grill at Coronado Springs? I love reading your blog for all my Disney research and was considering trying the restaurant out, but love to read reviews first!

    1. Have yet to try Maya Grill. I’ve heard mixed things–it’s probably a restaurant I’d give a shot if I were staying at Coronado, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat there.

  10. Walt Disney World is a magical place!!! If you go and wanna eat there on park go to Animal kingdom and eat in there food court is is Amazing!!!

  11. We’re 31 sleeps and counting from our trip, and so excited! As I’ve used your blog to plan our whole week, I wanted to get your opinion on Liberty Tree Tavern. Someone suggested it to my sister-in-law, so I wanted to check on your thoughts.

I’ll report back after our trip, but thank you for all the effort you put into this blog!

  12. Hi! What would you recommend for a great breakfast spot that is at one of the WDW hotels or just around Orlando. We are going to the Halloween Party one night and wanted to eat a big breakfast/brunch that day before we go to the Magic Kingdom that afternoon.
    Thank you!
    LOVE your blog!!!

  13. Why didn’t you review Cinderella’s Royal Table???
    😩😩😩😩
O reaaaaaaly wanted to read about this!!

  14. Hey Tom
When I click on Marrakesh it takes me to a Photo Tips blog page.
Thanks for the awesome blogs 🙂

  15. We got the Plus Disney Dining Plan. What do people normally do for breakfast?? Bring their own, pay to eat somewhere? What the best options?

    1. With the exception of a few table service restaurants, breakfast is not (in our opinion) that good at Walt Disney World. We usually just do a small snack in the morning (that we pack) and then do an early lunch.

  16. Sorry, I just saw the comment above mine that says they are available at the Plaza Inn at Disneyland. Do they have it for breakfast or lunch/dinner? It’s not listed on the menu for the restaurant on the Disney site. I might be going to Disneyland in the fall and I would love to get it if it’s available.

  17. Where do you get the chicken and Mickey waffles in the first picture at the top? I just had chicken and waffles for dinner at home; it is one of my favorite meals.
