Disney Restaurant Reviews

Our restaurant reviews offer food photos, menu info & tips, and recommendations on what to order at 300+ counter and table service dining spots at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Tokyo, Paris, and beyond. We cover best & worst meals, value for money, and more to help you choose where to eat based upon theme, ambiance, cuisine & cost. (Updated February 23, 2025.)

Below you’ll find a regularly updated index with links to every Disney restaurant we’ve ever reviewed. It covers all of the most recent additions at the domestic and international Disney Parks, including Cake Bake Shop, Tiana’s Palace, Toy Story Roundup Rodeo BBQ, Space 220 Restaurant, La Taverne de Gaston, plus Royal Banquet of Arendelle and Snuggly Duckling in Fantasy Springs.

Over a dozen new Disney restaurants have opened recently and more are on the way in 2025 and beyond. This is especially true at Disneyland, where the Downtown Disney reimagining has yielded a number of new and reimagined restaurants. By contrast, Walt Disney World is largely in between redevelopment cycles, and nothing new is expected in 2025. Still, we’ll continue to revisit restaurants as menus change, and will add new reviews of these restaurants and updates on other locations.

Essentially, this is a look at every Walt Disney World and Disneyland restaurant we’ve ever reviewed, plus Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disney Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and Aulani restaurants. Each review starts with a description of the restaurant, useful info, interior photos and thoughts on theme, followed by food photos and reviews of each item we tried. Each review concludes with out overall impressions, pros and cons of the restaurant, and whether we’d recommend it.

We have dined at hundreds of different Disney restaurants in the last few years–literally–more unique Disney restaurants than any other reviewers. That’s probably not something to boast about, but we’re proud, nonetheless. Moreover, we think this wide range of experience at Disney’s global parks, and not just Walt Disney World and Disneyland, gives us better perspective.

A couple things to note. First, we strongly value atmosphere and theme, and focus on these two characteristics pretty heavily in our reviews. To us, themed design is one advantage Disney has over real world restaurants. Most Disney restaurants will not measure up to real world counterparts in terms of cuisine or pricing. Thematically, they are second to none, though.

Moreover, these restaurants are graded on a curve relative to other dining in their respective parks. As compared to ‘real world’ restaurants, most options in the Disney parks are overpriced for the cuisine quality. However, you pay a premium for the location, convenience, and thematic attention to detail.

What we do not do is offer faint praise to every single item we eat, or every restaurant. There’s a lot of bad food in the Disney parks, and we will offer our genuine impressions of what is not worth your time or limited stomach space. You can find no shortage of sites that offer nothing but effusive praise and think all things Disney are amazing. This is not one of those sites.

Nevertheless, reasonable minds may differ with regard to the same restaurant. This is a big reason why we encourage readers to offer their feedback in reply to each review–and you’ll find a lot of good (and also unbiased) crowd-sourced info in the comments section.

With that said, click each restaurant name to read our full review of the restaurant. In them, you’ll find commentary about theme, atmosphere, and cuisine quality. Or you can just ‘vote with your eyes’ and browse through the food photos of different items that each restaurant serves.

We will be making return visits to many of these restaurants throughout the year, with character dining experiences being a big focus for 2025. Admittedly, some of the reviews below are a bit older, so check back throughout the year for updates–unlike Chef Mickey’s, we’re trying our best to keep everything fresh!

That covers all of the restaurants we’ve reviewed thus far!

You probably noticed that this page includes links to only restaurant reviews. We have a wide variety of other dining resources, including where to eat to maximize your savings on the Disney Dining Plan, where the best cupcakes, steaks, etc. are found, and a myriad of “Top 10” dining lists. In many cases, these resources are more helpful than the reviews themselves. To find these resources for your destination, be sure to check out our Walt Disney World Restaurant Reviews & Resources or our Disneyland Resort Restaurant Reviews & Resources. Both of those pages include links to reviews, plus the other resources.

This is just a partial listing of the restaurants at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and beyond, at which we’ve dined thus far. We have a lot more reviews coming soon, especially from the non-US parks. Even if you don’t plan on ever visiting the international parks, we think it can be fun to see the unique Disney theming that each offer, as well as the sometimes unfamiliar (and sometimes very familiar!) cuisine, so make sure to read those reviews, too. Just be careful…you might find yourself wanting to visit those parks, too!

Check back often as we update this list with more favorites. We also recommend looking through and searching the menus of different Disney restaurants to see what might appeal to you, because there are a lot of choices.

  1. We have early dining reservations our next WDW visit. How do we get from Wilderness Lodge to MK if it is before buses, monorails, water transports start that morning? We prefer not to take taxi or uber as we are a party of 7 with an infant.
    Thanks

  2. I really wish you would “date stamp” your reviews. It would allow us to put the review in better context.

  3. Free Dining Plan Debacle – Did my duty and got up at 4am to get in line for free dining and hung in there until the 5:30 announcement. I already had a temporary reservation at Caribbean Beach and was looking for Free Dining there and if not at a value resort. When I logged into my Disney Experience at 5:30 I could not find a way to add Free Dining and quickly for a place where it said you had to add Free Dining with your ticket purchase. I quickly dropped $ and ordered my tickets but Disney responded with an email that said my order was in process and I would get an email when my tickets were ready. 15 minutes later its 6:00 and no tickets. Time to call and get in line. Over 80 calls later and as many ‘all lines are busy’ I get through to an automated answering service and put into a queue. A dead silent queue. 7:30 and I still have a shot. After waiting on the line a half hour at 8:00 I now start getting Disney music and advertising on the phone. A sign of life. 8:05 I get the email that my park tickets are ready. While waiting on the phone I take the initiative to go online and see if I can add the Free Dining Plan. No way. No sign of it as an option with my reservation. 55 minutes later at 9:05 the music on the phone is interrupted by a phone ring. Wahoo finally an agent. But no. Another automated response thanking me for calling Disney – Good bye. What??
I got to go to work. Better get my daughter on this. She takes over and eventually gets to an agent who tells her at around 10 am Caribbean Beach is sold out but there is still Free Dining at the All Star Music. She calls me and gives me the news and I decide to book it online and by the time I get there its gone. Sold out in all rooms. Wow what a day. But thanks anyways for the heads up about the promo. Bummer I hadn’t originally booked a package.

  4. Question: is it possible to go to the Be Our Guest restaurant if you ONLY want to get “the grey stuff”?

  5. I’ve been going to Disney World for years and I’m SO SURPRISED you haven’t been to Mama Melrose’s or Olivia’s! They’re my absolute favorites. They’re pretty pricey but usually I have the disney dining plan so it’s not that bad. Going to Mama’s and then Fantasmic right after has been a Disney tradition in my family for years and it’s a fantastic way to end a day at Hollywood Studios. (Plus, right after, you can make it on Rockin Rollercoaster or Tower of Terror with a nearly empty line)

    1. YES!! I so agree!! I sent him an email about it as well. It would be so helpful.

  6. Hey Tom-
Thoughts on Blue Lagoon at DL? Yes? No? Now that Big Thunder BBQ is gone, our table service of usual choice is gone now.

    1. I assume you mean Blue Bayou, and I’m a bit reluctant on it. The ambiance is exceptional and the food is fairly good, but it is really expensive. We typically opt for Cafe Orleans or Carnation Cafe instead as lower-cost alternatives (albeit with less-impressive ambiance).

  7. For a once in a lifetime trip, which WDW Character dining do you think would wow my boy 2, and girls 6 and 7??

    1. Hi! I’m not an expert by any means, but I do have three kids your kids’ ages! We just went to WDW and did three character dining meals – I wouldn’t recommend the Disney Jr. one in Hollywood Studios – it was just too loud and crazy for us. The Winnie the Pooh and Friends at the Crystal Palace was great – my kids are big fans and loved the characters – also great atmosphere and food. The hands-down winner, though, was the princess breakfast at Akershus in Epcot. Phenomenal. It’ll be at the top of our list every time we go back to WDW, for sure. And if your girls are into princesses, it’ll blow their socks off. The princesses talk, for one, unlike characters with heads on their costumes, and the castle is breathtaking. Plus, if you book a breakfast before the park opens, you’re next door to the Frozen ride before the rope drop. 🙂

  8. We were in Disney World (Florida) the first week of October 2016. Most of our time was fun (except during the hurricane) but had a sad experience at Via Napoli restaurant in “Italy”.
WE were told the pizza was super delicious. We ordered two small pizzas, a cup of coffee, a glass of water and a dessert. My pizza was barely warm. It was supposed to be a sausage pizza. There were a few sausage crumbles on my barely warm pizza. My lady partner said her pizza was good. The bill was $72.00 plus the tip. A real rip off.

  9. FYI Craft Beer is open in Epcot for Christmas. My husband says it’s just as good – if not better – beer as Food and Wine Festival.

  10. A suggestion: put the dates of the review next to the links. Your reviews are awesome and it would be great to review the most current ones at a glance.

  11. Any plans to review the Mexican Pavilion restaurants in EPCOT? I love reading your reviews while planning our trips and am curious about those two table service locations.

  12. Hello!

If we spend New Years Eve at Epcot Center, which restaurant do you recommend for a nice dinner? with wine etc etc
    Thank you!

  13. We are arriving in December 2016 with 2 grand boys. 1 with Autism. Do you recommend the Quick Service or Dining Plan. We were offered the Quick Service plan & was told we should purchase it, but now I realize no table service restaurant accept Quick Service. Should we change? Please answer. Thanks.

  14. Excellent beat ! I wish to apprentice while you amend your web site, how can i
subscribe for a blog web site? The account aided me a acceptable deal.

I had been tiny bit acquainted of this your broadcast provided bright clear idea

  15. Hi

You have recommended some restaurants in the resorts. If we are relying on Disney transport to get to and from other resorts, how late does the transport run from resorts to the parks?

For example: We’re thinking of booking dinner at Sanaa in Animal Kingdom Resort and then using the transportation to go to Epcot (the park with the latest closing time at 11pm) and then get coach back to our hotel (Saratoga Springs). Is it feasible or would we be better using a taxi?

    Thanks for your help
